World Setting

The Primordial Realm: An ancient, ethereal domain of raw, untamed power and the essence of Aethelgard. It is home to primordial beings and the most ancient Sprites, inaccessible to mortals except through rare, powerful magical portals or rifts.

The Fractured Realm: This is the mortal plane, encompassing the continent of Aerthos. It's a diverse land of various peoples, containing Five distinct nations:

Solara is the largest and most powerful human-led empire within the Fractured Realm (the continent of Aerthos). It occupies the central and western plains, known for its order, strong military, and balanced mastery of both Magi and Aura. Emperor Valen Aerion, Orin's father, is its current ruler. The Lumina Ascendant Institute is also located in Solara's capital.

Aetherion: The ancient Elven nation, renowned for its mastery of Magi and deep lore.

Ironbound: The formidable Dwarven kingdoms, masters of Aura and craftsmanship.

Wildwood: A collective of nature-aligned races, utilizing instinctive Magi and Aura.

Ventus: Independent coastal city-states, focused on trade and versatile in both Magi and Aura.

The Demon Realm: A desolate, corrupted dimension of dark energies and malevolent beings. It poses a constant threat to the Fractured Realm, accessible only through magical portals or unpredictable rifts.

Three fundamental Energy

Magi: This is the most common form of energy, drawn from the environment. It is channeled through incantations and techniques to perform various arcane arts, including elemental spells (like fire, water, earth, air, lightning), protective barriers, illusions, and even basic healing.

Aura: This is an intrinsic energy, stemming from an individual's life force, willpower, and spiritual essence. Cultivated through physical and mental discipline, Aura is primarily used to physically augment the user (enhancing strength, speed, durability), heighten senses, and project raw energy for offense or defense.

Sprites: These are incredibly rare and ancient entities, remnants of the true Gods who were diminished by a primordial conflict. Sprites possess power far beyond Magi or Aura, granting extraordinary abilities (like time control, healing, reality warping). Accessing their power requires a binding contract with severe, often irreversible costs, such as limbs, life force, or even one's soul.

There are five known Primary Sprites, each with a unique domain. The Progenitor Axiom stands as the most terrifying, capable of absolute reality alteration, accessible only through rare portals/rifts and demanding an utterly self-erasing cost.

In essence, Magi and Aura are the practiced arts of mortals, while Sprites represent a divine, ultimate power, rarely wielded and always at a profound price.
