Chapter 22 - Ran Away

"I regret to tell you that our brother in arms is in trouble, and he asked me to bring you a letter," Luke took out the letter that Tapu gave him and tried to organize the language in a playful way.

In the past, many expert players said when writing game guides: Interacting with NPCs in this way can maximize their recognition, thereby obtaining more mission clues and richer mission rewards.

For example, if an NPC has a piece of black iron equipment and a piece of silver equipment, both can be used as rewards for a task.

To them, both items are garbage, but to players, this is a qualitative difference.

Carolina's gaze lingered on Luke's fingers for a moment as if unintentionally, then she opened the letter and began to read.

"Those lowly kobolds were able to hurt Tapu. It seems that the altar in the mine summoned something else. Rogue, are you willing to do me a favor?"

"My lord, I will follow your orders," Luke said without hesitation, even though he knew it might be troublesome.

Others might think that Carolina is just a sentinel captain, a beautiful vase of the night elves, and therefore don't think she can issue any good tasks, but Luke, who has been reborn, doesn't think so.

In the version two years later, the orc army marched into the Whispering Woods and wanted to attack the city of Darnassus. On the way, they met the Sentinels of Shadowglen.

This sentinel team consisting of three people, which seemed to disappear into thin air with a wave of the hand, almost destroyed the entire orc army.

Carolina summoned the Moon Goddess!

Elune, the moon goddess, is a deity believed in by many races including the night elves. There are many gods in the background of the game "Dawn", but most of them are demigods or demons. There are no more than a handful of real gods like Elune.

If Elune had not never killed, no orc would have been able to escape from the Whispering Woods that time.

Speaking of which, the supreme ring in Luke's hand was forged by the demigod Cenarius, the son of the Moon Goddess, using divine power.

Some people say that Carolina is actually Tyrande Whisperwind, the great leader of the night elves and the wife of Archdruid Malfurion. The official has not commented on this statement.

Carolina smiled and said to Luke: "My subordinate is in danger. Unfortunately, I have a mission and cannot go to rescue him. Can you go and bring him back for me?"

System: Do you accept the mission: The Moon Priestess's commission, go to the Kobold Mine, and bring Explorer Tap back to Shadowglen. Mission time limit: 24 hours, mission reward: unknown.

Sure enough, Luke bent down without hesitation: "Moon Goddess, respected priestess, as a member of the elves, I will do my best!"

This mission is very difficult, because Luke is only level five now, but he has to face monsters from level eight to ten, and he also has to go through a jungle full of monsters.

But it's not a dead end. This is not a dungeon, it's in the wild, and he can find help.

"Diel'aran…" Carolina spoke a string of obscure ancient elven language to Luke and left with a mysterious look on her face.

Luke took two steps back respectfully, his figure faded and disappeared into the shadows.

The place where he had been standing was flooded with arrows and magic.

Nonsense, after wasting so much time, the Casualties of Lag people should have received the news and knew that he was in Carolina.

When Carolina was around, these people didn't dare to take action, but once Carolina left, no one would be polite anymore.

More than a dozen Casualties of Lag attacked instantly, and Luke escaped instantly. This only shows that the devil is always stronger than the good. This is the legendary consciousness. If he was two or three seconds slower, he would definitely be killed instantly.

Although I was not a professional rogue in my previous life, I had a lot of PK experience, so I could easily master this kind of dodging skill.

"Spread out and search. Everyone be careful. As soon as he shows his head, focus your fire immediately," the commander directed his own people while shouting to the surrounding players, "Casualties of Lag is doing his job. If you don't want to die, get out of here."

"You're crazy! You think you've traveled through time," the bystander cursed, and the voice was so quiet that only two or three of them could hear it.

"Stop grumbling and get out of here quickly. The Casualties of Lag are the most unreasonable people. Be careful or they will kill us all."

"I don't know how the rogue just now offended these people. I think he is in great danger." Most of the people were bystanders watching the joke, and occasionally someone sympathized with Luke.

"With so many people searching, they'll find him sooner or later," a curious person muttered, "I bet the rogue won't last more than five minutes."

"Nonsense, if we want to bet, let's bet on how long it will take for this rogue to be killed," the busybody actually took out a handful of coppers and started to make a deal.

No one thought that Luke could kill anyone, and no one even thought that he could escape.

On this side, more than twenty Casualties of Lag people have arrived. They are waving their weapons and forming a dense formation to attack everywhere, trying to find Luke who has just become invisible and is unlikely to escape.

After a full two minutes, just when the Casualties of Lag player was about to lose his patience, a scream came from behind a big tree.

After several nearby Casualties of Lag Guild players rushed over, they only saw a corpse that was turning into data.

Several people looked at each other and tried to use their skills on the nearby objects, but to no avail.

"Look, it's over there!" The bystanders around were very clear-headed and excitedly pointed in a direction for their companions to look.

His companion looked over and saw a warlock player with his head down, motionless. Behind him was a rogue swinging a dagger. Blood splattered and a critical hit killed the warlock instantly.

The entire killing process took less than ten seconds!

These ten seconds were actually enough for the Casualties of Lag players to find out where Luke was.

Looking at his colleague who was rushing over - a rogue, Luke smiled slightly and went to meet him.

The stealth skill was on cooldown, and the two thieves engaged in hand-to-hand combat, neither of them using stealth.

System: Block successfully, the damage caused to you by the opponent is reduced by 50%!

System: Shadow Strike skill completed 81%, causing 92% skill damage, and the target was stunned for 1 second.

The skill was completed and the dagger was retracted. During the retraction process, the tip of the knife sank and with a slight pull, a blood mark appeared on the back of the rogue. Before it could be pulled to the bottom, Luke turned his wrist and the tip of the knife changed from pulling down to cutting horizontally, and another blood mark appeared.

During the dizzy second, the poor rogue dealt three times of normal attack damage. After waking up, he felt a chill in his throat and staggered to the ground.

Luke grabbed the equipment that fell on the ground, stepped on it, and rolled out. He disappeared before he could stand up.

The spectators who were originally talking around had long since fallen silent. Most of them maintained a dull expression, staring at the rogue who had only attacked once and was successfully blocked, and then slowly turned into white light and flew to the resurrection point.

It's the same profession, so is the gap between experts and ordinary players so huge?

The shock is beyond words.

We all know that masters are very powerful, but it is far less shocking than seeing it with your own eyes.

The commander of the Royal Guards roared and issued orders: "Mage, set up the blizzard for me, warlocks, use charm immediately, those who have charge skills, don't save them, and thieves, all stealth, wait for the opportunity."

After a few minutes, not only the Casualties of Lag players who were in a tense state, but even the spectators around them were getting a little impatient.

Could it be that the rogue has already run away secretly?
