Chapter 18 - Smackdown

Deep below, in the insect hive...

It began as a pulse, a single tremor beneath the hive-nest at the innermost part of Bellwether Station.

Thousands of insectoid drones stopped in unison, as if commanded by a silent voice.

Then the Queen moved.

Entombed in a massive cocoon of flesh and blood, her form stirred violently. The shell encasing her cracked and a spined limb burst free, then another, and another one.

The air grew thick with poisonous fog and raw pressure. The bugs in the surroundings began to lower their heads as if worshipping their messiah

Her old form, a bloated mountain of flesh was no longer suited for this war.

So she shed it.

Wet, fleshy Rtearung sounds echoed through the hive chamber as the Queen screamed, her voice was like scraping metal to each other.

Her new body emergd from within the husk. Taller, more sleek. Laced with chitin-blades and armor-plating. Her arms were tentacle like appendiges ending in cruel claws, the other in sword-like talons. Her head elongated, crowned with jagged protrusions. Wings of webbed black chitin slowly unfurled.

Her lower body resembled a spider, reinforced by armored scales that and sharp poisonous spikes.

Mouths opened along her torso some to some filled with tongues while others full of sharp fangs .

She was not just a breeding machine now.

She was a living weapon.

Back on the Deck…

Kael sat in silence, surrounded by Orks that didn't do anything to hide their stares at him. A few tried to imitate his axe swings. One even glued scrap metal to his arm to fake a Killa Klaw.

Kael stared at his reflection in a cracked steel wall.

His eyes, they weren't human anymore.

Both glowed faintly green.

Atleast he didn't feel insane, not fully. But he felt closer to the Orks now than he ever had to humans.

The rhythm of war, the joy of the fight, the voices in the Waaagh.

Kael clenched his fists. He could feel the WAAAGH Energies coiling around him like a storm held back by willpower alone.

Bossboot grinned. "You keep fightin' like dat, Boss they ain't gonna just follow ya Dey gonna worship ya."

Kael looked up, eyes narrowing.

"I'm not a god."

"No," Bossboot said. "you ain' a man no more."

Thier talk was interrupted when Zogsnappa suddenly cocked his shoota. "Oi… you smell dat?"

Kael turned toward the darkened corridor.

"Yeah."

A massive claw slowly emerged from the shadows, scraping across the floor.

From somewhere in the walls and minds of every living thing aboard the station, a terrible voice echoed:

"I am coming for you."

Looking at the atrocious creatures straight from resident evil in the passage, Kael grinned, blood still drying on his lips.

"Pass next question please"

...

The first clash was apocalyptic.

Kael surged forward, roaring, his Killa Klaw lashing out to catch her lunge. Metal shrieked as blood and acid splattered.

Kael blocked the first but then, the second sliced through his shoulder pauldron, digging deep. Kael didn't scream, he grabbed her arm and tore it off her body.

Tentacles lashed out, slamming into Kael's defenses. He blocked another two but four more wrapped around his limbs, crushing with enough force to snap ceramite. Kael gritted his teeth as bones cracked in his forearm.

She pulled him into the air then slammed him against the deck like a ragdoll, over and over.

Kael roared and ignited his Killa Klaw with psychic lighting, severing the nearest tentacle in a flash of sparks as blood sprayed around.

He dove under another whip, rolled, and jammed his axe into her waist, her shriek nearly blew out his eardrums. A spearlike tentacle stabbed into his back, piercing clean through.

Kael spat blood, turned, and headbutted it until it retreated.

But she was too fast. Too many limbs, too much weight. too many strikes.

Kael fought like a demon, clawin, smashing, biting and launching physcic blasts, but for every limb he severed, five more grew back.

Then the Queen impaled him.

A tendril drove through his side, lifting him into the air, another coiled around his throat, choking him, hoisting him like an offering.

The world slowed.

His axe slipped from his fingers.

He saw Zogsnappa, Bossboot and otger orks screaming from far away, also fighting off tentacles.

He couldn't breathe.

The Queen hurled him across the chamber. He smashed into the hive wall, leaving a crater.

Kael lay in a heap.

Breathing shallow.

Bones shattered.

Armor shattered.

The Queen slowly advanced, dragging a sea of tentacles behind her like a living tide.

"You fought well. But you were never born for this."

She raised all her tendrils above him as if preparing to skewer something.

"Die."

'fuck I shouldn't have been reckless, I should just have followed the mission and earned money'

Then they struck and everything went white.

....

Kael stood in a formless space.

He heard Gork and Mork bickering again.

"Told ya he'd break."

"Nah, 'e's a tough un! Jus' needed a proppa boot up 'is backside!"

"Yeh, but dat place we flung 'im in iz dead stompy! Full o' nasty stuff!"

"Dat jus' makes it da best krumpin' ground ever!"

"Zoggin' git dint even get told 'e ain't da only one wot got reborn! Dat zoggin' place is special it pulls in all da shiny gubbinz an' dead 'ard gitz!"

"He'll just krump 'em good if dey get in 'is way den"

But another voice joined them.

Deeper, Heavier and more majestic.

"Child of the Emperor. You were not meant to fade, not here ,not as prey."

Kael saw them all at once.

The ork gods, standing tall enough he's barely an ant for them.

"Kael Draken! You'z got sumfin no uvva git's eva 'ad da humie blood, da burny fire o' dem Primork boyz, an' da proper krumpin' fury o' da Krork! Yer path ain't writ by no zoggin' fate… it's forged by FIGHTIN' an' KONKWEST!"

Mork growled, voice low and jagged like tearing metal. "BUT DERE'S A FINAL TEST."

Gork roared, shaking the dream space. "KILL DA QUEEN. BATHE IN BUG BLOOD. PROVE YER WORTH OR EXPLODE INTO GOO! AHAAHAAHA!"

"Listen up, ya git! Only through BRUTAL TRIALZ will da powa be truly yours! 'Til den, it's all borrowed burn an' borrowed burn always fizzles out like a squig inside an engine!"

'But I already died'

"Bah! Dyin' once or twice ain't no big fing!"

'fuck they can hear my thoughts'

"Ya zoggin' git! Learn ta use dat zappy green brain o' yours!"

....

The chamber exploded in green and golden light.

Kael rose from the rubble.

Not walking.

But floating.

His broken armor reassembled and the cracks filled in by physcic energy brutal, sharp, covered in Waaagh ork glyphs. His flesh and bones regrew his eyes blazing with molten green energy.

" Tis nothing but a scratch"

The Queen shrieked baffled by how he can revive again and fired every tentacle at once.

However this time Kael kael merely raised a hand. Green tendrils of energy emerged countering the queen's fleshy appendiges.

"Your hive ends here

'Ya zoggin' git! Learn ta use dat zappy green brain o' yours!'

'I finally understood'

'leading the orks is not about being the strongest, it's about being one with the Waghhh'

With a moment of clarity kael opened up the ork mind server. His spiritual form transformed into a terrifying black hole absorbing all excess psychic energy.

"OI HELL, WHOSE' ABSORBIN' MY BRAIN JUCE.

around the hall weird boys felt it. Their extra power channeled to the center of the station

Then

ZAAAAKK-KRUMMP-KA-THOOM!

A green beam of light lanced through the hull of the space station like a divine spear, punching through layers of steel, alloys, and plating.

It wasn't heat, nor raw plasma—it was WAAAGH-made.

The beam crackled with barely-contained madness, humming with the rage of a thousand brawls and the psychic fury of screaming Orks. around it bled green lightning, sparking and dancing along the scorched metal it seared. The sound it made wasn't a screech or a blast it didn't just burn, it atomized the entire portion as if some high level necron weapon was used.

The hive fell silent.

The Orks stared at the queen's body with half of it now atomized. Then Zogsnappa raised his gun.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH!"

The roar echoed across the ship.

Kael stood there with flickering light, red and green blood dripping from his claw, his eyes still glowing.

Bossboot stepped forward, still weakened by the brain juce draining experience every wierdboyz felt. "Boss... wot the zog are you?"

Kael looked down at the Queen's corpse.

He smiled and whispered: "your boss."

"DIS. IS. WAAAGH!!!"

"TO DAKKA AND BEYOND!"

"DA WAAAGH LEVELZ… DEY'Z OVA NINE 'UNNID GROTS!"

FER DA BOSS! FER DA WAAAGH!"

[AN: here it is the end of te bug ark, gork and mork also dropped some background of the world and it involves reincarnators and people with cheats... To be krumped😈]
