Chapter 39 - CHAPTER 39:The Return of Lunarya

Langshen stepped forward, her footsteps weightless as if she were gliding through the mist.

"You are a god," she said firmly, her eyes glowing with celestial light. "More powerful than any of us… even me."

Fang shook her head, stunned. "No… I'm just an ordinary girl. I'm from Earth. I don't understand what you're saying…"

Langshen chuckled softly, her laughter echoing like the wind through ancient trees. "You haven't changed, Lunarya."

Fang's breath caught. "Lunarya…?" she repeated, the name foreign yet strangely familiar. "Who… who is that?"

Langshen's expression softened. "It's you," she said with a gentle smile. "You are Lunarya—the Goddess of Wolves. The one born with the power to stop time and shift the fate of worlds."

Fang staggered backward, her heart racing. "No… no, that's not possible. My name is Fang. I've lived my whole life as a human—on Earth! I'm not from the Wolf Clan, I'm not a goddess!"

Langshen tilted her head and narrowed her eyes. "Time is running out. The darkness grows bolder with every heartbeat you remain unaware."

She paused, then added with purpose, "When you were trapped in that battlefield dream—surrounded by enemies—you saw a man approaching you with a sword, didn't you?"

Fang's eyes widened in disbelief. "Yes… how do you know that?"

Langshen reached out and gently took her hand.

"Because that memory belongs to you."

With a swift motion, Langshen cast a spell—light surged from her fingertips and flowed into Fang. It pulsed through her body like a current of lightning.

Fang cried out and clutched her head, trembling.

"Don't be afraid," Langshen said. "This power belongs to you. I'm only returning it to its rightful owner."

Visions crashed through Fang's mind like waves—fragments of lives she didn't remember, voices she had never heard, and faces that felt achingly familiar. She saw a girl standing beneath the stars, a man offering her his hand, a battlefield, a crown, a wolf howling beneath the moon. Everything blurred, then slowly faded.

Breathing heavily, Fang sank to her knees. She looked up at Langshen with tearful eyes.

"Who… were they?" she whispered. "And why did you say you were returning this to its owner? What does it all mean?!"

Langshen's expression turned grave.

"Listen closely, Lunarya. You are the only one who can destroy the Shadowland and defeat Lucian. The world's survival depends on you."

Fang blinked, overwhelmed. "Lucian? Who… who is Lucian?"

Langshen's voice lowered, and the mist around them darkened slightly.

"Lucian is the son of Kaelvar—the ruthless king of the Shadowland Clan. A man born of darkness and shaped by ambition. He commands shadows, and his presence is always cloaked in smoke and fear."

Langshen's tone grew heavier.

"Kaelvar once sought immortality. His royal advisor told him of a divine stone—one that could make him eternal and change the course of the world. But that stone was no ordinary artifact. It was the heart of the Goddess of Wolves—your heart, Lunarya."

Fang gasped. Her hand moved to her chest instinctively.

Langshen nodded. "Lured by the promise of eternal life, Kaelvar devised a plan. He changed his appearance and disguised his evil. When Lunarya—your past self—renounced her title and traveled the world in peace, she encountered him."

Her voice softened, tinged with sorrow.

"She fell in love at first sight… blind to the truth. Even gods have hearts, Lunarya. And yours led you astray."
