The cheers echoed across Skyblade Academy's golden arena. Banners waved. Students screamed the name of the victor. But Jin Taek stood silently, blood dripping from his lip, his sword broken in half.
"Jin Taek of Class F..."A voice rang out from above, cold and sharp."You are hereby expelled from Skyblade Academy. By the orders of the Council, you are sentenced to exile — into the Abyss."
Gasps filled the arena. Even his classmates stepped back in fear, like he was some kind of monster.
"But I didn't—!" Jin shouted, voice raw. "I didn't poison anyone! I didn't attack the Elder!"
A figure walked toward him — Seo Ryun, the prodigy of the Azure Flame Clan. Jin's best friend... and the one who had framed him.
"You were always beneath us," Seo Ryun said, his smirk hidden behind a mask of pity. "No talent. No family. No power. Just a bug that needed to be crushed."
Jin's heart burned — with confusion, with betrayal… with something deeper.
The guards grabbed him.
"Wait—! Please! At least let me speak to the Headmaster—!"
They didn't.
He was dragged, bloodied, broken, toward the black gate at the edge of the academy — the Abyss Gate. A forbidden pit sealed beneath the school for centuries. No one had ever returned from it.
They chained his hands, opened the gate, and pushed him in.
Jin Taek fell.
Down.
Down.
Into eternal darkness.
The silence below was heavier than death.
Jin's body crashed onto cold stone. Bones cracked. Blood flowed. He couldn't move.
"Am I… dying?"
But then—DING!A soft chime echoed in his mind.

"Welcome, Host.""You have been acknowledged by the Abyss.""All limits shall be broken. All power shall be yours."
Jin's fingers twitched.
"What… is this…?"
