Chapter 5 - Chapter five: His Heart

Days have passed and Jason didn't see Chan. Not even his face. His mind was a mess. He wasn't thinking straight anymore. He skipped meals just because he didn't see his beloved demigod. It was like his whole world stopped.

Jason leaned back in his office chair staring at the clock on the wall constantly. He tapped his fingers on the perfectly furnished table. His mind was not at peace. He kept wondering if Chan wasn't going to come to work anymore because of what happened the other night. Jason could not stop thinking about Chan; his flawless skin, beautiful face, stature of a demigod. It was just everything, his smile even made Jason's heart melt.

Jason stood from the chair towards the glass walls reflecting the city. He paced around for a while. Just then, the door opened revealing a familiar stature; Chan.

Jason smiled for a while before maintaining his composure. Jason literally was happy but decided to keep his emotions in check.

Jason walked towards Chan at the door

Jason:

Oh! You must be the new secretary. I'm the CEO of Tanawit Real Estate.

Chan stood in shock. The person that had comforted him the other day was Jason!

Chan:

Wait! Aren't you the one who was in the elevator with me the other day?

Jason body stiffened. He never wanted Chan to know he was his boss. This is fucked up, that was what went through Jason's mind.

Jason:

Yes. By the way, how are you feeling? Didn't know someone as beautiful as you was scared of the dark.

Chan who was smiling, changed his expression at Jason's statement.

He was unable to make eye contact with Jason. He was embarrassed.

Jason on noticing Chan's embarrassed face, smiled slightly. Jason went back to his chair to sit. Chan walked over to his desk.

Chan:

Sir, can I know what my job will be? I want to start working right away.

He maintained eye contact with Jason, smiling with his eyes and mouth.

Jason:

Meet Pie to send you my schedule. Then you can start work right away.

Chan:

Okay, Mr. Jason!

Jason pointed to a desk and a chair in a corner of his office.

Jason:

That's your desk.

Normally, Chan is meant to sit in another office. But because Jason wants him close to him, he shifted the office to his own office. Classic, huh?

Chan went towards the chair and the desk. He arranged everything how it's supposed to be and settled down.

As Chan was working, Jason kept on stealing glances. Chan who was working was oblivious of it.

The golden hue of the sunset reflected into Jason's office. It was getting late. Hours of worked had passed. Chan looked at the clock; It was already 6pm. Chan went towards Jason's desk.

His hands were pressed tightly behind his back.

Chan:

Mr. Jason, I'm done with all the work and it's past my time to go.

Jason maintained his cold demeanor.

Jason:

Of course! Remember, don't come late. We have a meeting tomorrow.

Chan nodded

Chan:

Yes, sir!

Chan walked back to his desk and he took his bag, ready to go. As he reached the door, Jason called him back.

Chan:

Yes?

Jason rubbed his neck before asking Chan

Jason:

How are you getting home?

Chan:

A cab, sir!

Jason hesitated before asking him again

Jason:

Would you like a ride home?

Chan smiled faintly

Chan:

It's fine!

Jason:

Let me take you.

Chan agreed knowing if he continued to reject, he would only lose.

Jason got up from his chair and they both went to the parking lot where Jason's car was parked.

Jason stopped at the entrance of Chan's house. The house was massive and wide. It had a fountain that stood out at night. Latest models of cars were parked at front. The house gave a palace vibe.

Jason and Chan got out of the car.

Jason:

This is your house?

Chan:

Yes.

Jason gaze was fixed on the house.

Chan:

Well..... I have to go.

Jason:

Okay!

Chan left for the house. Jason watched Chan leave as he got into his house before he left for his own house. On the way, Jason kept wondering why somebody living in that kind of house would work as a secretary. Something was not right but Jason kept thinking about it.

Jason parked his car in the parking lot. He went inside his house. When he got inside, he saw two wine glasses on the table. He wondered, who else was in the house with Fai. Jason thought he was seeing things. So he brushed it off. He went directly into his room.

Jason stepped out of the bathroom; his hair wet and damp, water on his body. He looked absolutely like a god. Jason walked over to his wardrobe and took a pair or short and shirt. He wore it and sat on the bed. He took his phone to see messages from Chan.

Chan:

Sir, did you get home safely? I forgot to thank you for the ride. Thanks so much.

Chan:

Tomorrow at 8am, we have a meeting with some investors. Good night sir.

Jason smiled when he saw the message. He couldn't stop smiling. Jason, realizing his hair was still wet, went to take a towel to dry his hair.

As he was drying his hair, he heard soft moans from the other side of the room which was Fai room. Curiosity took charge of Jason. He wondered why and what was making Fai moan. He went to Fai's room. When Jason opened the door, what he saw really shocked him. He saw Fai on the bed on top of a guy he had never seen. The blanket was strapped over their body revealing only the chest. And that guy was Wine.

Jason squinted his eyes.

Jason:

What the fuck is going on here?

Fai got up from Wine's body. His lips tightened knowing he was in big trouble.

Jason walked towards the bed.

Jason:

Fai! I asked a question. What is going on here?

Jason narrowed his eyes

Jason looked at Wine's direction

Jason:

And who is this? A boyfriend? A toyboy?

There was toxic silence.

Jason:

Put on your clothes and meet me at the dining, now.

With that Jason stormed out of the room, slamming the door hard enough to crack the walls.

Fai, on the other side, knew he was in deep trouble. He put on his clothes, so did Wine. And that they went out of the room together.
