Chapter 62
"Flame Brothers Unite!"

The battlefield blazed with red heat as Kenya Naro launched a flaming kick into the chest of an Arcane Demon. The creature exploded midair, scattering ash across the cracked earth.
Kenya's eyes scanned the chaos. Dozens more demons surged from the east, snarling, clawing, relentless.
"Tch… There's no end to them," he muttered, tightening his fists. His Fire Demon Form 2 pulsed like a furnace.
Suddenly, something came crashing down from the sky.
"BACKUP HAS ARRIVED—AND HE LOOKS AMAZING!"
A red-coated figure spun out of control, hit a tree, bounced off a rock, and finally landed face-first in the ground.
Kenya squinted.
"…You've got to be kidding me."
The figure stood up, brushing dirt off dramatically.
"It is I! Reno Naro, the handsome, intelligent, and extremely flammable younger brother of Kenya Naro!"
"…Still alive, huh?"
"Of course I'm alive! It takes more than a few thousand demons and a bottomless pit to take me out!"
"You fell in a pit?"
"That's not important."
Demons approached again. Kenya groaned. "No time to argue."
"I'll take the ugly ones!"
"They're all ugly."
"Exactly!"
The brothers sprinted into battle. Kenya's flames burned in wide arcs while Reno flipped and twisted midair, blasting fire bolts like fireworks.
One demon pounced toward Kenya, but Reno appeared behind it and kicked it across the field.
"Surprise boot to the face!"
"You call that teamwork?"
"I call it flame-synergy."
Two more demons came from the side. They both turned.
"Yours or mine?" Reno asked.
"Race you."
They blasted forward at the same time—Kenya with a Fire Dragon Punch, Reno with a Blaze Wheel Kick. The resulting explosion roasted the demons and sent a gust of hot air across the battlefield.
Then came a larger threat—an Arcane Demon Beast three stories tall, armored and roaring.
Kenya narrowed his eyes. "This one's mine."
"No way! I've got a new move I've been dying to try—"
"You'll mess it up."
"Have a little faith in your little bro!"
Reno charged ahead.
Kenya blinked. "He's gonna mess it up."
The beast swiped at Reno, but he dodged—barely—then threw a small red orb at it.
"Say hello to my Blazing Dumpling Bomb!"
It hit the beast… and bounced off.
Nothing happened.
"Oh… that was supposed to explode."
The beast roared and swung again.
Kenya appeared in front of Reno, deflecting the claw with a fiery shield. "Get behind me, genius."
"I loosened it for you!"
Kenya didn't respond. He jumped, ignited both fists, and shouted, "Fire Demon Burst Barrage!!"
A dozen flame-coated punches struck the beast's head. Reno followed it with a spinning kick that ignited the air around them.
Together, they yelled:
"FLAME BROTHERS COMBO STRIKE!!"
The beast burst into flames, then collapsed into molten dust.
Reno fell back, panting. "Whew. That was awesome."
Kenya looked at him, a rare smile forming. "You didn't mess it up… too bad."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Another wave of demons began to appear on the horizon.
Kenya stretched his arms. "Round two?"
Reno cracked his knuckles. "Winner gets the last sweet bun."
They both dashed forward—brothers born in fire, fighting side by side.
