Chapter 1 - New Beginnings

Hi, my name's Rei, short for Reigetsu meaning Cold Moon, yes go on judge my name, to me it's a cool name though . I chose it cause it evokes an image of a clear, cold or serene moon which is often associated with solitude or quiet beauty. Yeah if you look at me you'll see that I'm very very very beautiful, yep it's true, I do not care what you'll say.

So let's get to the reason for creating this log, today I am going to be starting the most trending thing in the world right now - EonSphere, when i say it's the most trending thing in the earth right now I mean it, Almost every body on earth has a Nexus gear, well everyone that could afford it when it first came out already has one and has long since been playing, I mean it literally costs over $5,000 for the basic gear tho, what? That's very high damn. Lol I know and I'm going to tell you why in a bit. I'll first tell you what a Nexus Gear is, so the game EonSphere is a full dive MMORPG I'm sure you know what that is, you do know right? ok for the purpose of the unfortunately uncultured, a full dive MMORPG is a type of virtual reality game where people are fully immersed in that digital world, using advanced technology that interfaces directly with their brain or nervous system, do you get now?.

So the Nexus gear is a full-dive neural interface headset that links your brain to the game, providing a fully immersive virtual reality experience. So now why is it so god damn expensive? Simple because you can easily get rich from playing, remember I said it was the most trending thing on earth, one reason for that is it's potential to make you live a fairly lavish life or a luxurious life in real life, and companies, government and big families do invest in it. The basic gear is $5,000 then there's the intermediate which is $10,000 and the Ultra which is like $20,000. For the basic the features I got included, standard sensory immersion (sight, touch, sound) just the basic, a 1080p visual resolution, 120hz refresh rate, basic haptic feedback, single user profile, 12 hour battery life, wired connection to gaming rig, manual calibration for neural sync, access to all fifteen realm with standard latency (50ms), half of what I said I do not know what they mean, I'm not a tell girl. I don't not really know the features for the other two though, as I wasn't focused on getting them, poor broke me, in the future I probably will to enhance game play, and who knows by them I'll probably be rolling in a few million dollars.

So yeah that's it, today will be my first time logging in to Eonsphere after exactly a year and two months of it's release, yep a year and two months, I really had to struggle to get the money, it's really hard out there. I'm so late to the game, monsterous players would already be roaming around the game by now, I heard it's really hard to level up, and the level is capped at 100. And I think the highest level for now is level 55, my friend David got his two months ago and he's still a level 7 noob.

Anyways let's put on this costly gear, now I'll wrestle my $5000 Nexus gear on my head don't look at me, I'm shy. And yes I will always state it's price cause it pains me, oh the pain of letting go of such an amount of money. I powered it on and I felt a buzz flow through my body, please do not ask me what the buzz was, I bearly finished highschool, so i wouldn't know about science stuff, I do suspect this headset was scanning my whole body though. The matte black headset stayed firm on my head, and then I layed down on my bed ready and prepared to enter EonSphere for the very first time.

The manual neural link kicked in sending another zap this time to my brain and I could feel my self falling, in a state of confusion, I mean I feel like I'm falling but opening my eyes to nothing but a white room I see my self floating, I really can't understand this weird and funny feeling, I can't imagine how logging in on an intermediate or ultra Nexus gear would feel like. I could as well feel my heart beating fast, my eyes feeling like they'll pop out of its socket and a very fast headache that was there and gone in a flash, i could also feel my body adjusting, this was an entirely new experience for me aside the pain, the rest of the adjustment wasn't so bad. Bam that falling feeling suddenly stopped though I was still in the same white room, I tried to bring my hands in front of my face and i failed at first not feeling anything, when i did try again i felt my body obey me, my hands moved, and i was also able to move my legs too.

I looked at my self and I discovered I was putting on only a white short and a white sports bra, looking forward I see a large holographic display that came out of nowhere telling me to enter my name, which I did obviously I chose REI with the kanji for Reigetsu added to it, next I was prompted to add my age, which I did, September 16, xxxx, you won't get to see my year of birth, it's even rude this system is asking for my age too. Then came the terms and conditions, lord this particular one was long, I had to scroll down 37 pages of which I didn't read, do you read terms and conditions??? So don't judge me. Remember I said i feel like the Nexus gear scanned my body, I think it actually did cause when the holographic display cleared something like a mirror with its own display came up and I could see my whole body, and it was exactly how I was IRL.
