"Wait, they're talking about me now?"
He hadn't even put his Holy Sword away yet. Shirakawa scrolled through the group chat casually. After all, he'd managed to awaken a new class thanks to that group file—it would be a bit rude to keep lurking silently.
Ordinary High School Student: "Sorry, when I first joined and saw you guys discussing Holy Sword stuff, I couldn't resist checking out the group file."
Future Holy Sword Wielder: "Are you interested in becoming a Holy Sword Wielder too?"
Ordinary High School Student: "Yeah, I live in a pretty normal world... just with a slightly higher number of ghosts. Awakening supernatural power seemed like a good idea."
Future Holy Sword Wielder: "No need to rush. Awakening a Holy Sword takes time. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to tag me and ask."
Shirakawa was slightly moved by her friendliness. He had been thinking about how to approach her with questions, but now the opportunity was right in front of him.
After all, this was a completely different world system.
The Holy Sword Awakening Manual might've helped unlock the class, but how to train and efficiently level up this new job—that was still a mystery he needed help with.
And aside from Holy Sword Wielder, Shirakawa suspected there were other jobs in the group—Adventurer, Esper, and maybe more—waiting to be added to his skill panel.
Ordinary High School Student: "Actually, I do have a question..."

Ordinary High School Student: "I think I've already awakened my Holy Sword, but... its appearance is a bit different from the ones shown in the manual. Is that normal?"
Once the message went out, the chat group fell into a stunned silence—then immediately erupted into chaos.
Future Holy Sword Wielder: "???"
Railgun: "This has to be a joke, right? You just joined the group and already awakened it?!"
Gold-Rank Adventurer: "Looks like our new member has some terrifying natural talent..."
Mistress of Butterfly House: "!!"
Mistress of Butterfly House: "There's no way this guy's just a regular... high school student. What the hell does "just slightly more ghosts" even mean?! Is that supposed to be normal??"
Meanwhile, in the Holy Sword Academy's girls' dormitory—
Silver-haired Riselia Ray Crystalia sat on her bed in just her underwear, her ethereal beauty tinged with a bitter gloom.
Time moved at the same pace across dimensions. From the moment that "ordinary high school student" joined the group, only ten minutes had passed.
Yet he had already succeeded... in awakening his Holy Sword.
Her heart churned with a faint frustration. For years she had failed again and again—despite her noble bloodline and relentless training. Deep down, self-doubt was starting to bloom.
"Could it be... that some people really are just born to be geniuses?"
At that moment, the door opened. A blonde twin-tailed girl stepped inside—equally beautiful, wearing the uniform of the Holy Sword Academy. Her slim figure and noble demeanor were unmistakable.
Regina Mercedes.
Riselia's personal maid—and her childhood friend.
Noticing her mistress's unusual expression, Regina rushed to the bed, concern etched across her face. "Milady, did something happen?"
Riselia blinked in a daze.
Her soft lips parted slightly, and she finally squeezed out a single sentence:
"...It's nothing. Just leave me alone for now."
Elsewhere, in Academy City—
Short-haired and clad in her JK school uniform, Misaka Mikoto strode down the street. The short skirt, round-toed brown shoes, and white bubble socks completed her iconic look.
Though her hands were seemingly busy replying to emails...
She was actually reading through the dimensional chat group.
"To awaken the Holy Sword that quickly... Could this person be from Academy City?"
"But none of the data matches..."
"Misaka-oneesama, why are you ignoring me again?!"
"I just came across something... interesting."
Mikoto pocketed her phone and didn't dwell on it further. Her gaze landed on a vending machine up ahead.
With a flick of her wrist, she swung her school bag behind her.
Behind her, a petite girl with brown twin tails and a butterfly ribbon—Shirai Kuroko—watched her closely.
"Ah geez—"
Mikoto suddenly pivoted sharply, and then—
With a shout, she launched a flying kick straight at the vending machine.
The can dropped with a thud.
Unable to bear the sight, Kuroko Shirai groaned, "Onee-sama, honestly... you're wearing such tasteless things under your skirt again!"
Mikoto Misaka retorted, "What are you staring at? These are... functional. Good for moving around, and warm, too..."

Somewhere on the frontier, in a local adventurers' guild—
A girl with waist-length golden hair, clad in light adventurer armor and carrying a longsword, stood still, her eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the screen of the dimensional chat group.
If Shirakawa were here, he would have recognized her instantly.
She was the Sword Maiden—before the goblins.
Just an adventurer for now, not yet tainted by tragedy.
"To think he became a Holy Sword User so quickly… If he were to arrive in our world, he might even be a top-tier adventurer."
As a swordswoman, Lianne Viviette ( She don't have a name so this is her name in this fic) had always dreamed of becoming a Holy Sword User.
But after so many days without awakening, she couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and envy for Shirakawa's natural gift. Still, she didn't take it too personally.
She turned toward the assembled party of adventurers around her.
"Everyone, we'll now be heading out to subjugate the goblins outside the city. Please be prepared—we'll depart shortly!"
Having posted his question in the dimensional chat group, Shirakawa received plenty of helpful answers—even though Riselia had not yet awakened as a Holy Sword User, she still responded with practical knowledge based on their world's common sense.
In return, Shirakawa shared his own experience of awakening as a Holy Sword User—though it had been a panel-based skill acquisition, he still had some insights.
Whether it would help Riselia or not, he couldn't be sure.
Clearing his mind, he turned his thoughts to how to level up the Holy Sword User class. After all, Void Beasts didn't exist in this world, but there was no shortage of ghosts and urban legends.
His gaze drifted toward Mary, who was still trembling.
A sudden idea struck him.
"I wonder... If I slay ordinary ghosts, will it still increase my job level?"
