Morning sunlight streamed through the windows as I stood in the doorway of Gamma Alistair Croft's villa—my new home. I couldn't help but stare in awe at the beautiful gardens surrounding the elegant stone house. After living in a tiny apartment for so long, this place felt like stepping into a fairytale.
"You coming or what?" Ethan called from inside, a playful grin on his face.
I shook myself out of my daze and followed him through the spacious entrance hall. "Sorry, I'm just... taking it all in. It's a lot to process."
"Wait till you see what Dad had set up for you," he said, leading me down a hallway I hadn't explored during last night's quick tour.
When he pushed open a set of double doors, I gasped. Before me was a library straight out of my dreams—floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lined with countless volumes, comfortable reading chairs, and a large desk positioned near a bay window overlooking the garden.
"This is..." My voice caught in my throat.
