Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Summoned to fantasy world

Location: Grand Audience Hall of the Valemont Royal Castle.

The towering obsidian doors of the audience hall burst open, splintering the solemn silence.

Royal Advisor Vaelric Thorne stumbled inside, his robes disheveled, chest heaving as if he'd sprinted across the kingdom. His ashen face told the king everything before he even spoke.

Vaelric: "Y-Your M-Majesty…!" (gasping for air) "The… the Book of the Abyss… it's gone!"

—Silence.

Then—

King Aldenor's fist SLAMMED into the armrest of his throne with a CRACK, his knuckles whitening. His brown eyes burned with a fury that made even the armored knights flinch.

King Aldenor: "HOW?! That vault was sealed by a High-Ranked Saint! No mortal—no demon—should've been able to breach it!"

The queen, Seraphina, reached for her husband's arm, her delicate brows furrowed.

Queen Seraphina: "H-Honey… please, calm down—"

King Aldenor: "'CALM DOWN'?!" (roaring) "That book is a cursed relic from the First Great War! If the demons get their claws on it—!"

Princess Elowen scoffed, twirling a strand of her golden hair.

Princess Elowen: "Ugh, it's just a dusty old book. Why's everyone acting like the sky's falling—?"

The king pinched the bridge of his nose, veins throbbing at his temple.

King Aldenor: "Vaelric. Explain it to them. Now."

The advisor swallowed hard, his voice grave.

Vaelric: "Your Highnesses… the Book of the Abyss is no mere text. It was forged in the fires of Hell by the Demon Sorcerers 500 years ago. It can summon the Abyssal Horrors—the same creatures that nearly ended mankind in the First War."

The queen's hand flew to her lips. The

princess's mocking grin shattered.

Queen Seraphina: "...."

Queen Seraphina: "If the demons summon those things again…"

King Aldenor: "Then it won't be war. It'll be extinction."

A beat of silence.

The princess clenched her fists.

Princess Elowen: "W-Well, isn't there anything we can do?!"

Vaelric stepped forward, his voice low but blazing with resolve.

Vaelric: "There is… Your Highness. We must summon the Heroes."

Princess Elowen: "Heroes…?"

Vaelric: "Yes. Otherworlders. Just as our ancestors did… to save this world once more."

The king's voice boomed across the hall, shaking the very air.

King Aldenor: "How the HELL did they steal it?! And how did those ugly demons sneak into my castle?!"

Vaelric stepped forward, his expression grim. He unfurled a bloodstained cloth, revealing a blackened dagger with jagged, rune-carved edges.

Vaelric: "Your Majesty… the body of the High Saint was found near the vault. I believe a demon spy infiltrated the castle, disguised as a human, and…" (pausing) "threatened the High Saint into breaking the seal."

The king's eyes narrowed as he took the dagger, his fingers brushing over the dried blood.

King Aldenor: "Bloody demon pricks and their cowardly tactics…"

He examined the dagger closely. Its blade was twisted, almost alive, with a faint purple miasma lingering around it.

King Aldenor: "Yes… this is definitely a demon's dagger."

His grip tightened around the hilt, knuckles white.

King Aldenor: "Vaelric! Summon everyone to the audience hall—now! We don't have a moment to lose!"

Vaelric: "Y-Yes, Your Majesty!"

The advisor sprinted out of the hall, his robes billowing behind him.The king's laughter echoed through the chamber—dark, unhinged, and full of malice.

King Aldenor: "Demons… you're all going to pay for this. Hahahahahahaha…!"

The queen, Seraphina, watched him with wide eyes, her hands trembling.

Queen Seraphina: (thinking) "That laugh… it's not the laugh of a king. It's the laugh of a man pushed to the edge…"

The princess, Elowen, lounged lazily on her seat, twirling a strand of her golden hair.

Princess Elowen: (sighing) "Ugh, why is everyone making such a fuss? It's just a stupid book and a dead saint. Who cares?"

Later…The audience hall was now packed with the kingdom's most powerful figures:

•Chancellor—an elderly man with sharp, calculating eyes.

•General—a towering warrior with scars across his face.

•Head Mage—an old man with glowing, rune-etched robes.

•Dukes and Marquesses—nobles adorned in lavish attire.

The king stood before them, his presence commanding the room.

King Aldenor: "Listen well, all of you. The Book of the Abyss has been stolen. The High Saint is dead. And a demon spy infiltrated this very castle."

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

King Aldenor: "This is not just a theft. This is a declaration of war. The demons are preparing to summon the Abyssal Horrors once more. If we do not act now…" (pausing) "this kingdom—this world—will fall."

The room fell into heavy silence, the weight of his words sinking.

King Aldenor's command echoed through the hall like thunder:

"Marlin! Summon the Otherworlders—the Heroes—TODAY!"

Head Mage Marlindor, an elderly man with glowing violet eyes, bowed deeply. His ornate robe shimmered with arcane sigils.

"It shall be done, Your Majesty. My mages and I will perform the ritual before nightfall."

With a swirl of his cloak, he vanished—off to gather the kingdom's greatest sorcerers.

The king's piercing gaze swept across the remaining nobles.

King Aldenor: "Duke Farhaven! Chancellor Vesper! General Kael! Marquess Dain!" His fist clenched. "Prepare for WAR. Mobilize every soldier, stockpile every resource, fortify every border. The demons will strike—and we will be READY!"

The leaders knelt in unison, their voices a chorus of steel:

"YES, YOUR MAJESTY!"

Meanwhile – Tokyo, Japan

A Small Dojo.

My name is Ken Hanzashi. Eighteen years old. Third-year high school student.

WHACK! WHACK!

My fists hammered into the wooden training dummy, sweat dripping down my face. The hollow thuds filled the empty dojo—the only sound in my world now.

You're probably wondering why a high schooler spends his evenings beating up a piece of wood.

I stepped back, wiping my brow.

 Simple. I don't have a choice.

Flashback – Ten Years Ago

A boy, barely ten, gasping for breath as he ran laps under the scorching sun. A towering shadow loomed behind him—his father.

Akira Hanzashi: "Your legs are weak. Again."

Ken Hanzashi: "B-But Dad, I—"

Akira Hanzashi: "AGAIN!"

Present Day

Teenagers my age were out laughing with friends, playing games, falling in love. I'd never done any of that.

My childhood?

Five-kilometer runs. Punching bags until my knuckles split. Drills until I collapsed.

My father's words haunted me: "One day, your fists will save you."

Save me from what, old man? Boredom?

The only light in those brutal years?

Anime.

Especially Dragon Ball Z.

Watching Goku train, fight, never back down—it kept me going. Sometimes, I'd even imagine ki blasting from my fists.

 (Pathetic, right?)

A Year Ago – The End of an Era

My father dropped dead of a heart attack during morning training.

No last words.

No dramatic goodbye.

Just… gone.

I inherited everything—the dojo, the house, the legacy.

I sold it all.

What good's an empty dojo to a ghost?

Tokyo was my escape. A tiny apartment. A new school.

But some things don't change.

The students call me "Stoic Ken." They're not wrong. I spoke maybe ten words a day—mostly to teachers.

 (Adults. Predictable.)

The only thing I kept?

Training.

Every night, in this dusty dojo, I pummeled this damn dummy. Not for strength. Not for skill.

Just… so I don't forget him.

°

The air crackled with arcane energy as twenty mages chanted in unison, their voices weaving an ancient spell. The massive magic circle beneath them pulsed with an eerie blue glow, illuminating the stone walls.

Royal Advisor Vaelric watched from the shadows, his fingers tightening around his staff.

"This had better work…"

Tokyo, Japan – school Dojo

One Moment Earlier

Ken Hanzashi's fist slammed into the wooden dummy—CRACK!

Ken: "Tch. Still too slow—"

Suddenly—

A blinding light erupted beneath his feet. A magic circle, swirling with runes he'd only seen in anime, swallowed the floor.

Ken: "What the fu—"

WHOOSH!

The Otherworld – Summoning Chamber

Ken's vision blurred. When it cleared, he was no longer in Tokyo. Five other high school boys stood beside him, all in different uniforms, all just as confused.

The room?

A grand, torch-lit underground chamber, straight out of a fantasy RPG.

Kaito Nakamura – Handsome, confident, the "popular guy."

"Where am I?! What is this place?!"

Ren Hayashi – Glasses-wearing, analytical.

"I-I don't know… Looks like we… teleported to Europe ? Or To the past?" (adjusts glasses)

Daichi Fujimoto – Energetic, airheaded.

"EUROPE?! DUDE, WE'RE IN EUROPE! THAT'S SO COOL!" (pulls out phone, starts snapping pics)

Leo Takahashi – Leader-type, serious.

"Oi, this isn't a joke! That magic circle shit—this isn't normal!"

Takeshi Moriyama – Cold, intimidating.

"Where the hell are we? And why are we here?" (glaring at the mages)

Ken stayed silent, scanning the room.

"Wizards. Magic circles. Either I'm dreaming… or this is an isekai."

Then—Head Mage Marlindor stepped forward, robes billowing. He spoke in a language none of them understood.

Marlin: "#£@&! #@£& #@&£*@!"*

All Six Heroes: "EH?!"

Ken's eyes narrowed.

"Great. No subtitles."

Royal Advisor Vaelric Thorne narrowed his eyes as the six summoned heroes stared blankly at the mages' words.

Vaelric: "Marlin, they don't understand us. Cast the Lingua Arcanum spell."

Head Mage Marlindor nodded, raising his gnarled staff. The gem at its tip pulsed with golden light.

Daichi Fujimoto gasped, pointing like an excited child.

"Guys, look! That old dude's doing magic! ACTUAL MAGIC!"

«Yeah, no shit. But let's hope this isn't a "turn-us-into-frogs" spell.»

Marlin slammed his staff down, releasing a shimmering wave of energy that washed over the heroes.

Marlindor: " Heroes from otherworlders—can you understand me now?"

Daichi: "Y-Yeah! Whoa! That was AWESOME!" (grinning) "Hey, old man, do it again!"

Marlindor: "…Old man?" (twitching)

Takeshi Moriyama stepped forward, his voice icy.

"Enough. Where are we? And why were we brought here?"

Leo Takahashi crossed his arms.

"Yeah, cut the crap. We deserve answers."

Vaelric cleared his throat, clasping his hands.

"I am Vaelric Thorne, Royal Advisor to His Majesty, King Aldenor Valemont. You stand in the Kingdom of Gloria—the mightiest realm on this continent."

Daichi's face fell.

"Wait… so not Europe?"

Ren Hayashi adjusted his glasses.

"Evidently not."

Vaelric continued.

"As for your purpose here… the king himself will explain tomorrow. For now, rest. Guards!"

Armored knights stepped forward, gesturing toward the chamber doors.

Leo scoffed. "Tch! Typical royal runaround."

As the group was escorted out, Ken lingered, his sharp eyes locking onto Vaelric and Marlindor's hushed conversation.

«Isekai'd to a kingdom named Gloria. Summoned as "heroes." This reeks of trouble. Tomorrow's answers better be worth it.»

The six summoned heroes followed the guards through the grand, torch-lit hallway, their eyes wide as they took in the opulent surroundings.

Daichi Fujimoto was practically bouncing with excitement.

"WAAHHH! This castle is HUGE! And so beautiful! I've only seen places like this in anime, but this… this is CHEF'S KISS!"

Leo Takahashi rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah…"

Ren Hayashi adjusted his glasses, his analytical mind racing.

"I can't believe this is real. Another world, magic, castles… it's all straight out of novels and anime."

Takeshi Moriyama cracked his neck, his expression dark.

"Another world or not, I've got questions for that king."

Kaito Nakamura walked with his hands behind his head, smirking.

"That wizard said we're 'heroes.' Sounds like one of those cliché stories—train, form a party, defeat the demon lord, go home. Am I right, guard-san?"

The guard grunted.

"Mm."

Ken Hanzashi stayed at the back, silent but hyper-aware. His sharp eyes scanned every corner, every shadow.

"Stay calm. Stay cautious. This is no anime—this is real."

The Heroes' Room

The guard stopped at a heavy wooden door, pushing it open.

"Here's your room. Rest now. I'll bring breakfast in the morning. If you need anything, call me—I'll be outside."

Daichi patted the guard's shoulder, grinning.

"Sure, sure. I'll let you know."

The guard groaned, clearly unimpressed.

The room was spacious and luxurious, with ornate furniture, plush rugs, and a massive window overlooking the kingdom.

Kaito immediately jumped onto one of the beds.

"Not gonna lie… this is comfortable."

Daichi rushed to the window, his eyes lighting up.

"Guys! Come look at this view! It's AMAZING!"

The others gathered around, their breath catching at the sight.

Kaito: "WOAH! You're right! Look at the stars—there are so many!"

Leo: "Damn… the kingdom itself is massive. And those walls… they're divided the city into sections."

Ren: "Forget the walls! Look at the sky! There are TWO MOONS!"

Ken and Takeshi stayed silent, but even they couldn't hide their awe.

I'll be damned. It's… beautiful. Two moons. Walls dividing the kingdom. And… (his eyes narrowed) is that a dragon flying in the distance?

Later in the room.

summoned heroes sat around a round wooden table, the room bathed in the soft glow of moonlight streaming through the massive window. The air was thick with unspoken questions and nervous energy.

Daichi Fujimoto clapped his hands, breaking the silence.

"Alright, guys! Since we're stuck here together, how about we introduce ourselves? I'll start!".

He stood up dramatically, grinning.

"My name's Fujimoto Daichi, a 1st-year high school student from Sapporo. I'm 16. Nice to meet you all!"

Kaito Nakamura leaned back in his chair, smirking.

"My turn. Nakamura Kaito, 2nd-year from Kyoto. I'm 17. Looks like I'm your senpai, Daichi."

Daichi rubbed the back of his head, chuckling.

"Yeah… I guess so, hehe."

Ren Hayashi adjusted his glasses, his tone calm and measured.

"Hayashi Ren, 2nd-year from Osaka. I'm also 17."

Daichi groaned.

"Great, another senpai…"

Leo Takahashi crossed his arms, his voice steady but slightly aloof.

"Takahashi Leo, 2nd-year from Hiroshima. I'm 17 too. Hope we get along."

Takeshi Moriyama rolled his shoulders, his expression cold.

"Moriyama Takeshi, 2nd-year from Fukuoka. I'm 17."

Meanwhile, Ken Hanzashi stood by the window, his gaze fixed on the stunning view.

I saw a dragon. A freaking dragon. And… was that a rider on its back? That's badass. I still can't believe dragons exist here. What else is out there? Goblins? Orcs? Trolls? And… cat people? I've always wanted to see one. I can't wait to—

Daichi's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Hey, bro! You're still staring at the view? We're introducing ourselves here!"

Ken turned to face them, his stoic demeanor unchanged. His black eyes were half-lidded, giving him an air of quiet intensity.

Ken: "Hanzashi Ken. 3rd-year. 18."

Daichi blinked, then grinned.

"Aheh… nice to meet you, Hanzashi Ken-senpai. I'm Fujimoto Daichi, 16, so that makes me your kohai. Technically, we all are. But you can call me Daichi."

Ken: "Okay."

Leo stared at Ken, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Huh. You don't talk much, Hanzashi-senpai. I'm Takahashi Leo, but you can call me Leo."

Ren adjusted his glasses, his tone polite.

"I'm Hayashi Ren. Hope we get along, Hanzashi-senpai. You can call me Ren."

Kaito leaned back in his chair, smirking.

"Nakamura Kaito. You can call me Kaito."

Ken's gaze shifted to Takeshi, who met his eyes with a cold stare.

Takeshi: "Moriyama Takeshi. You can call me Takeshi, senpai."

Ken nodded, his voice calm but firm.

"Nice to meet you all. You can call me Ken."

The six summoned heroes sat around the room, the moonlight casting a soft glow through the massive window. The air was thick with unspoken questions and nervous energy.

Daichi Fujimoto broke the silence, his voice tinged with excitement.

"So… how did you all end up here? For me, I was just playing video games, and then—poof—a magic circle appeared beneath me. Next thing I knew, I was standing next to you all."

Ren Hayashi adjusted his glasses, his tone calm but thoughtful.

"Same here. I was studying when it happened. One moment, I was at my desk, and the next… I was here."

Leo Takahashi crossed his arms, his expression skeptical.

"Sounds like we all got dragged here the same way. Magic circle, woosh, and now we're stuck in another world."

Takeshi Moriyama leaned back, his voice cold and direct.

"The real question is… how do we get back? Or can we go back?"

Takeshi's right. How do we get back? Or… can we? Guess we'll find out tomorrow when we meet the king.

Kaito Nakamura yawned loudly, stretching his arms.

"I'm too tired to think about this now. We'll figure it out tomorrow. Good night, everyone."

Daichi chuckled, pulling the blanket over himself.

"Good night, Kaito-senpai. Guess I'll pass out too."

One by one, the heroes drifted off to sleep, the room falling into a heavy silence.

In the morning.

The sunlight streamed through the window, hitting Ken's face. He woke up, stretching his arms with a quiet exhale.

The sun's up. Time to see what this kingdom looks like in daylight.

He stood and walked to the massive window, pushing the curtains aside.

"My God."

The kingdom in daylight was even more breathtaking. The city sprawled below, bustling with people in medieval garb—merchants setting up stalls, children darting through alleys, knights patrolling on horseback. Soldiers trained in a distant courtyard—swords clashing, arrows whistling, spears thrusting—but what truly caught Ken's eye was the magic. A mage hurled a fireball into a dummy, exploding it into cinders. Another conjured a water blast, sending a trainee flying. A third chanted, summoning a barrier of light.

Ken's stoic expression didn't change, but inside?

I'm losing my damn mind

Magic. Actual magic. Can I… use it? Imagine firing energy balls like Goku. Or enhancing my fists with lightning.

A trainee got launched into a wall by a wind spell, and Ken's lips almost twitched.

Ken: (smirked) This world might be fun.

The Others Wake Up.

One by one, the others stirred.

Daichi yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Whoa… morning already? Man, that bed was way too comfortable."

Kaito stretched, cracking his neck.

"Alright, heroes. Time to meet the king and figure out why we're here."

Leo scowled at the sunlight.

"Tch. Hope he's got coffee in this world."

Ren adjusted his glasses, already analyzing.

"Given the technological level, it's unlikely. But perhaps an herbal substitute exists."

Takeshi stood, arms crossed.

"Enough chatter. Let's get answers."

Ken remained silent, but his gaze lingered on the training grounds.

Magic… I need to learn it.
