Everyone turned to look at the breathtaking beauty that stepped into the class. Breathtaking in two ways, one in the sheer perfection of her curves and charm.
Second, because she looked like she wanted to choke someone.
Her long black hair was tied into a high ponytail, making it sway with every step she took. Her deep purple eyes exuded confidence and coldness, and combined with her tall height of 5'10 she looked intimidating. Fujikawa Noa, the student council president who took the throne only in her second year, and the final heroine of the game.
She was also the most difficult to raise affection with, because of the numerous walls she had placed around herself. That's for another time though.
She scanned the room and since no one responded, asked again.
"Where is Yagami Reiji? Is he skipping again?"
Reiji sighed as he stood up, seems like he was in trouble again. He had argued with the president multiple times already, and she had issued many warnings due to his repeating behaviors.
It felt refreshing to see someone that wasn't scared of him though.
"I'm here Prez, no need to shout."
Noa turned to look at him, and though there was no visible change in expression, Reiji didn't miss the twitch in her eyebrows that indicated shock.
"....Come to the office, you know where it is," She replied after a long pause and walked out.
Reiji followed her out, there was still 10 minutes before class started anyway. As he left, he heard a mutter behind him.
"That trash is in trouble again. Good riddance."
Reiji didn't need to turn around to know that it was Riku who said that. It was a little strange, since he hadn't had any conflict with the trio yet aside from the student council president, so he wasn't sure why the protagonist cared so much.
Though, since he really was trashy before, it didn't surprise Reiji too much. The Student Council's office was on the highest floor of the school, so he walked up 2 flights of stairs right behind the president.
As they entered, Noa walked around the large desk at the end of the room and sat on the plush office chair.
"This is your 7th time in this room in the past month, when are you going to stop causing trouble for the other students and the student council? We have better things to do instead of running after you time and time again. Don't you think it's a little pathetic? Do you have any sense of responsibility or accountability for your actions? Punching a student for no reason is more than enough grounds for a long suspension, though I think you'd be a little happy with that, right?"
Reiji just listened as she went on with her speech. Being harshly scolded by a character you really liked....Why was it not that bad? He wasn't a masochist, but this entire situation was so out of the ordinary for him that he couldn't quite concentrate.
"So to punish you, I'm going to make you join two clubs instead of one," She said with a sly smile.
Reiji widened his eyes at the sight, because her smiling was rare even in the game. Though there was nothing kind about her smile, it was more cunning if anything.
As for the two clubs.... there was something about this in the game, but the OG Reiji never attended any of the clubs he joined, which in turn got him into more trouble.
In fact, this conflict between the two was so bad in the game, that Noa was the heroine that Reiji 'stole' from Riku most often. He grew tired of her meddling, but was also excited by her lack of fear. The poor president, she had far more depressing routes than happy ones in the game.
As for why this punishment was chosen, Noa was right. A suspension would've just made OG Reiji happy, whilst making him attend multiple clubs and having him stay at school longer would basically be torture.
"Why are you mute? Are you that shocked by this decision?" Noa chuckled with derision.
Reiji's mouth twitched. 'Why do I want to tease her?'
"No, not really. I was just surprised that you can smile, I didn't think you had the facial muscles for it."
Noa's smile darkened at the response, and she leaned forward onto the desk.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Hm? Was my Japanese not very clear?"
"Watch yourself Yagami, show some respect."
"Woah woah, why are you mad? It was a compliment, you look pretty when you smile!"
Noa froze at Reiji's comment, but there was a slight tremor in her eyes that went unnoticed by both of them.
"Though it's also a little scary, like if a barbie doll suddenly started moving." Reiji added a beat later.
Silence. Absolute silence. Neither party spoke, they just stared at each other.
"Do you want me to make it 3 clubs?" She snapped, going back to her indifferent face with added coldness.
"It's a joke, a joke! My bad. Two clubs is fine. Also, I want to apologize for my actions up until now, I realized just how pathetic I've been lately so I'll try to be a little more quiet. I won't make any more trouble for the Student Council."
Noa just opened and closed her moth repeatedly, like a fish. Even her neutral face couldn't hide her complete shock, especially since this was the second time in the past few minutes that she was so surprised.
"What scheme are you hatching now?" She questioned with narrow eyes.
Reiji just rolled his eyes and replied.
"Do you think I have the energy or the patience to plan something? I just didn't like what I saw in the mirror, plain and simple."
"...So what does that mean exactly? You're going to stop getting into fights?" She asked suspiciously. This was too strange, borderline witchcraft.
"Not just that, I'll try to be a regular student for the most part. No more fights, bullying, or extortion. Though, if someone picks a fight with me, don't expect me not to end it."
"Extortion? You've been extorting students??" Noa glared, ignoring the rest of the declaration.
"Um...No?"
"Ya-ga-mi, tell me clearly," She hissed dangerously.
"N-Nothing, just focus on the fact that I'll be good from now on, ok?"
Reiji darted his his nervously, trying to change the subject.
Noa glared at him for a few more seconds and then leaned back into her chair.
"There's no way you actually expect me to trust you, right?"
"I'm not asking for you to trust me, I'm just letting you know how I'll be from now on and wanted to apologize for the trouble I've caused. That's it."
"If you think I'll rescind my punishment because of this, you're barking up the wrong tree."
"Nah it's fine, I'll join two clubs. I've been thinking of doing something to keep myself busy anyway."
Reiji didn't mind joining two clubs, even though he was normally lazy. The exhausting activities might actually be fun, since in the game the clubs were said to be very fun due to the sheer importance placed in them.
Students could normally only join one club because of the responsibilities that came with it, and to maintain the balance between studying and hobbies.
He was also not planning on playing a lot of games anymore, that would be a waste of this athletic body. Might as well do something active with it.
"...Fine, I don't really believe your claims but not much I can do about it for now. You can go back to class, it'll start in a few minutes."
"Gotcha, thanks Prez. See ya."
Reiji turned around and started to walk off. As he reached the door, Noa's voice stopped him for a second.
"I'll be watching you Yagami Reiji, you better not slip up because I'll be there," she warned.
Reiji turned to look at her.
"Being stalked by a beauty isn't the threat you think it is, Prez," he quipped and promptly walked out, leaving the bewildered Noa behind.

Noa stared at the now closed door of the office after Reiji had left.
"He's definitely different....But I can't let my guard down, who knows what he's thinking."
She reviewed her conversation with Reiji and frowned at the remarks he had made. Though she didn't realize that there was a very faint blush on her face.
"That garbage will definitely try to skip the club meetings later, I should keep an eye on him."

Reiji walked back into his classroom and sat on his desk just as the homeroom teacher walked in. He was a stern looking middle-aged man with combed hair and thick glasses, who placed his book on the table and looked around.
"I can't believe I have to do three years of high school again... I only had one semester left," Reiji sighed.
No matter what, he'd have to do his best. If he wanted to break away from the syndicate eventually, he'd have to prove to his dad that he has potential to do something else (though that would be just the starting point).
With a determined face, he reached into his bag to pull out his book and froze.
'Ah shit, this fucker lost all of his books....And WHYare there porn mags in my backpack???'
