Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: A FARMER’S LIFE

Ethan sat at the edge of a cliff staring into the the vast expanse of wilderness, his line of sight could be traced looking beyond the wilderness at the horizon wondering just what lie beyond there.

'if only dad would just tell about the outside world instead of just smiling and telling me to wait.' Ethan thought, lost in his fantasy of the world beyond.

"Ethan! why are you always so fast." said his sister as she heavily panted.

She was a five-foot elven girl, with long azure green silklike hair and with a face so adorable it could melt the heart of the devil himself.

"Fast? i walked all the way here, you just don't want to admit you got lost." Smirked Ethan while looking at her embarrassed faced.

"No I wasn't! "She immediately refused which made him start laughing loudly making her even more embarrassed.

" You can't treat me like this am older than you, you have to give me face."

"ooooh! using the age card again but it won't work this time I'm taller than you" said Ethan while standing to his feet.

"Fine.... your dad was looking for you before you left, what did you do this time?" asked Davina as she suspiciously looked at me.

"I don't think its trouble this time so stop worrying and why do you always say your dad, he's your dad too." Answered Ethan as he walked to her.

"No his not, are you stupid or something, we are not even the same species...…. stop your stupid question and let's go." sighed Davina as they started walking towards the farm.

As they walked further leaving the forest to their back, a large field of land was becoming more visible as they approached it.

A man standing in the middle of the field with his hands glowing an ethereal glow, he looked like a divine being as dark clouds could be seen being attracted above the field, the wind hit across his graceful flawless face as his black hair gently swayed left to right.

Ethan looked at him proudly wondering how such a big contrast there was between his black hair and my white one even though he was his father.

'When will I be able to that.' wondered Ethan as he and Davina approached him. His glowing silver eyes turned to us as he gave as a gentle smile then turned to continued conjuring the rain. 'How the hell is this old man this handsome at his age, I have to remember not to bring women when he is home.'

As he finished, he looked towards their direction and ignored Ethan then looked towards Davina and smiled mischievously which caused Davina to shiver, he opened his arm as walked towards them

" Give daddy a hu..."

" Jasmine! Atlas is being disgusting again." interrupted Davina as she immediately ran towards the large wooden cottage at the corner of the field.

"But he just wants a hug." said Ethan's mother as she exited the cottage. She was a beautiful blonde woman with eyes so blue you would think they were sapphires, her voice would cause even angels to weep in tears. Her face was such an art that even the finest sculptors would find it impossible sculpting a tenth of her likeness.

"Nooo, he had that stupid smile he puts when he wants to mess with me." said Davina as she hugged jasmine.

"Okay come help me with the cooking" said jasmine as she dragged her into the cottage. As they left Titus turned to me and started muttering. Ethan sweared he could hear him say he wished he had a daughter.

"So when are you gonna teach me to do what you did?" Ethan asked

"Why do you want to know that when it's so simple, when i was your age i was already flying across continents" bragged his dad as Ethan rolled his eyes ignoring him.

"But i guess you are right, I guess it's about time you started learning energy manipulation techniques"

"Really!" confirmed Ethan excitedly

"of course, you can't live this farmers life forever." he said as he sat down under a tree.

"but first you have to take the harvest to town"
