"ONE MINUTE AND ONLY 900 DAMAGE?!" Angel Michael gasped as his darted from the timer to the HP bar of the Boss Monster.
"Don't think about the number! Just keep hitting!" White Emperor shouted.
Big Nurse's eyes were soaked in sweat. "My mana's going down fast—Potion cooldown still active!"
His fingers trembled as he checked his storage space and brought out another potion.
"I must do this.. I must keep them alive.. I must make up for my mistakes."
"Haha.. Puny humans.. Your desperation makes me elated."
The Infernal Feral King finally reacted with more than a smirk.
He raised both arms—and then slammed them into the ground.
[Infernal Quake]
Crackled appeared on the surface of the earth as the players feet trembled as they remained stuck. That was a wide AoE attack which had a stunning effect.
CRACK!
The field splitted as Lava erupted. Fire shot into the sky.
White Emperor – Stunned
Tipa – Stunned
Young Star – Evaded
Slicer – Knocked Back (HP -1,200)
They were all flung apart like toy soldiers.
"BIG NURSE! WE NEED YOU!" Tipa shouted from the ground as his HP was dropping like a running water.
"I'm trying—!" Big Nurse cried back in panic as his fingers trembled in the air and his lips kept on changing spells after spells.

Green light rained down—but the cooldowns were stacking too fast. Big Nurse's MP bar was nearly empty.
"Kenny, you're the only one standing!" Young Star screamed.
"I'll show you why I joined this team!" Kenny howled.
[Frost Howl] – Damage + Taunt Aura
Ice burst out from her Greatsword, coating her armor in white crystal. She leapt—cleaving at the King's waist.
The King turned and caught the Great sword with only one hand as he glared down at the Level 10 Berserker. A human that was half his current level.
"Shit—" she barely had time to react as the Infernal Feral King threw out his free hand.
Then came the punch.

The punch landed squarely on her chest and her armor shattered completely, flinging her to a side But she remained standing. Barely.
The determination in her eyes causing the Infernal Feral King eyes to flicker with light.
"...not...yet..." Her eyes darted to the timer in her system interface, it was little above 3 minutes. They still had 2 minutes to keep the monster busy and the monster had just lost 10% of it HP.

'It's learning how they fight… toying with them.'
Malik eyes narrowed as he watched the battle between the team and the Infernal Feral King.
'It didn't even stand up for the first full minute… now it's just stretching its arms…'
He gritted his teeth. 'I wonder if it's a good thing or bad thing. I pray it doesn't get serious till I finish this comprehension because the moment it get serious, it'll be the end.'
'Two more minutes. Just two more minutes.'
He focused again, the image reflecting in his brain. The Primordial Chaos flowed through him like black flames pumping his blood vigorously.
He was agitated and worried but he didn't move. He knew he have to do this if they'll ever stood a chance. .

"GET BACK INTO FORMATION!" Kenny shouted with blood dripping down her lips.
Everyone obeyed her command without hesitation.

Their stats surged.
Together, they launched one final coordinated wave of strikes and spells.

The combination of all their attack launched towards the Infernal Feral King who just stood there amused by the futile struggle of the team.
The attack landed on its body causing him to staggered back a little as a damage of -1400 appeared on its head..
Their combined attack has depleted the Boss HP by 10% and he was still having 85% of his HP left.
"Impossible.."
"Unbelievable.."
They were breathing heavily with their eyes wide open.. Their body exhausted with no energy left. Their combined attack had only taken just 10% of his HP. All their potions were gone and the mages were depleted out of mana. They couldn't even stand straight and it was still remaining 1 minute.
"You should know right from the start that it was just a futile attempt but nevertheless I'm entertained by your performance."
"So I'll grant you all a swift death."
The Infernal Feral King finally unsheathed his weapon. A massive black sword of flame, nearly the size of a human.
The field dropped ten degrees in temperature just from its presence as the body of the team stiffen. They couldn't even move an inch or bulge a muscle.
They just stood there knowing fully well that their fate has been decided. They couldn't even accomplish their mission. They couldn't last for five minutes.
INFERNAL SLASH!
The Infernal Feral King cried out when he raised it arm and then swung it down in a straight manner. A fiery arc of light about the size of a building came out of the Greatsword, surging towards the team who had already accepted their death. The arc of fiery light enveloped everywhere decimating and leveling the area turning it into nothing but a larva lake.
But instead of a smile, a frown appeared on the face of the Infernal Feral King as he tilted his head to see that the team were not in the range of the fiery arc. They had already retreated faraway from it.
'How's that possible?' He thought when his gaze fell on the Level 4 player that was backing him and standing in front of the players. The player was equipped in a black armor and emitting from his body was an aura that was far beyond his level.
The player was none other than Malik. He had activated the skill from his boot, increasing his speed by 30% and quickly pulled out his team from the range of the Boss AoE attack before they were enveloped.
"I failed to keep up my promise Boss." Kenny struggled to get up but Malik flashed her a smile instead.
"You did well Kenny, Micheal, Taiwo, White Emperor, Tipa, Slicer, Young Star.. And you Big Nurse, you surprise me.."
"I'll make sure to pay you back for your help... You can leave the rest to me."
Malik smile when he turn facing the direction of the Infernal Feral King and the team bursted into cry..
The tears of Joy...
"Boss.. Go for it.."
"Kill that overgrown monster."
"Boss.. I need his sword."
"Boss make sure to preserve the skill book for me."
The smile on Malik face brightened.. He has managed to create an impression on the team but how will defeating A Special Elite Monster be easy.
