What's left of the village was a mess of ashes and debris.
Nero dug up the burnt corpses of his once known friends, now barely recognizable. Each one, he checked for vital signs, but each person there was nothing. Fred the fisher? deceased, Fiona the mail woman; the one who'd greet him every morning before handing him his daily newspaper, also passed away. There was no one left. What about the boy? The boy!
Nero ran outside the village into the forest, running past different warning signs for dangerous animals. Where he found the boy sobbing inside a dark cave.
He Enhanced his sword with flames to use them like a torch, his eyes snapped wide open as he not only heard the quiet s9obs of the boy but also the dark outline of what might be a bear. The boy could not keep his excitement contained, and stood up and towards our hero, the sudden movement woke the bear, and it slashed at the boy, slicing him in half.
Nero could only watch in horror as the innocent boy he knew was parted in front of him. Tightening his blade and stepping forward, he killed the bear the same way it killed the boy.
He lifted up the boy and carried his halves back to the village, and took his time to properly bury every corpse found. He left his cloak with the boy in his grave. He prayed for them before he kept going. He had to move on, this world doesn't wait for no one. He picked up the bear and skinned it, turning it's fur into a new cloak to protect him from the cold.
Now newly armed with two more swords, a fur cloak and a silver ring; he stepped outside the village one more time. Looking back, seeing the tall mountains of MT. Azeroth and MT. Azirgan in the background, he caught glimpse of another island, floating in the sky, coated by a thick storm. But that shouldn't bother him now. He had to leave. He packed his last belongings from the burnt down inn headed north-east to his next destination, Idrithyia.
