Chapter 2 - The realms Above and the shadow below.

Chapter 2

"In the beginning, there were Nine Realms. Each a kingdom forged by titans, ruled by gods, and feared by mortals. But even the gods tremble before what they cannot understand…"

🌌 The Nine Realms

Long before mortals learned to write, the universe fractured into Nine Realms. Each realm is governed by a divine being of unimaginable power:

Aetherion – Realm of Light, ruled by Solvane the Unburnt, whose flames purify time itself.

Noctheros – Realm of Darkness, ruled by Umbros the Shadow Sovereign, whose silence erases existence.

Zephyros – Realm of Winds, ruled by Aeolos the Unbound, a god who carves the skies with his wrath.

Ignira – Realm of Fire, home of Pyronox the Eternal Flame, the inferno that never dies.

Teravia – Realm of Earth, ruled by Gaerath the Unshaken, who sleeps beneath the continents.

Thalassia – Realm of Oceans, where Neridys the Tide Mother stirs tsunamis with her sighs.

Virellion – Realm of Souls, guarded by Seraphis the Veilkeeper, keeper of the afterlife.

Oblivion – Realm of the Forgotten, ruled by None. No one returns from Oblivion.

Vael'Torak – The Upper Realm, sealed from all—only spoken of in ancient fear.

The balance between these gods is fragile. At the edge of war, entire continents shake when they move. Planets become collateral in their feuds.

And yet… they were not the highest.

🏛️ The Mural and the Forgotten Name

Somewhere, beyond the reach of gods, deep within a crumbling temple, an old sage stares at a forbidden mural.

A young man, barely in his early twenties, is carved into stone—standing calmly while every god kneels before him. His face is weathered off the wall. It was erased by divine decree.

The sage whispers:

> "He was not born a god… but the gods bowed nonetheless. His very breath made the sky fracture… His words silenced thunder…"

> "They erased his name to protect their thrones. But he is not gone. He only sleeps."

⚔️ New Players and False Threats

Throughout the realms, rumors grow. A disturbance in the flow of divine aura. A presence older than the gods. And in that fear, new powers rise…

Kaelion, prodigy of Teravia, whose fists shattered a false mountain deity. Some say he may rise to rival the gods themselves.

Neria the Flameblade, Ignira's most feared commander. She burned an entire army while blindfolded—people whisper she may ascend.

Zirath the Starseer, oracle of the Void Moon. His visions speak of "a shadow that stands above stars."

To the reader, these warriors seem powerful? maybe even worthy challengers.

But the truth?

They are not even close to the being in the mural.

🌠 The Tremble in the Sky

In Aetherion, Solvane halts mid-battle.

In Noctheros, Umbros opens one eye for the first time in a millennium.

In Zephyros, Aeolos drops to one knee—not out of reverence, but from fear.

Something… no, someone, has moved.

Not his body.

Just his gaze.

The heavens crack slightly. No sound. No light.

Just… pressure.

The sage drops his lantern. It extinguishes in mid-air.

> "He's watching."

> "They've disturbed him again…"
