I still don't understand what just happened exactly but I do know that I'm alive and now this system thing is active. There's even a little menu looking icon before me, something I have never dealt with before.
It would be better if I made a run for my apartment— at least that would be the best idea until I figure out how this system works. What kind of person gets a damn system that works around luck?!?!
Saito begins to run for his apartment as distant screaming can be heard, people were clearly in need of help but he wasn't a hero.
I've never had any interest in heroes or even the thought of being one, just I don't know if I can leave someone hanging if it's possible for me to help. I'm not a bad person or anything, so it's only natural that I'd help.

I didn't even hesitate to accept the quest since I'll need to figure this system out one way or another. I don't have any powers or crazy physical strength but I'm going to do my best to help this man.
It didn't take Saito long to reach the man who was trapped under some rubble from the building that exploded. His legs were caught underneath and it looked like some more pieces of the building were going to fall soon.
Grunt. He struggles as he starts to lift up the rubble off of the man.

His grip starts to slip as he notices the notification pop up in the right side of his view. "Please help me!" The man shouts as he panics.
Damn it, the notification caught me off guard and I can feel my hands starting to slip. "I'm not going to leave you here, just hang on." Saito reassures him.
A dice goes flying past him as he slowly starts to life the rubble off of the man.

The man quickly crawls out from underneath the rubble, tears streaming down his face as he realizes he survived this. "I'd get away from here, it's definitely not safe." Saito warns him as he drops the rubble.

I can check that out after I'm done getting away from here now that I've saved this guy from the impending danger. It's definitely got me wondering what's going on with the destruction of this building, but it's not my job to find out.
"Thank you for saving me! I'll remember this!" The man shouts as he begins to make his way towards a safer location.
At least I did a good deed before running back for my apartment... This day has definitely been something. I never expected a system to awaken within me like this of all days.
A luck System could be a good thing or it could have no effect on my life whatsoever, don't we all have a bit of luck in life? Both good and bad luck exists so what's the point of having such a thing?

Eventually he makes it back to his apartment in one piece as everything is dealt with in the distance. A system awakening within someone is considered to be an extremely rare event in a person's life.
Most systems were taken care of after a long, cruel process that was done by the hero organizations, Well the ones funded by the government that is. Systems were considered to be too much of a burden on both the user and society itself.
It was fueling things in an unhealthy way and could even lead to bad practices.

I've definitely got to figure out how these stats work and what kind of skills exist within this system. I'm still baffled by the fact that it's real but I can still see the little menu icon in the right hand side of my vision.

More stats will be added as you level up and unlock more skills, these chances will also go up over time as well! Please continue to get stronger.
I'm sure you thought you'd see "Health, Stamina, Etc." kinds of stats but that doesn't apply with your system. Everything you have is based on luck, the higher you progress the system, more you can control.

These stats are definitely not the greatest so I hope I can get some usefulness out of the skills tomorrow. I've played a lot of games in the past and chance is definitely a big factor for certain features.
Gamble could help me financially if I get that up while the others might help me more during certain situations.
It'll definitely be a lot of trial and error as I try to figure out this system. Having control of my own luck will definitely be a weird change of pace after awhile. Maybe my life will be able to turn around.
