Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: "A New Beginning Amidst Turmoil"

The morning sun filtered softly through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the master bedroom. Aurora stood by the wardrobe, selecting an outfit for Kai. She held up a crisp white shirt and a tailored navy suit.

"This one," she decided, laying them out on the bed.

Kai, seated nearby, raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Are you planning to dress me now? Should I be flattered or concerned?"

Aurora chuckled, "Just ensuring you look your best."

He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a playful whisper. "In that case, perhaps you'd like to assist me with my bath as well?"

A flush crept up Aurora's cheeks. "Kai!"

He laughed, the sound rich and genuine. "I take back my earlier words about maintaining boundaries. You've stood by me despite everything. I want to make this marriage work."

Aurora met his gaze, sincerity shining in her eyes. "I'd like that too."

Later, they descended to the dining room for breakfast. The atmosphere was lively, with Alaric and Windie already seated.

As they began their meal, a servant approached Alaric with a tablet. "Sir, urgent news regarding the company."

Alaric's eyes scanned the screen, his expression darkening. "It appears your uncle is rallying shareholders to challenge your position, Kai."

Kai's jaw tightened. "He's been eyeing the company for years."

Suddenly, Alaric clutched his chest, his face paling. "I... I don't feel well."

Aurora rushed to his side, checking his pulse. "His blood pressure is elevated."

Without hesitation, she retrieved her acupuncture kit, swiftly inserting needles at specific points known to alleviate hypertension, such as LI11 (Quchi) and ST36 (Zusanli) .

After a few moments, Alaric's breathing steadied, and color returned to his face.

"He'll be fine after some rest," Aurora assured.

Kai turned to the butler. "Please ensure my grandfather is comfortable and monitored closely."

The butler nodded, "Of course, sir."

As the household settled, Kai and Aurora exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them. Together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The atmosphere in Kai's study was tense, the air thick with anticipation. Aurora, Windie, and Elias gathered around the mahogany table, their expressions a mix of concern and determination.

"We need a solid plan," Kai began, his voice steady. "My uncle's maneuvering with the shareholders is a direct threat to ValenTech's future."

Windie nodded, producing a document from her folder. "Grandfather foresaw such possibilities. He signed a legal document stating that if you're unable to lead, your wife would assume control."

Aurora's eyes widened in surprise. "He entrusted me with that responsibility?"

Windie smiled gently. "Grandfather has a keen sense for people's true intentions. He believes in you."

Elias leaned forward. "We should convene a board meeting to address the situation. Present our case, and if necessary, reveal the legal document as our trump card."

Aurora interjected, her voice firm. "I have another strategy. If the board doubts my capabilities, I'll present my academic credentials my master's and doctorate degrees in finance and corporate management. It might sway their opinion."

Kai looked at her, admiration evident in his eyes. "You're full of surprises, Aurora."

She met his gaze, determination shining through. "I won't let your uncle dismantle what your family built. Together, we'll protect ValenTech.
