Chapter 12 - Lucy's Dilemma 2

Lucy wailed, she felt completely helpless. Throughout her years she had loved Jay, but he was getting closer to someone else.

Reah was getting agitated, she had more important things to do than to comfort this criminal.

"Instead of wailing like an idiot why don't you call down and think of a plan.

Make Carly look wrong in Jays eyes only then can you slowly get to him."

Reah used her fingers to tap on Lucy's head.

Lucy wiped her tears and sat silently.

Suddenly an idea hit her.

Lucy came down stairs and into Grandma Susans room, she knew Carly was going to be there.

" Sorry, for barging in." Carly lifted her head and averted her gaze.

"Thankyou for convincing Jay to help me. You have being very kind. If you can forgive me maybe we could be friends."

Carly stared at Lucy's teary eyes suspiciously and nodded.. Lucy left silently.

Finally Grandma Susan opened her eyes, but when she did something was wrong.

"Jay, Jay!!." Carly ran to Jays room.

"Something is wrong with grandmother."

Jay ran downstairs, while Reah sat unperturbed.

Jay turned to her and asked if she did not care about her grand mother's life.

"I have said this many years ago, that letting grandma die was the key to giving her peace.

She will always fall ill no matter what medication."

Jay could not believe his ears, he was supposed to be the adopted son, but why was she acting like a devil.

Jay ran to Grandma Susans room.

"Well, what can I say?. I am the only one who truly cares about my grand mother. After all I am her only child.

That is why I did her a favor, by poisoning her oxygen mask.

Farewell then."

Reah spoke to herself feeling proud.

Lucy ran towards Grandma Susan's room, this was the best time to show her good qualities.

"I will call an ambulance!." Lucy called and the ambulance arrived in no time.

Grandma Susan held on to Carly , she could hardly breathe.

In the hospital, while they waited for the doctor. Reah slowly poisoned there thoughts.

" This is all Carlys fault."

Everyone stared at her. " Did the doctor not give you grandma's medication?, but you were to busy flirting with my brother to take care of her.

Jay played with his fingers, there was a bit of truth in what Reah said. Jay had taken Carly out, and there was no one trust worthy enough to care for her. Reah was right.

" I am sorry to interrupt." The doctor announced.

"Your grandmother was poisoned, let's hope she survives. She is currently unconscious."

Jay could feel his anger spilling over, he was aware that Reah was evil. But he had no evidence against her. Reah had gone to far this time.

"From henceforth, Grandma would be in my room." And no one but Carly is allowed in there because she is my wife.

"Really, are you still going to trust her with grandma again?."

Melody who had being silent all this time, walked up to Reah and whispered.

"I think you have spoken enough, if you keep on talking. I will twist your arm in front of everyone."

Reah held her arm and kept quiet.

Everything was going well, according to Reahs plan.

There was something she wanted in her grand mother's room. It belonged to her grandfather.

It was a weapon used to tame spirits and ghosts.

Once she gets to it. Melody would have no power over her anymore..

It would be the exact opposite.

"You can go and see her now, she is fully awake."

The doctor announced with a smile.

"You can take her home later."

As they say quietly around Grandma Susan, the lights flickered.

Carly thought Melody wanted to tell her something, and so she left the ward.

"Melody are you there?." Carly called out.

Her voice echoed through the silent halls.

The yellow walls and white lights gave way to an endless passage.

Turning her head to the sound of the footsteps, Carly knew in her heart that Melody did not send for her and she was in danger.

Carly ran, but she ran in circles.

"Who are you, and what do you want?."

Carly held her head, her hands trembling with fear. She felt something hit her head and she fainted.

"Now I will get rid of you like I got rid of Melody.

I will never watch my brother live happily. I will watch him break down and hand over the company to me on a platter of gold."

Reah held her belly and laughed.

"Time to take you to the tunnel with the others."

Reah carried Carly on her shoulder. Meanwhile Jay noticed that Carly had being gone for too long.

His worry grew slowly.

"Where is Carly?." Jay blurted out.

Jay realized that Reah was also gone. His worry turned into fear.

What if Reah did something to her.

Lucy saw that Jay was worried, she tried to comfort him by placing her hand on his.

But Jay pushed her hand away.

"You, you are Reahs accomplice in everything. I am sure she told you what she planned to do with my wife right."

Lucy was taken aback by the accusation, she did not expect it at all.

"No, I am innocent believe me."

Jay refused to let go of his thought, he was determined to make sure Reah was caught.

"You my dear are going to jail."

Lucy pleaded, but her pleas fell and bounced back to her.

"Grandma, please explain to him. I am innocent please."

Lucy looked at everyone sitted around Grandma's bed, no one believed her. No one gave her a chance.

Reah had really done it this time.

Jay took Lucy to the station.

And made an announcement on social media.

"This woman here, may look beautiful and innocent, but her heart is made of stone."

Reah paused as she heard Jays voice, the television in the hospital showed Lucy in a cell looking terrified.

Reahs heart skipped a beat. Were they really going to kill the only one she cared about?.
