“Shall we toss her out, my lady?” Syd asked Apollonia, using that title to conceal her identity and keep them safe. He didn’t think that the little girl posed much of a threat.
“Put me down! Let me go, you old man!” Tanya, the child, kicked and struggled in Syd’s grasp, but to no avail.
Syd furrowed his brow when she called him an old man.
“You villain!”
“Is that really something a thief should be saying?”
“Do you think I’ll just sit here and let you get away with this? I have all of Lyshan in the palm of my hand! I’ll get my revenge on you someday!”
“What a ridiculous child,” Syd muttered as Tanya continued to curse at him, thinking she was the leader of some band of villains.
“I’ll be right behind you after tossing her out far away. You can go ahead, my lady,” Syd said, gesturing towards the path behind them.
However, Apollonia remained still, her gaze fixed on Tanya.
“My Lady?” Syd prompted.
