Chapter 3 - chapter 3: "Ashes of Innocence"

The demon's body…

and its severed head…

began to burn —

slowly, on its own.

Its flesh turned to ash…

and the wind carried it away —

as if the world itself rejected its existence.

Zeke sheathed his bloodstained sword.

His face was calm —

like a soldier who had long made peace with loss and death.

Dhruv…

remained silent.

In front of him —

his students —

were now torn and broken corpses.

Just hours ago, they had laughed together…

Now, everything was gone.

Zeke (in a low tone):

"We have to burn these bodies...

or more demons will come."

When Om, Kashyap, and Sive learned what had happened —

Tears fell from their eyes…

A silent, indescribable pain.

Scene — Corpses and Memories

As the bodies began to burn,

the three of them saw flashes of memories:

— Laughing together in class

— Running in the rain

— Taking photos outside the school gates

— That last time they all laughed as one...

(Back to the present)

Now, only memories remained.

Memories carried away with the rising ash.

Om (burning inside with anger):

"What are these monsters?

What was their fault?

Why were they killed…?"

I'll kill them all.

They'll beg me for mercy.

Scene — Evening | Soldier's Diary

The sun had set.

Its red rays —

like a sword soaked in a warrior's blood.

The city…

was now nothing but ash.

And we…

were the wind that still lived within it.

Zeke looked far into the sky.

His voice carried exhaustion.

Zeke (cold, but measured):

"Tomorrow morning…

as soon as the sun rises —

we have to move out from here.
