"Hey, how long are you going to laze around?"
Sakura stood with her hands on her hips, her face grinning as she looked at Fukamizu who was still lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling without any guilt.
"We have to study now!" she said, with a angry tone.
Seeing Fukamizu's relaxed expression, maybe the hope of studying tonight was just a hope.
"Can I have one more minute to laze around?" she asked in a lazy tone, her eyes still half-closed.
"What do you mean, all you've been doing is lazing around!" Sakura answered, she raise her tone. Her face was red—either from annoyance or disappointment.
"Aww..."
Seriously, Sakura thought, how could someone like her still get good grades without ever seriously studying? It was not only unfair, but also annoying.
But before she could vent any more of her rage and frustration, Fukamizu got up slowly and watched with a soft smile. Sakura would never acknowledge it, but her smile, as usual, made her heart race.
"Come on, Sakura. You're too harsh on yourself. You should learn to relax too." She moved closer, gently stroking Sakura's hair.
The touch made Sakura jump.
"H-Hey!..." she said, and then brushed her hand away, but her face was already redder than before.
Fukamizu just chuckled, showing no guilt at all. Then she looked towards the window.
"Oh... It's getting late," She said.
"Huh? Oh yeah, it's getting late," Sakura replied, her voice a little soft. For some reason, she felt like time passed too quickly when she was with her.
"I think it's time for me to go home. I'm tired of studying," she said, standing up and stretch her body.
Sakura glared. "What do you mean 'tired of studying'? All you do is laze around!"
"Hehehe, I guess you're right." She responded with a mischievous smile.
Sakura let out a sigh, half disappointed, half... I don't know. There was a part of her that enjoyed this time together, even though she hated to admit it.
"Oh yeah," Fukamizu said as she made her way to the door. She turned and smiled. "Don't miss me when I'm gone, okay?"
"What... What are you talking about?" Sakura replied nervously, lowering her head to hide the blush on her cheeks.
"Hehehe... Well then, see you tomorrow," she said while waving her hand.
"See you tomorrow..." Sakura replied quietly. After the door closed, she stood still for a moment. The room suddenly felt quieter. She walked slowly to where Fukamizu had been lying, then looked toward the door.
"Strange..." she whispered,
"... even though She was just annoying, why does it feel... quiet now?"
She sat down, hugging her knees, and staring at the floor.
"Maybe... spending time with her isn't that bad," she said quietly. Then without realizing it, she smiled a little.
"Or maybe... that's what I look forward to the most every day."
