Chapter 63 - Chase

Soon after, the trio entered the room with the button. Michelle aimed and pulled the right trigger, launching the red hand and pressing the button, which switched power from the upper left cable to the lower right cable.

After the red hand retracted, Michelle pulled the right trigger again, launching it and pressing the button again, which switched it from the lower right cable to the higher right cable. The trio followed the cable and looked at the machine with the red button's case open.

Michelle pressed the button, which lit the cable to the button at the back. "Let's move," she said. As the trio sprinted to the back, Doey pressed the button on the ground, which made the metal on the right drop to the ground.

As the trio went down the ramp, they turned to the right and saw a button on the ground and a closed shutter on the left side. "We need to power that button up," Michelle said before they sprinted forward. As the trio turned to the left, they heard a vent open.

As the trio entered a red room, Michelle looked forward and spotted a lever in a Bunzo Bunny's corpse inside a wheel barrel before approaching it and grabbing it. "Sorry, little buddy," she said before pulling it out of the corpse with a grunt.

Katelynn looked at the ground and spotted a note before grabbing it. The trio heard roaring, which made them turn to the back. "Hide," Doey said. The trio quickly entered the hiding spot before Cat-Bee entered the room.

As Cat-Bee sniffed around the room, Katelynn held the note out. "I found this on the ground..." she whispered. Michelle grabbed the note and looked at it as Doey stretched his head next to her. "It looks like... some kind of propaganda flier..." she said.

Doey growled with his red teeth showing. "I remember that note..." he said, which made Michelle look at him. "That bastard thinks he could scare us if he sent us this..."

Michelle hummed a bit before tearing the note into tiny pieces and throwing it on the ground. "Well, that's my answer to their scare..." she said.

Doey stared at Michelle before laying his head against her shoulder. "I could kiss you right now," he said. Michelle chuckled a bit. "Later, Kevin... right now, we have to focus on getting the hell out of No Man's Land..." she said.

Doey nodded as he lifted his head before stretching it to the opening. As Doey poked his head out a bit, Cat-Bee growled a bit before leaving the room. Doey came out of the hiding spot. "She's gone," he said.

After the duo came out of the hiding spot, they left the room; they walked forward a bit before turning to the right. When the trio turned to the left, they saw an empty slot in the corner next to a door.

Michelle placed the lever in the slot before pulling on it, which opened the door. After the trio entered the room, they went through the gap before going down the steps. Soon after, the trio saw the lever; Michelle grabbed it before pulling it down, which opened the shutter.

When Michelle turned her head to the chair, she saw a blue keycard on it before grabbing it. "Let's move," she said. As the trio left the room, Michelle pressed the button with her foot, which switched the cable to the machine on the right.

As the trio approached the machine, Michelle put the keycard in the machine, which activated the cable to the button above. The trio heard the vent open, which made them turn their heads to the back. "Move!" Michelle shouted.

When the trio quickly went up the ramp, they sprinted forward; Cat-Bee spotted the trio and roared before approaching them. Doey spotted a button and quickly pressed it, which made the red shutter open partially.

The trio quickly slid under the shutter opening before Cat-Bee approached them; she tried reaching for them and roared. After some time, Cat-Bee growled before leaving the big shutter.

Michelle quickly approached the lever and pulled it, which lit the cable up. "That should hopefully be the last of it..." she said. The trio heard a vent open in the distance before it closed. "We should get going," Doey said.

The duo nodded as they approached the shutter; after they left the room, they saw an open door on the left. After the trio went through the open door, it closed behind them.

Michelle looked at the hand scanners before aiming and pulling both triggers, launching both hands at them. As the scanners activated, the trio heard the door behind them open, which made them turn their heads to the back.

Soon after, the trio saw Cat-Bee roaring at them, which made their eyes widen. "Cat-Bee?!" they shouted. Soon after, the scanners finished, and the door before the trio opened. "Run!" Michelle shouted.

The trio sprinted forward, which made Cat-Bee chase them; when they turned right, Katelynn turned her head to the back. "Why can't she just leave us alone?!" she shouted.

Unbeknownst to Michelle, she tripped on a rock, which made her yell before falling to the floor. The toys turned to Michelle with widened eyes. "Misha!" they shouted. As Michelle sat up, Cat-Bee approached her, roaring, which made her look at her with widened eyes.

Before Cat-Bee got too close to Michelle, Kevin appeared behind her and roared before slashing her face, which left a long cut on her face and made her roar in pain before backing away with a bit of blood dripping on the ground.

Kevin stood over Michelle as his body bubbled. "Stay away from my Misha?!" he shouted. Doey and Katelynn looked at the duo. "You two!" he shouted.

Kevin turned his head to the duo. "Go on ahead without us; we'll catch up!" he shouted. Doey stared at Kevin before nodding. "Be careful," he said before looking at Katelynn. "C'mon."

Katelynn nodded before she and Doey ran away; Kevin glared at Cat-Bee as she roared. "C'mon then, pussycat," he said. Cat-Bee charged toward Kevin before raising her right paw; he quickly moved out of the way before she slashed him.

Kevin readied his right fist before punching Cat-Bee in the face, which made her yelp in pain. Kevin continuously punched Cat-Bee, which made her growl; her tail wrapped around his leg before she pulled, which caused him to trip.

Kevin hit the ground on his back with a grunt; when Cat-Bee was on top of him, she opened her mouth. Soon after, the segments on Cat-Bee's jaw split apart, which revealed mandibles.

As Cat-Bee lunged her mouth toward Kevin, he held her neck with his left hand, which caused it to bleed. Kevin grinned at Cat-Bee. "Misha was right about you; everything you do is purely instinct..." he said as he aimed his right pointer finger at Cat-Bee's eye.

Before Cat-Bee could move away, multiple dough arms grabbed her legs, which made her struggle. "While following your instincts is a good thing, you also have to be smart," Kevin continued.

The dough on Kevin's right arm started pulling away, which revealed the orange hand. Kevin remembered Michelle twisting the knob, switching from the red hand to the orange hand before he pulled her inside his body.

Soon after, part of Kevin's body pulled away, revealing Michelle. "Especially if you can come up with ideas like this," he said. Michelle glared at Cat-Bee. "Take this, you son of a bitch?!" she shouted before pulling the right trigger.

The flare hit Cat-Bee in the eye, which made her roar in pain. Kevin quickly moved away from Cat-Bee as she hit the walls; soon after, she glared at the duo as she roared with her mandibles out and her left eye bled. Kevin growled a bit. "Even after all that..." he said, lowly.

Michelle turned her head to the back and saw a chain with a hook hanging from a crane and a vat of molten metal on the ground. "Kevin," she said, which made Kevin look at her. "The chain."

Kevin turned his head to the back and spotted the chain. "I got ya," he said before looking at Michelle. "Ready?" Michelle smiled. "Born ready," she said before she went back inside Kevin's body.

After Kevin made adjustments, he opened his mouth, which revealed Michelle, before forming his head on her shoulder. "Come and get us, scaredy cat!" they shouted before sprinting away.

Cat-Bee roared before charging toward the duo; Michelle went up the steps before turning left. After Michelle turned left again, Cat-Bee was getting closer to them. When Michelle turned left, she launched her right arm toward the chain.

After Michelle grabbed the chain, she swung herself as Cat-Bee jumped toward them. After Michelle let go of the chain, the hook went inside Cat-Bee's mouth, which made her roar in pain.

As Michelle landed on the ground, she turned Cat-Bee as she struggled; soon after, the chain broke, which caused her to fall into the vat. As the duo looked at the vat, Cat-Bee pulled herself, roaring in agony, as her body was engulfed in flames.

Soon after, Cat-Bee let out pained yells before slipping back into the vat. Michelle tried catching her breath and stared at the vat. "It's finally over..." she said, lowly, before standing properly.

Kevin pulled off of Michelle before wrapping his arms around her and laying his head on her shoulder. "It had to be done..." he said, lowly. Michelle turned her head to Kevin before laying it against his with a sigh.

Kevin kissed Michelle's cheek before letting go. "C'mon, the others are probably waiting for us," he said. Michelle nodded before turning her head to the right and seeing a blue hand scanner.

Michelle aimed at the scanner before pulling the left trigger, launching the blue hand, and touching the scanner. After the scanner finished, the door opened, which made the blue hand retract before the duo entered.

Soon after, the duo saw a pod-like elevator. "That should take us to the others," Michelle said; Kevin nodded as the duo got in. When the duo faced the front, the elevator door closed. "You're next, Doctor," Michelle said before it went up.
