The rain had finally stopped.
Lira walked down the dim alley behind the hospital, her black hoodie soaked and clinging to her skin. Her mind was racing — not from fear, but from the calm after the storm she had just ignited.
The man was still unconscious inside. His blood on her glove. His phone in her bag.
She hadn't meant to stab him that deep... or maybe she had.
> "You said I'd never escape you,"
she whispered to herself.
"But now I'm the one watching."
Suddenly, her phone buzzed. A message from an unknown number.
> "You shouldn't have done that, Lira."
"The oath is not just yours."
Her breath caught.
How did they know? Who else was watching?
She looked around — a man in a dark coat stood at the alley's edge. Watching. Waiting.
Was he real? Or just a ghost from her past?
She clutched the silver ring hanging from her neck. The same ring they buried with her mother. The same ring he promised to return — before vanishing seven years ago.
Seven years ago...
The fire. The lie. The betrayal.
And now, Lira was ready to burn it all back.
