Chapter 10 - Big Sister Becomes Little Sister

Tang San still hadn't returned from the soul beast forest. The days passed, and the atmosphere within Dormitory No. 7 had begun to shift.

With Tang San gone, Xiao Wu had taken full command of the dormitory, walking with proud steps and wearing her new confidence like a crown. During a training session three days ago, she had stunned everyone by releasing a brilliant golden soul ring — a 100-year soul ring condensing into her dainty form like divine sunlight.

That moment had shocked even the teachers. After absorbing the soul ring, her level jumped to 12.

> "From today onward," she had said with folded arms and a smirk, "I'm the real boss of Nuoding Academy."

The Rise of Big Sis Wu

Xiao Wu's charm and fierce reputation grew rapidly. When some skeptical senior students questioned how she'd defeated Tang San, they challenged her one after another.

A rank 12 beast-type spirit user? Defeated.

A self-proclaimed sword prodigy from Class 3? Smashed into a tree.

Even Wang Sheng tried his luck again… and lost within ten seconds.

"I said I'm the big sister! Any complaints?" she declared, placing her hands on her hips and staring them down.

One by one, everyone bowed their heads.

Well… everyone except me.

It was after lunch when Xiao Wu finally walked up to me, her eyes shimmering with mischief.

"Lin Feng~" she said with a singsong voice. "You've been too quiet lately."

I looked up from my sun-drenched seat near the training ground fence. "Enjoying the show."

"Hmm? You think I can't beat you?"

She leaned down, eyes sharp as knives.

"You think just because you sit there all mysterious, you're better than me?"

I shrugged. "I've already beaten fate, Wu'er. Why would I fear a bunny?"

That hit a nerve.

"Then let's fight!"

Cheers erupted around us as students gathered to see Boss Wu take on the ever-quiet, ever-smirking Lin Feng.

The Duel Begins

No soul rings. No spirit skills. Just raw body movement and talent.

We stood across from each other on the training field.

She bent slightly forward, hands open in front — classic close-range combat stance. Legs coiled like springs.

I kept my hands relaxed at my sides, eyes half-lidded.

3… 2… 1…

BOOM!

She burst forward — like a streak of brown lightning.

Her foot came whipping up toward my chin in a rising arc — a classic upward bunny-kick.

I ducked.

At the same time, I swept my leg under her supporting foot.

She spun in the air mid-fall, twisted like a corkscrew, and landed on one hand.

CRACK!

Her heel sliced through the air as she flipped toward me again — I leaned back, letting her heel skim past my nose.

"Fast," I muttered.

Rapid Exchange

We exchanged twenty blows in under ten seconds.

Elbows.

Palms.

Sweeps.

Feints.

Every strike she threw had bite. Every dodge I made left her chasing shadows. We were evenly matched — and the students could barely keep up.

She launched into a triple roundhouse combo — right, left, then spin-kick midair.

I caught the third kick with one arm and shoved her back with my palm. She tumbled, slid, and sprang back to her feet.

"You're strong," she huffed, sweat dotting her brow.

I smiled.

"You're not bad yourself, Bun-Bun."

That name earned me a fiery glare — and another charge.

She closed the gap again, this time lowering her center of gravity. A feint right elbow — then a sweeping leg strike aimed to trip me.

I jumped, landing behind her.

She spun. I ducked under her jab and tapped her forehead with two fingers.

"Gotcha."

Her eyes twitched. "That doesn't count!"

The Turning Point

The next minute was a blur of movement — silent steps, misdirection, mirrored movements.

At one point, she almost landed a shoulder throw — but I twisted in midair and landed upright.

Her stamina began to flag. My footwork only grew sharper.

She panted, her pink cheeks puffed.

Finally, I sidestepped a lunge and appeared behind her. She turned just in time to see my hand pointed at her throat.

Silence.

"Yield," I said calmly.

She stared at me for two seconds.

Then collapsed to her knees dramatically, hands raised.

"I… give… up!"

The crowd exploded in cheers and laughter.

Big Sis Becomes Lil' Sis

She pouted, cheeks puffed like a hamster. "Hmph! You didn't even use a soul skill!"

"Neither did you," I said, ruffling her hair.

"...You didn't let me win just 'cause I'm a girl, did you?"

"Nope. You lost because I'm stronger."

She sighed.

Then, with a dramatic sigh, she stood up and declared loudly:

"Fine! From now on… you're my big brother! Happy?!"

The crowd blinked.

I blinked.

She walked over, grabbed my arm, and looped it through hers like we were siblings returning from a family stroll.

"Come on, Big Brother Lin~ I'm hungry! Let's go get carrots!"

I stared at her for a moment.

Then sighed.

"...Only one carrot dish. I'm not made of points."

She grinned, skipping beside me like we hadn't just fought a deathmatch.

Behind us, Wang Sheng muttered, "...So she lost and evolved into a little sister?"
