Chapter 5 - Chapter Five:The Eclipse Heir

POV: Kael Arven Lunaris (1st person)

---

> "There are two sides to every moon.

The one that shines...

And the one that bleeds."

— The Eclipse Heir's Journal, Lost Page I

---

[Scene: Throne Hall, Lunaris Prime – Dawn]

The moons hadn't set yet.

They hovered in place — frozen in duality.

An omen.

Beside me, Elara stood with fire in her eyes, her presence already rippling through the castle like a long-forgotten melody. The palace guards didn't know whether to kneel or stare.

Seris, of course, noticed.

"You brought the prophecy back to life," she hissed. "Do you even understand what you've done?"

"Yes," I said. "We woke the heir."

Her lips curled. "There is no heir. You ended your bloodline the moment you defied the Council."

I looked at Elara.

"No," I whispered. "I saved it."

---

[Scene Shift: The Hidden Tower – The Vault of Secrets]

When I was exiled, I locked away the most forbidden part of my past — the chamber only royal blood could open. It took me years to forget where it was.

But the moment Elara touched my hand… it came back.

We climbed to the top of the oldest tower in the kingdom, behind the fallen sundial.

The air was thin. Time itself pulsed around the door.

"I don't know what's behind this anymore," I said.

"Then let's rediscover it," Elara replied.

She pressed the ring to the lock.

The door hissed open.

And inside…

We found him.

---

[Scene: The Stasis Crystal – The Child in Moonlight]

A boy.

No more than five years old.

Suspended in a glowing crystal coffin, moonlight circling his body like a protective charm.

Elara gasped, her knees buckling.

"My gods… he has your eyes," she breathed.

"And your mouth," I said, voice cracking.

Tears slid down her cheeks. "But I… I didn't…"

"You did," I whispered. "We both did. In secret. Just before the Binding. He was hidden… before the Council came."

I walked forward, brushing the crystal with my fingers. The boy stirred — his eyelashes fluttered.

A glyph burned to life beneath his feet.

A name.

> "Auren."

---

[Scene: The Reveal]

Elara knelt, pressing both hands against the crystal. "My son…"

The moment she said it, the ring on her finger flared.

The coffin cracked — light poured out — and the child awoke, not with fear…

But with recognition.

"Mother," he said sleepily.

Elara broke.

We held him between us, moonlight wrapping around the three of us in a perfect spiral.

A family, reborn.

But the moment he touched the floor, the castle began to quake.

---

[Scene: Seris's Interruption – Royal Alarms]

Seris burst into the chamber, flanked by guards.

"What have you done?!" she shrieked.

The walls began to pulse. Glyphs awoke. Horns blared from the towers.

I pulled Auren behind me. Elara stood beside me like a queen in firelight.

"The Eclipse Heir has returned," I said coldly. "You can't stop it."

Seris' face turned stone pale. "He wasn't supposed to survive. His power—"

"Is ours," Elara said.

---

[Scene: The Power Awakens – Auren's First Echo]

Auren blinked at Seris — then raised his tiny hand.

The floor cracked beneath her feet. The air split.

A ripple burst from his chest — sending every guard flying, shattering every ward around the room.

Elara caught him. "It's okay. You're safe."

He nestled against her.

But I looked at the ruins and saw what it meant:

The Eclipse Heir wasn't just a prophecy.

He was a weapon.

---

[Scene: The Temple of Lunar Flame – That Night]

We met with the last three loyal Lunar Seers. They knelt before Auren.

"It is true," whispered the eldest. "He is the one foretold. The heir of darkness and starlight."

"What does the prophecy say now?" Elara asked.

The seer turned pages in the ancient scroll.

> "When the moon's secret seed returns to soil,

And the queen remembers love,

The kingdom shall burn…

Before it blooms again."

I stared into the moonlight.

Seris would come for him.

Earthbound forces might too.

The Eclipse Heir was the end of old empires.

And the beginning of a war we were destined to fight again.

---

[Scene: Final Moment – The Family Under Twin Moons]

We stood at the palace balcony, Auren between us.

He looked up at the moons. "Will they fall?"

I smiled softly. "Only if we stop loving each other."

He tilted his head. "Then they'll never fall."

And behind him, Elara's hand found mine again.

I knew right then—

This wasn't a reunion.

It was a resurrection.

And this time, we wouldn't die in silence.
