"Damn, we barely managed to hit her," thought Ghislaine, standing in front of Conan and protecting him while watching the woman. "Even though there are more of us, we can't let our guard down. They know how to fight better than we do," she said, looking behind him.
"Ghislaine, what do we do?" I asked, looking at both him and the woman.
"We have to hurry and finish this quickly," she said, getting into position before shooting toward the woman, slashing her neck.
At the same time that Ghislaine lunged at the woman, the Magician and the other boy surrounded her and attacked her, with another earth bolt aimed at her head and a slash aimed at her legs so that she couldn't dodge all the attacks at once. The woman jumped and, with a twist, kicked the bolt, as well as escaping both sword attacks.
"What? How can she move like that? It shouldn't even be possible," I thought in amazement as I watched the woman's movements. I rushed forward and blocked an attack from the woman that was aimed directly at Ghislaine's face.
Cushioning the blow pushed me back a few meters, with Ghislaine being pushed with me. As I got up, I saw the woman coming for us before she was hit by a fireball that struck her healthy arm. I looked at the wizard, who was already preparing another spell, so I got up and ran towards him to cover him from any surprise attacks while Ghislaine and the other boy got to their feet and attacked the woman at the same time.
The fight between the three of them was an incredible scene of flashes and screeches caused by the swords striking each other. The wizard was in charge of casting spells at the woman, which helped distract her and allow the others to land some blows. But at that moment, with a complex movement of her sword, the woman caused the swords that were coming at her to collide with each other, neutralizing each other before cutting both of them.
"Ghislaine!" I shouted in horror as I saw Ghislaine being pushed back while the other boy fell to the ground.
"Cyril, watch out!" shouted the wizard, throwing a fireball at the woman to separate her from the vulnerable boy.
The woman easily cut through the fireball before shooting toward us at incredible speed, appearing before us in an instant. I covered myself with my dagger, but it didn't do much good, as the woman's sword strike knocked the weapon out of my hands and onto the ground, leaving me defenseless.
On the ground, looking up, I saw the woman's sword coming down directly toward my head before being interrupted by another attack from the wizard. Interrupted again, the woman lunged at the wizard, and to my horror, I saw her sword pierce the wizard's body, covering her sword with blood before pulling it out and kicking his body away.
Did I kill him? I ask myself, looking at his body and the woman waving her sword to clean the blood off it. This didn't happen... it can't... she's going to kill us. Help! Please help, I think in my head as my body remains immobile, overcome with fear. We worked so hard, we were preparing for this for a long time, and now I'm going to die...? I said to myself, feeling the air escape from my lungs. No... I can't give up yet, just find the dagger, I'll fight with that! At that moment, with what little courage I could muster, I got up and ran towards the dagger on the ground to pick it up and defend myself.
As I got up and took a few steps, I suddenly fell, crashing my face into the ground. Surprised, I looked down to see how a sword had pierced my leg, letting out a torrent of blood. When I realized what had happened, the pain overwhelmed me, and I let out a loud cry of pain before tears flowed from my eyes as I held my leg.
"Just like a child, you were very optimistic to think you could get your weapon back," said the woman, keeping her hand firmly on the sword that pierced my leg, letting her own weight fall on the hilt, causing the sword to sink even deeper into my flesh. "I don't deny it, your plan was good, but you ruined it when you started making so much noise," she said thoughtfully, looking me up and down.
It hurts too much, I said to myself, holding my leg as I felt the pressure on it increase more and more. In order not to look at the blood dripping from my leg, I looked away, surprised to see Ghislaine silently approaching, carrying her sword toward where I was standing next to the woman. Ghislaine, it's Ghislaine, he's still alive, I thought happily as I watched her silhouette approach. Quick, help me, quick, please, I called out in my head, feeling the pain intensify even more.
When Ghislaine was within striking distance, she launched a downward slash at the woman's body, but it was useless, as the woman dodged it without any problem,Then I pulled the sword out of my leg and slashed horizontally across his body, causing blood to spurt out. Seeing Ghislaine's body fall to the ground, the joy I had felt before vanished completely from my body, and I was overcome with fear once again.
"Are you an idiot? Why are you staring at him when you know I'm right in front of you?" she said, returning my gaze.
"Hey, I'm still alive!" said the boy who had come with the wizard. He threw his sword near me before falling to the ground from exhaustion.
The woman looked at me before lunging at me, but thanks to the sword, I covered myself quickly and effectively. I got up with what little strength I had left and did a somersault to get next to her.
"This time I won't let you hit me!" I shouted, using all my strength to make an upward cut that severed the woman's arm holding her sword. Cutting off the woman's arm filled me with courage, which prompted me to continue cutting her. At that moment, I felt my whole body ache to the point of making me scream, causing me to fall motionless to the ground. "It hurts, it hurts so much!" I thought, feeling every part of my body break, unable to do anything to get up, I passed out, not knowing what happened to the woman.
