Aiden
I'm doing my homework, and it's almost sunset outside. Suddenly there's a knock on my door and my mom's voice echoes: "Aiden! Milo and Thalia are downstairs waiting for you!" "I'm coming now!" I called back and closed my laptop. Why are they here? I got up and walked quickly down the stairs, and in the living room Milo and Thalia were sitting on the couch, family with my mom. "There you are, dude!" Milo said and playfully hit me on the shoulder. "Why are you here?" I asked, looking between the two of them.
"We're here to take you to the new club by Central Park" Thalia replied, her green eyes sparkling with excitement. "I don't know, people..." Milo interrupted me abruptly. "No, Aiden! You're coming with us, period!" I looked at my mother, and she nodded in agreement. "Go, honey! Have fun, but don't drink too much!"
I rolled my eyes and gave in, knowing it would be easier to go along with them. "Fine" I muttered, grabbing my jacket and following them out the door. The club was packed, the bass of the music vibrating through my chest as we made our way inside. Milo led us to the bar, ordering shots for everyone. I hesitated, remembering my mother's warning, but Thalia nudged me encouragingly.
The first shot burned its way down my throat, and I coughed as the liquid fire settled in my stomach. Milo laughed and clapped me on the back, handing me another glass. "Come on, Aiden! Don't be such a lightweight!" Thalia giggled, her eyes already glazed over from the alcohol. I downed the second shot, trying to keep up with them, feeling the warmth spread through my veins.
As the alcohol took effect, I felt a sudden surge of confidence coursing through my veins. The world around me seemed to slow down and everything became clearer, sharper. I could hear every beat of the music, feel the vibrations resonating within me. My inhibitions loosened and I allowed myself to relax, to enjoy the moment. Milo handed me another shot, which I readily accepted.
The shot went down smoothly this time, and I felt a rush of adrenaline course through me. Milo grinned at me, clearly pleased with my progress. "That's more like it!" he shouted over the music, leaning in close so I could hear him. Thalia swayed to the rhythm, her eyes half-closed as she moved sensually to the beat. Milo grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the dance floor. "Come on, let's show these people how it's done!"
Milo led me through the crowd, his hand still gripping mine tightly. Thalia followed closely behind, her presence warming my back. The dance floor was a writhing mass of bodies, moving in sync with the pulsing beat of the music. Milo found a spot among the dancers and turned to face me, grinning widely. "Now, let's see what you've got" he challenged, raising an eyebrow.
The music was loud, but I could still hear Milo's challenge clear as day. I felt a smirk tugging at the corners of my mouth as I began to move, letting the rhythm guide me. The alcohol in my system made my limbs loose and fluid, and I found myself matching Milo's moves effortlessly. He grinned at me, his eyes gleaming with approval. "Look at you, finally getting comfortable" he teased, moving closer to match my steps.
I laughed at his comment and suddenly my phone rang in my pocket. "I'll be right back!" I said to Milo and Thalia. I moved away from the dance floor to a quieter place. I picked up and Selena's voice startled me slightly. "Aiden where are you? I've called you several times and you haven't answered!" "I must not have heard," I replied, sobbing from the alcohol. "Are you drunk?" he asked in his dangerous voice. "So what if? Are you going to forbid me from that too, Mrs. Valkari?" I said without realizing it.
The line went silent for a moment before I heard Selena growl, "Who's there with you?" I glanced back at Milo and Thalia dancing together, lost in their own world. "Just friends" I replied casually. "Friends? Who?" Selena demanded, her voice laced with jealousy and suspicion. "Milo and Thalia. They brought me here to have fun." Another pause, then Selena spoke again, her voice low and dangerous. "Have fun?"
"Enough Selena! We're just dancing and drinking!" I snapped. Selena growled again and was even angrier. "Aiden! You've been drinking! Where are you?" she asked, and my body stiffened with fear. "You can't control me Selena! I'm not some thing!" I shouted, feeling brave from the alcohol. There was silence on the other end of the line. "Selena? Are you still on the line?"
The line went dead. I stared at my phone in disbelief, my heart pounding in my chest. What the hell had I just done? I tried to call her back, but it immediately went to voicemail. Shit. I turned back to Milo and Thalia, who were still lost in their own world on the dance floor. I tapped Milo on the shoulder and he turned to me, grinning wildly. "Hey, are you okay?" he called over the music. "I… yeah" I lied, forcing a forced smile.
"I need to go home" I shouted in Milo's ear. He frowned, his brow furrowing. "Everything alright?" "No, I'm not feeling well." Thalia appeared beside us, concern etched on her features. "Do you want us to come with you?" "No, stay and enjoy yourselves. I'll call you tomorrow." I hugged them both quickly and made my way out of the club, the cool night air hitting my skin like a slap.
I got home and immediately went upstairs to my room. I was dizzy from the alcohol and collapsed on the bed. On the way here I called Selena a few times, but only her voicemail would go through and that worried me, knowing that she's a psychopath and a beast. She's capable of anything.
