Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Grace

I woke up to the soft knocking on the door, which I thought the mystery man who drove me crazy the night before would answer whoever it was since he was the one that booked the room.

I reluctantly got up from the bed, as sleep was still heavy in my eyes as I walked over to the door, till I realised I was completely unclad just I was about to twist the door knob. I quickly ran to the bathroom in search of a robe.

"Who is it? I'm coming." I replied loudly to yet another knock on the door, which was already making me irritated as I thought it was too early in the morning for one to be bothered like this.

I decided to wash my face as the person on the other side of the door had given up with his continuous knocking on the door. Walking back to the door, I finally took in the scene of the room, noticing that I was the only one in it and some wad of cash under a note on the bed stand with the mystery man that shared the bed with me, no where to be seen.

"Good morning ma'am, sorry to disturb you, but I had strict orders to deliver your breakfast before breakfast time was over, and I've been standing here for over half an hour." A mid twenties smallish looking man greeted me as I turned the door knob open, holding a cart of covered plates.

"Instructed by who?" My brow furrowed in confusion.

"Uhmm, the mister. He left about three hours ago and paid extra so that you could check out when you were ready. Checkout is usually by twelve noon." He replied, a cheeky smile now plastered on his face.

I made a mental note to check the time and the note I saw on the bed stand once this funny looking man left as I moved from the doorway for him to come in and arrange the food on the table behind the door.

"Rough night, huh? Looks like a lot of fun happened here. No wonder he was happier than usual this morning." I could see the smirk on his face from the corner of my eyes.

"I don't remember asking for your opinion. If you're finished, you can leave," I retorted, using my body a shield to block the bedstand from his view before his eyes wandered there.

He made to say something, but from a glance at my face, he changed his mind and immediately left the room, scared that his job was on the line after his unwarranted comment.

I immediately bolted the door and walked over to the bed stand, reached for the note first, which read, 'your payment has been wired to you, this is just extra for your skills. Have a great life.'

Now I understand when Mel said he didn't do one girl twice. He wanted to avoid building up feelings because if I was missing his touch and his presence this soon, what would happen if we met for the second time?

From first glance, I calculated the money to be about ten thousand dollars but I quickly stashed it neatly in my purse as my eyes wandered to the clock and I read the time to be eleven-forty five am, I needed to leave there as soon as possible, mainly because I needed to update Mel on everything and also the fact that she had given several missed calls.

Brian

The shrill ringing of the landline jolted me from my thoughts. I had no clue how long I had been in that state, but I knew I wanted this issue resolved in no time.

"Brian Wallace," I spoke to the end of the phone.

"Yes, I have the perfect one for you. I think you're going to like her."

"You're sure she's not like the others? I don't want a greedy bitch."

"No, she's not. I'll send over her file. We have enough leverage on her if she tries to do anything stupid, trust me."

"I don't trust anyone, Coral. You of all people should know that." I emphasised.

"But I've never failed you, have I?"

"Not yet, I'll be expecting her in my office on Monday." I hung up the phone and continued ruffling through the papers on my desk, trying to distract myself from my thoughts, which was clearly not working.

'Please, Daddy, I want all of you in me. Fuck me daddy'

Her soft high pitched voice filled my head. As much as I pushed the events of the night before out of my head, they seemed more than adamant to stay.

This was the first time I was thinking about a slut I fucked, the first time i couldn't get her out of my head, the second time I had this feeling but it couldn't be. What was so special about her?

"Mr Wallace..... Mr Wallace..... Sir," the annoying pestering of my assistant voice snapped me out from yet another thought. But this time, I was thinking about her, not the devil i called my father.

"What do you want?" I gritted my teeth in annoyance

"I'm sorry, sir, but Mr Wallace is here to see you."

"What do you mean? I'm Mr Wall...." and it hit me before I could finish my sentence. He was talking about my dad, and, like he was waiting for a cue, he walked in almost immediately.

"Father," I greeted with my jaws clenched, my mind racing as to what this unexpected meeting was about. "You can go." I dismissed my assistant as he found it difficult to read the room and get out of my office.

"Yes, sir." He quickly scurried out, realising that he had overstayed.

"To what do I owe the pleasure, Dad?"

"I just came to ask you about the progress of what we discussed earlier and to tell you, you have a competition." He smirked like had meticulously planned my downfall.

"What do you mean competition?" I asked, my brows furrowed in confusion.

"I mean, Lance has joined the race." His face now beaming with the brightest smile I had seen on him, and in turn, all the blood in my face was drained.
