"That was interesting"
A silver haired beauty wearing a seductive black dress muttered as she watched the image of Ryuta fighting against the minotaur.
"Freya-sama, did you take an interest in the young man?"
Behind her, a huge hulking figure emerged from the shadows, his eyes serious as he stared at the man fighting the minotaur.
"Hm~ I wonder?"
The woman, a Goddess, Freya, looked at the young man, a rookie adventurer by the name of Ryuta.
He's a recently appeared member of the "Hestia Familia", a familia started by Hestia, a rather infamous Goddess in heaven who had recently descended.
She was not infamous in a bad way- in fact, she was "too good", "too naive" and "too lazy" in the eyes of the other God's- in essence- Hestia was- a brat…
Despite Hestia being closely related to Zeus and Hera, Freya saw no need to worry about her, especially after she found out that the brat had taken refuge under Hephaestus.
She really didn't expect much of her…
That was until-
A few hours earlier-
It had been a normal day, one that would have passed like any other but just today, a man happened to catch Freya's eyes.
The man dressed differently, not something all too weird in the dungeon city, Orario, yet- even in this multicultural, God influenced city, the man's clothes were- unusual to say the least.
But, what truly caught her eyes was the mist that surrounded the man-
She did not spot him immediately, in fact, she simply caught a fleeting glance at his figure but-
That was all it took, Freya's eyes saw it- although faintly, she saw the image of a wondrous… soul.
All living creatures have souls, even God's but- their souls were almost indistinguishable. They were all… the same.
But the man's soul, it was a mystery in and of itself-
It was not a pure soul, but the soul had a weird transparency as if it was- yes, like that of a spirit- no, it wasn't like a spirit- it had the breadth of a spirit-
This made Freya focus on the man-
'A mysterious technique… is that a skill? Or is it something else?'
The man walked through the crowd, his actions and appearance should have attracted attention but for some reason-
'No one noticed him'
He was like a shadow, undetectable yet always there.
Her stare intensified, her eyes gleaming with delight as she tried to peer through the mist that surrounded the man and there she saw it-
A soul like none she had seen before-
While others souls had specific colors, this man was unique as his was a mix-
Like a rainbow, his soul had colors of all shades, as if his mind was fragmented but-
'A charade'
She immediately saw the truth, the colors were all veils, masks as some would call it but-
Even a mask would not be imprinted on ones soul.
The soul is the purest form of an individual, everyone has a color, a color that defines their "True" nature. Yet the man was able to create a veil around his- an act that even the God's could not recreate-
A rarity, one that caught her eye- would not escape her gaze…
She wanted to see more but as she tried to peel off the veil that masked the man's soul she felt it-
*GLARE*
A terrifying glare had matched her gaze, she quickly averted her eyes but that split second made her realize-
'It seems someone else has already marked him…'
Yet-
'But that makes me even more interested~'
Freya was not a woman to give up the chase, she was not going to lay down and accept defeat when she found out that someone else got to her target first-
Nay, the fact that someone, a being who could make her shiver, had their eyes on the man had proven one thing-
'He is indeed special'
Without giving up, Freya quickly made her move, unlike other God's she did not abuse her power openly. She moved covertly and took things suddenly and quickly.
Without anyone realizing, Freya had already taken the information about the man-
'Ryuta Takehara… from the east? No… Hephaestus and Hestia… now, now, where did you find him?'
She thought as she returned to her quarters at the top of Babel, staring at crowd below, she smiled before turning around and facing a mirror that reflected the image of Ryuta who had turned into a crimson shadow dashing through the dungeon's upper floors, decimating all monsters he encountered without batting an eye.
"For a level 1 he has so much power- is it his stats that are already at S? No- maybe a racial trait? That couldn't be… did he lie about his level?"
A huge bear-like man tried to analyze the image being played before him.
Although the movements and power behind the actions were frightening, that was only to those at level 1, at most those at level 2 would have a difficult time.
For him? The man reflected in the mirror, no matter how flashy his actions were, did not meet the power to match him yet-
If one considers the source of the man's strength-
"Interesting isn't he? Although there is a possibility of him lying, such a possibility is zero when we consider who his Goddess is"
Freya said with a smile not even trying to elaborate any further, the huge man, upon hearing her words went silent.
The two then watched as Ryuta went down the dungeon, his act of creating items and the final battle with the minotaur-
Back to the present-
'It truly is a waste'
Freya muttered as she watched Ryuta quickly rush back to up the floors of the dungeon-
"I'll see this man for myself"
She said as she stood up and left the room, the huge man did not say anything, simply maintaining his calm expression as he bowed to Freya who had left already left-

On the streets of Orario, Ryuta calmly made his way through the bustling crowd, his steps light and quick. Despite his injuries, he was able to maintain his calm bearing as he shuffled through the throngs of people that were going out of the dungeon and moving through the busy streets.
Like the wind, he seamlessly passed by everyone, none noticing him as he brushed past them.
As he rapidly made his way through the crowd, Ryuta found himself taking a detour-
His senses as a magus had alerted him-
A turning point in his fate was up ahead, Ryuta analyzed the people and businesses on the crowded streets and his gaze landed upon a certain establishment.
His eyes tensed, mystical veins, signs of an activation of magecraft-
'Reinforcement - Pure Eyes'
It was a reinforcement type magecraft, one that allowed Ryuta to emulate a power similar to pure eyes. While he can't emulate mystic eyes, the ability of pure eyes to "see that which normally cannot be seen" was an ability that was easy to copy.
Drawing on his own mystery, Ryuta created this spell to help him see the intangible "string of fate".
He was not adept at "sensing" magecraft, although experience allowed him to sharpen his "perception" in terms of ability he still paled in comparison to many others.
This replication of pure eyes was one of the many techniques he created using his origin and attributes.
Spells that only he could manifest through the use of his origin.
Spells that allow him to do what others did based on talent and blessings which he did not have.
His origin allowed him to do what he should have otherwise been unable to, but at the cost of hard work, pain and suffering.
Much like the age old rule, "equivalent exchange", his abilities always came at a cost and the eyes he had were no different-
A searing pain washed over his eyes, but he did not falter-
How many times had he used this spell? Abused it?
Five minutes was child's play, he had once used this spell for over 24 hours, keeping it up until reinforcements came as he used this spell to carefully lead Nobunaga to safety.
Now, his eyes watched on, tracing the "strings of fate" searching for any that reached him but-
*BANG*
He was unable to see it, as he stood there, unnoticed by anyone but avoided by all. Normally, people should have been made to instinctively avoid him.
Those that saw through him would ignore him-
But-
For some odd reason, someone had bumped into him-
A woman with short light-gray hair and eyes, she stood at a height of five foot four, shorter than Ryuta who was six foot two, or 189 centimeters.
Ryuta was shocked, not because someone had bumped into him but because-
'Her thread…'
His instincts flared as his eyes fell on the woman-
'RUN'
His mind raced and without even saying anything he darted away, his movements quick and sudden as he used reinforcement to reach a level near that he had when facing up against the minotaur.
As he ran, he suddenly felt a pain shoot through his body-
'Poison?'
He thought as he checked but-
'No… that bump… it was-'
Realization struck him, the feeling he had, the mentality of a magus deeply ingrained in his bones flared as he abandoned all his hesitation.
He vanished, like a storm, his actions caused quite a spectacle-
Skirts danced in the air as torrents of blood shot up to the sky, shreiks and celebrations erupted while the girl who had bumped into Ryuta sat there silently-
Her gaze was complex as she stared at the direction Ryuta had disappeared to-
"Syr?"
"Ah! Ryu!"
"Are you alright?"
A woman with short green hair and azure blue eyes and long pointed ears came up to the girl who sat on the ground dazed.
They both wore the same uniform, a green maid outfit underneath a white apron, on their head sat a frilly white headband while their legs were covered with black leggins matched with a pair of brown boots.
The two were obviously coworkers familiar with each other-
"Did that man do something?"
The green haired woman with long ears, an elf, with the name of Ryuu, she stared at the direction where the man had ran off to but-
"No… actually- I was the one who bumped into him… I wanted to apologize with a meal but…"
The light-gray haired woman, Syr, showed a disappointed expression as she let out a sigh.
"I see, well, chasing him won't be worth it, next time, I'll help you"
"Really?!"
"Yes"
"Yay~"
The two women then headed towards one of the most well known pub's in the vicinity, the Hostess of Fertility.
[A/N: Now before you go ballistic, I know people hate Freya, she's a s**t, a b****t, call her whatever but honestly? She's a fun character to play around with. Also, she's one of those God's that actually make the series exciting. Why won't I add her? Also! I know I said this was going to be a lighthearted, easy story but- well, I "accidentally" wrote up an entire backstory and character sheet for the MC… yeah, he's got more secrets than meets the eye, considering he was considered "dangerous" by the old man Zelretch himself… you could probably guess what kind "mysteries" he has- well… at least know that he's going to be VERY complex… especially his magecraft, knowledge and abilities- and he had to be sent to Danmachi (A story heavily inspired by mythologies)- you know what else uses mythology? (≖⩊≖) ]
[A/N: So… I went through the outline, while doing so I realized something- I gave the MC too much power. The pure eyes that see through fate- these were supposed to be limited to fate, to see what is not seen… but as I thought about the things happening in Danmachi… by pure coincidence I just created a monster who will be able to resolve the whole Enyo issue before it even becomes big… as such! I shall move forward with this plotline~ Then, from there, the story shall become a free for all- in other words, the events of Sword Oratoria will be forced to occur without Bell Cranel. How will it proceed? Fuck my life… that's a headache… I wanted to calmly write for fun but now- oh well, at least this Saturday has been quite fruitful~]
