And it turned out that I was not chosen for the next raid. Sir. Brian, Sir. Henry, Sir. Fern, Alex and Stacy were the ones chosen for it. And honestly, we all knew they didn't stand a chance in a fight. They were going to gather intel so we could find a way to beat whatever was going to be there. Hopefully it would not be a MONARCH or a Named Ort. But there was one issue they didn't seem to know. Be it MONARCHS or even any type of Ort, they could sense souls. That was how it happened in Merth that we were expected by them. Even if they weren't going to engage in battle this was not going to be an easy task.

"Hey Alex. Take care of Stacy for me will you" I met Alex as they were prepping to go for their mission. I would have told Stacy to take care of herself but for some reason I obviously don't know about she doesn't want to speak with me.
"Yeah? Ok. Why don't you try to speak with her. She seems angry with you. Tell me what did you do?" if only I knew that answer myself. "Nothing I can remember. But I guess I'll speak to her" this is so tiring for me.

I saw Stacy after searching with my eyes for a minute plus. And then our gazes met. I don't know if it's the new powers I have but I sensed she wanted to tell me something. But immediately, she looked away. I started walking towards her while she walked away. And then she got on to one of the vehicles. She was clearly walking away from me.
"Hey Stacy. I'm sorry, okay?" I called out to her. She looked at my way a bit before turning her head back. Hey I'm sorry
"I Just wanted to be with you but you were so occupied with the next city" she said to herself. A normal person shouldn't have been able to hear that given how quietly she said it. Emphasis on normal. But given my extraordinary senses I could hear what she was saying and I was going to make her happy before she left.
"Why don't we spend sometime together when you come back? We haven't been together for a while so let's go out for food once you're back" I said in hopes of correcting my mistakes. She still didn't look at me but I hoped she was happy. I thought I heard her say "You finally came to your sense huh" but I'm sure it must've been my imagination.

Was Dark trying to say something? Maybe he's just playing or something. But now the intel team has gone. I needed to reach there too.
So, I began to get ready to leave for Merth. Whatever I was going to do, I needed to do it fast.
"And that's how to play with mana stones" here I was on the vehicle to Merth, not knowing why Mick was telling me on dangerous ways to play with mana stones. Sometimes he just wasn't needed. Not that I was going to tell him that, he was my friend after all.
Speaking of mana stones, I need them for a new katana I'm aiming for.

So yeah, it was just going to be like an Ort in a sword form. Any hit collected from that was likely going to make you soulless.
Sometimes Dark had the most wicked ideas.

Well, we were finally in Merth. And the first task on the list, finding a mana stone with a high concentration of mana. This was going to take time since it was the lower you go the higher the concentration becomes. And high concentrations were harmful to the human body, even mine. I won't get sick from it but it would show on my body and it could become a contagious disease. Mana poisoning. Haven't heard of that before though.
The plan was simple. Leave my physical body at camp and then go deeper with my soul. It would be faster and I will be able to sense it better.
That was the plan until-"you are to guard the perimeter of the city"-I was given a last-minute order from a superior.

Putting Dark aside I went with his idea. First leaving my physical body, then taking energy from my own soul and creating a pseudo soul out of it and then infusing it to my body. It basically was like me though not as strong but he could certainly take down high forms with ease. Well, that's that, time to go search for some mana stones.
I found a high concentrated mana stone perfect for what it was to be used for. Finding it was easier than I thought, and now I had to create a weapon from it.
I was not a blacksmith of any sort but Daark gave me some guidelines. And for creating a weapon this was pretty simple.
I just had to imagine the kind, shape and size of the weapon while infusing with Souls. Ort souls. And it will pretty form out on its own, but I had to be focused. Any side thoughts and it will spoil the process.
And so, it began. I imagined what I wanted. A katana, with the normal shape and the size tending to the side of long range and then the infusion began.
Here I was with my katana. Dark told me to name it, saying the same thing about when I was to name him.
Here I was with Night Seeker. Dark in all it's glory. My new weapon. Now I had complete gear until anymore was needed. But there was one issue. Where would I keep the weapon. Since it had the soul of Orts it would also have the fear inducing aura. Having this in the open will be dangerous.

[SINCE THE KATANA IS BASICALLY A SOUL INFUSED OBJECT, IT CAN HAVE ACCESS TO THE POINT WHICH IS YOU. SO JUST THINK ABOUT PUTTING THE SWORD IN YOU AND IT WILL BE IN YOU. TO BRING IT OUT YOU CAN JUST WILL IT FORTH]
Well, this is useful I guess, so I did what Dark said to do and yeah Night Seeker was in me. I could feel it.
Returning to my body, the guard job was over and I could return to where I was stationed to stay, with Mick of course. Tomorrow I will be going to the next city. I hope Stacy is safe.
