Bell noticed a patch of unfamiliar flowers nearby, their sweet fragrance tempting him. His instincts told him they were edible.
"As a Butterfree, drinking nectar is natural..."
He cautiously approached the blossoms and began sipping their nectar. Suddenly—
Buzzzz!
A black-and-yellow Beedrill shot toward him, stingers gleaming.
"A Beedrill!" Bell recoiled as the aggressive Pokémon lunged.
"Tch. Low-level but vicious!"

Seeing its stats, Bell realized he didn't need to flee.

With a wing flap, he released Stun Spore. The charging Beedrill couldn't dodge—yellow powder coated its body as paralysis set in. Bell followed with Psychic, slamming it to the ground.
"I should leave. That cry probably alerted its swarm."
After a quick meal, he flew off—unaware the fainted Beedrill would later wake to its arriving colony.
The Hidden Colony
Bell soared through the skies, still searching for his kind.
"The flower scent and wind currents point to a Butterfree habitat... Where is it?"
Just then, another Butterfree glided into view.
"Hey! Where's our colony?"
"A valley ahead—that's our home," the stranger replied.
Bell's antennae twitched. A hidden basin!
Reaching the mountain peak, he gasped. Below lay a paradise: endless flowers, crystal springs, and swarms of Bug- and Grass-types. At the center stood a massive tree with Butterfree resting in its branches.
"Our colony chose well..."
As he descended, a Butterfree with vibrant wings approached.
"A new survivor?"
"I evolved recently and followed my instincts here," Bell answered.
"You're the first of this season's brood to return. This calls for celebration!"
Cheers erupted from the colony:
"Welcome!"
"We've grown stronger!"
Then a commanding Butterfree with battle-worn wings appeared.
