In a certain ominous, yet gaudy pagoda in the mercantile city of Latnos. 2 armored figures could be seen having a shouting match while grabbing each other's collars.
"NO, I SHOULD GO. YOU OVER DECORATED BRUTE!" The old man sporting a plain looking armor made of a black metal said.
"HA, HA. THAT'S FUNNY COMING FROM YOU. JUST LOOK AT THIS PLACE!" The figure sporting a fancy armor said while pointing at a bejeweled statue made of solid gold.
"HOW COULD WE EVER HOPE TO SHOW HIS EMINENCES MAJESTIC FIGURE TO THE MASSES IF WE DON'T DO AT LEAST THIS MUCH?!"
"THIS IS WHY YOUR SO POOR! YOU SPEND ALL YOUR EARNINGS ON THIS RIDICULOUSLY GAUDY CRAP, ALL WHILE SPOUTING OFF ABOUT THE LORDS GRACE TO THE POINT PEOPLE MISTAKES US FOR SOME KIND OF CRAZY CULT!"
"THAT IS, NOT TRUE AT ALL! RIGHT GUYS?" The plain looking old man yelled, while gesturing his followers to back him up.
However, not a single one spoke up in his defense, as what the fancy looking guy said is something they had all been trying and failing at communicating with their superior for years.
"SEE! EVEN YOUR SUBORDINATES AGREE! YOU CAN'T KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT FOR THE LIFE OF YOU. THAT IS WHY YOUR NOT SUITED TO TRAVEL INCOGNITO, TO GREET THE LORD HALFWAY! WHAT WOULD WE DO IF THE ENEMIES FOUND HIM BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T KEEP YOUR PREACHING TO YOURSELF!" The fancy man said as the plain guy finally started backing down.
Just then a messenger came running in carrying an urgent letter to the plain looking old man.
"Well, it's settled then. I'll head out immediately while you hold down the fort." The fancy armored guy said as he walked off to prepare his escort.
All the while, a certain black armored old man was glaring at his back with jealousy.
