Marine Headquarters, Fleet Admiral's Office

At this moment, nearly all of the Marine's top-tier combat power had gathered inside the office.

Fleet Admiral Sengoku, Hero of the Marines Garp, former Admiral Zephyr, and the current three Admirals were all present.

Sitting in the main seat, Sengoku swept his gaze over the high-ranking Marines in the room and slowly spoke.

"That great pirate Genrou encountered the Germa 66 army in the North Blue."

"The two sides clashed. The result was Germa 66's defeat. Their leader, Vinsmoke Judge, was injured and rendered unconscious, and Judge's daughter, Vinsmoke Reiju, went missing."

"Vice Admiral Tsuru, who was in charge of capturing Genrou, received intel and found both Genrou and Reiju—who had been captured and was serving temporarily as his navigator—near the battle's location."

"However, that cunning Genrou managed to escape. He took advantage of Gion being alone, defeated her, and took her hostage."

"Afterward, he used Gion as leverage to threaten Tsuru, destroyed her warship, and escaped."

"Because of this, I've already ordered a full-scale search for that man across the North Blue."

"But it's already been half a month, and it's as if that man has completely vanished from the North Blue."

"Our forces can't find a single trace of him."

Sengoku paused briefly.

The Marines in the conference room immediately began murmuring among themselves.

Among them, the ones with the darkest expressions were Garp and Zephyr.

They had been in the same generation as Tsuru. Upon learning that her younger sister, Gion, had been taken by a pirate, they naturally felt deeply unsettled.

Sengoku was no different. He also shared a deep friendship with Tsuru and was equally pained by the news.

"What a terrifying guy. Even Tsuru couldn't capture him."

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, where exactly did that man come from? Why did the World Government put a bounty on him to begin with?"

"And they started with a whopping 500 million Berries."

Admiral Kizaru crossed his arms and curiously looked at Sengoku seated ahead.

Hearing that, Sengoku fell silent.

Only after a long while did he begin to speak again.

"As for that… I only learned about it later from the Gorosei."

"This matter is far too shocking to be made public."

At these words, even Kizaru straightened his posture. Everyone else became serious, eagerly awaiting Sengoku's explanation.

"Genrou, that great pirate, used to be an elite operative of CP9, having completed countless dangerous missions."

"He was someone who far surpassed even another elite CP9 agent—Rob Lucci."

"For that reason, the World Government intended to recruit Genrou into CP0."

"And they did."

"However, on the very first day he became a CP0 agent, while escorting a Celestial Dragon on a voyage…"

"That man suddenly turned on everyone, slaughtering everyone on the ship except the slaves."

"Even the Celestial Dragon was no exception."

"It was because of that incident that the World Government issued a bounty on him."

Sengoku said solemnly.

"He killed a Celestial Dragon?"

"No wonder they had to send Tsuru to apprehend him."

"But for his strength to reach the point of capturing Gion…"

"Sengoku, are there seriously no leads on him right now?"

Garp asked, arms crossed and brows furrowed.

"In truth, there might be one."

"I received an unconfirmed report from an undercover agent… It's said that the man might have found a way to reach the East Blue."

"Garp, the East Blue is your homeland. I called you here today precisely to ask you to head there."

"If you really find that man, with your strength, you'll be able to capture Genrou and rescue Gion."

"Also, considering how his strength was enough to defeat Germa 66 and abduct Gion…"

"I've already adjusted his bounty."

As Sengoku spoke, he pulled out a wanted poster.

At the center of the bounty poster was a handsome young man with messy black hair.

Below the picture was a string of large digits.

"800 million Berries, huh… There shouldn't be any pirates in the East Blue with a bounty this high."

"I am a bit curious why he betrayed CP0, but what matters now is capturing him as soon as possible."

"Sengoku, I'll head to the East Blue immediately."

"If there's any news, contact me through the Den Den Mushi."

Garp stood from his seat, turned, and walked toward the conference room's door.

—Meanwhile—

...

East Blue, Shells Town

A ship pulled by a giant sea snail slowly docked, drawing the curious gazes of the nearby townspeople.

Inside the ship's cabin—

"Mr. Genrou, we've arrived at the agreed destination. Would you like to disembark now?"

A mature woman in a light pink dress, with the number "6" marked on her thighs, approached the man known as Genrou.

She was none other than Vinsmoke Reiju, the eldest daughter of Germa 66.

"Thanks for the effort, Reiju. Now that our agreement is fulfilled, you're free to leave whenever you want."

Genrou sheathed the long blade he had been toying with—Kinpira—and turned around to give Reiju a faint smile.
