Chapter 9 - REVELATION OF THE SECRET BETROTHAL

After class had finished for the day, every student went home and some went to their workplace..

Liam stormed into his house, slamming the door behind him. He was furious. His father, Reginald, was sitting in the living room with a stern expression on his face.

"Liam, we need to talk," Reginald mumbled with his voice sounding firm.

Liam scowled. "What is it, Father?" he asked, with his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Reginald sighed. Knowing fully well that Liam was not in a good mood.

"Liam, you know that you're betrothed to Sophia. It's time for you to start taking your responsibilities seriously."

Liam's eyes widened in outrage. "Sophia? You can't be serious. I'm still in school, Father. I'm not ready to get married."

Reginald's expression turned cold. "You'll do as you're told, Liam. You're the future leader of this family, and you'll do what's expected of you."

Liam shook his head. "I won't marry Sophia, Father. I don't love her, and I won't be forced into a marriage that I don't want."

Reginald's face turned red with anger. "You're being foolish, Liam. Sophia is a good match for you. She's from a good family, and she'll make a good wife."

Liam's eyes narrowed. "I don't care about any of that, Father. I care about being happy, and marrying Sophia would make me miserable."

Reginald's expression turned cold. "You're not thinking about what's best for this family, Liam. You're only thinking about yourself."

Liam stood his ground. "I'm thinking about what's best for me, Father. And marrying Sophia is not it."

Reginald's face turned white with rage. "You're making a big mistake, Liam," he said. "You'll regret this."

Liam smiled. "I doubt it," he said before turning and walking away.

As Liam stormed out of the house, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. He had finally stood up to his father, and he had made it clear that he wouldn't be bullied into marrying someone he didn't love.

But as he walked out his way to the left, Liam couldn't shake the feeling that he was in for a world of trouble. His father was not a man to be underestimated, and Liam knew that he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.

Little did Liam know, Sophia was watching him from across the street, a smile spreading across her face. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and she was determined to make sure that Liam married her. She had been monitoring Liams movements even since she knew of Allison being with him.

As Liam walked away, Sophia's smile grew wider. She knew that she had the upper hand, and she was determined to use it to her advantage. She headed to the west side of the street toward the school.

The battle of marriage between Liam and Sophia had only just begun, and it was going to be a love fight to the finish.

Meanwhile, Allison was sitting in her history class, trying to read her notes before going home, sonce she was now living alone, no one was expecting her at home, But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She had been having a great day despite the attack in the library. But now, she felt a sense of unease.

As the evening kept drawing, Allison packed up her things and headed out into the hallway. She was looking forward to seeing Liam, but she was too tired to call him...

But as she turned a corner, Allison saw Sophia standing by her locker, with a smirk on her face. Allison's heart sank. She knew that Sophia was trouble, and she didn't want anything to do with her.

"Hey, Allison," Sophia said, with her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I hear you're quite the hero. Standing up to those girls in the library."

Allison rolled her eyes. "I'm not a hero," she said. "I'm just someone who won't back down from a fight."

Sophia laughed. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots," she said.

Allison smiled sweetly. "You should be," she uttered and started walking away..

But as Allison walked away, Sophia's smile faltered. She was not used to people standing up to her, and she didn't like it one bit.

But Sophia was not one to give up easily. She was determined to make sure that Allison paid for her defiance. And she was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen.

As Allison walked away from Sophia, she suddenly, Allison felt a hand grab her shoulder, spinning her around. Sophia's face was inches from hers, her eyes blazing with anger.

"You think you're so smart, don't you?" Sophia sneered. "But you're just a nobody. A pathetic little girl who thinks she can take on me."

Allison tried to shake off Sophia's grip, but she was too strong. Sophia's friends closed in around them, forming a circle that trapped Allison.

"You're going to pay for what you did," Sophia hissed, her fist flying towards Allison's face.

Allison tried to dodge, but Sophia's punch connected with her jaw, sending her crashing to the floor. The other girls joined in, kicking and punching Allison as she tried to defend herself.

Liam appeared out of nowhere, his eyes blazing with fury as he pulled Sophia off Allison.

"Leave her alone!" he shouted, with his voice echoing through the hallway.

Sophia stood her ground, with her eyes flashing with defiance. "This isn't over," she spat before turning and walking away.

Liam helped Allison to her feet, his face etched with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, with his voice gentle.

Allison nodded, wincing in pain. "Yeah, I'm fine," she said, with her voice shaking.

Liam's eyes narrowed. "We're going to report this to the principal," he said. "Sophia's going to pay for what she did."

Allison nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.

But as they walked to the principal's office, Allison couldn't shake off the feeling that Sophia was far from defeated. She was just getting started, and Allison was in for a world of trouble.

As they walked to the principal's office, Allison couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that Sophia was trouble, and she didn't want anything to do with her.

But Liam was determined to make sure that Sophia paid for what she had done. He was furious, and Allison could see the anger burning in his eyes.

When they arrived at the principal's office, Liam marched right in, with Allison following closely behind. The principal looked up, startled, as Liam slammed his fist on the desk.

"She did it again," Liam said, his voice low and menacing. "Sophia attacked Allison in the hallway. We need to do something about it."

The principal's expression turned serious. "I'll call Sophia in here right now," he said. "And we'll get to the bottom of this."

As they waited for Sophia to arrive, Allison couldn't help but feel a sense of anxiety. She knew that Sophia was not going to go down without a fight.

When Sophia arrived, she was smiling sweetly, as if she had done nothing wrong. But Allison knew better. She knew that Sophia was a master manipulator, and she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.

"So, Sophia," the principal said, his voice firm. "I hear you've been having some problems with Allison. Care to explain what's going on?"

Sophia's smile never wavered. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said, her voice innocent.

Allison rolled her eyes. "Don't play dumb, Sophia," she said. "We all know what you did."

"Did you forget that I was the very one that separated you two," Liam added

Sophia's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "I don't know what you're talking about," she repeated.

The principal sighed. "Sophia, I've received several reports of you bullying Allison. I need to know what's going on."

Sophia's expression turned cold. "I'm not bullying anyone," she said. "Allison is just jealous of me."

Allison's eyes widened in outrage. "Jealous of you?" she repeated. "You're the one who's always causing trouble."

The principal held up his hand. "Okay, that's enough. Sophia, I'm going to have to suspend you for a week. And Allison, I'm going to make sure that you're protected from now on."

Sophia's face turned red with rage. "You can't do that!" she shouted.

The principal's expression turned firm. "I can, and I will. You need to learn to control your temper, Sophia. And you need to learn to respect other people's boundaries."

As Sophia stormed out of the office, Allison felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that Sophia was not going to give up easily, but she was determined to stand up for herself.

But as they left the office, Liam's expression turned serious. "Allison, I need to tell you something," he said. "Something that could change everything."

Allison's heart skipped a beat. "What is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Liam's eyes locked onto hers. "I'm the one who's been betrothed to Sophia," he said. "My father arranged it when I was a kid. But I don't want to marry her. I want to be with you."

Allison's eyes widened in shock. She had never expected this. But as she looked into Liam's eyes, she knew that she felt the same way.

"I.. umm.. wish to be with you too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper

Liam's face lit up with a smile. "Really?" he asked, his voice full of hope.

Allison nodded. "Really," she said.

As they hugged, Allison knew that Liam wasn't expecting that reply, and hearing it for the first time from her would make his love for her go crazy for sometimes

But as they pulled back, Allison saw Sophia watching them from across the hallway. Her eyes were blazing with anger, and Allison knew that she was in for a world of trouble.

"You're going to regret this," Sophia hissed, before turning and walking away.

Allison shivered, feeling a sense of unease. She knew that Sophia was not going to give up easily..

As they walked down the hallway, Liam's arm around her shoulders, Allison felt a sense of hope.
