Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Seeking Help

Luo Feng then listed his materials on the trading platform.

[Wood100] trades for [Excellent Seawater Purifier1]

[Palm Leaves100] trades for [Food20]

The moment Luo Feng posted these items, they immediately drew attention.

Currently, tradable items were still quite scarce for most people.

"Holy crap, whose supplies are these? How did someone already gather so many resources right from the start? Is this a cheat?"

"I've only managed to collect three pieces of wood so far, and this big shot already has a hundred? This is just unfair."

"Big shot, my raft was just damaged by a shark attack. Could you spare a few pieces of wood to help me repair it?"

"Gained Shock Value +2"

"Gained Shock Value +1"

"Gained Shock Value +2"

Luo Feng's Shock Value was increasing rapidly. Before long, the system's voice rang out again.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host. Shock Value has reached 100. Hundredfold Rewards unlocked."

Hundredfold Rewards already?

Without hesitation, Luo Feng controlled his Excellent Grappling Hook and hurled it toward a distant Wooden Treasure Chest.

Soon, he pulled the chest right in front of him.

Opening the Wooden Treasure Chest:

"Obtained Wood: +5"

"Obtained Palm Leaves: +10"

"Obtained Excellent Fishing Rod Blueprint: +1"

Hundredfold Rewards:

"Obtained Wood: +500"

"Obtained Palm Leaves: +1000"

"Obtained Perfect Fishing Rod Blueprint: +1"

Luo Feng was overjoyed with this haul—he had actually obtained a Perfect Fishing Rod!

With this, Luo Feng now had a reliable source of food.

[Fishing Rod]

Grade: Perfect

Description: Can catch fish without bait. Capable of reeling in not just fish but possibly other items as well.

[Perfect Fishing Rod: 30/30 Wood, 0/10 Rope, 5/5 Metal Fragments, 0/2 Plastic]

Luo Feng glanced at the materials required to craft the Perfect Fishing Rod. The higher the grade of an item, the more materials it demanded.

However, wood was no issue for Luo Feng—he had plenty of common materials like that.

As for rope, it could be directly crafted from wood.

[Ordinary Rope: 0/1 Wood]

Luo Feng went ahead and crafted 30 ropes in one go.

At this point, Luo Feng was practically swimming in resources, so he didn't have to worry about wasting wood.

Next, Luo Feng turned his attention to plastic.

He hadn't come across this material yet—it seemed to be a slightly rarer resource.

But even if he didn't have any, that wasn't a problem. He could always trade for it.

With that thought, Luo Feng opened the chat channel.

"Does anyone have plastic? I'm open to trades."

[Wood3] trades for [Plastic1]

His message quickly drew attention.

Right now, wood was in high demand for everyone.

Wood had a wide range of uses—the most basic being expanding one's small raft.

"I have palm leaves. Can I trade them for wood?"

"I have an extra metal piece here. Can I trade it for two pieces of wood?"

"I happen to have some plastic. Let's make a deal."

Soon, Luo Feng collected the plastic.

After all, in such a vast world, quite a few people had managed to obtain these materials.

[Perfect Fishing Rod: 10/10 Wood, 5/5 Rope, 3/3 Metal Pieces, 2/2 Plastic]

Once all the materials were gathered, Luo Feng gave the order to begin crafting the Perfect Fishing Rod.

The fishing rod would take half an hour to complete.

By now, Luo Feng had already begun to appreciate the thrill of trading.

Others were desperately short on basic materials, while Luo Feng happened to have plenty, allowing him to exchange for items others had acquired.

So, he took a glance at the trading section.

[Steamed Bun (B)] Trade for [Wood20] [Palm Leaves40]

[Wood*3] Trade for [Metal Pieces*2]

[Condom] Trade for [Plastic*10]

Luo Feng was momentarily stunned by the sheer variety of items listed. Who would have thought so many interesting things could be found out here at sea?

Right now, Luo Feng wasn't interested in trading for other materials.

He directly used his wood and palm leaves to trade for the Steamed Bun (B).

His transaction quickly caught the attention of others.

"Holy crap, seriously? A single steamed bun can trade for that many resources? Who the hell has this much material at this stage?"

"This trade actually shows a name—who is this 'Shura' guy? How did he get so many supplies so quickly? Is he cheating?"

"That's obviously just a username. I wonder if this Shura is some kind of wilderness survival expert in real life?"

Luo Feng also noticed that when trading in the chat, he could set a display name. So, he casually used the same name he often used in games.

Thinking about gaming reminded Luo Feng, an orphan, of one of his college classmates—Tang Xueying.

Tang Xueying was undoubtedly the campus belle at their university—perfect figure, stunning looks, practically the goddess in the eyes of countless guys.

In the entire school, only one other person could rival Tang Xueying's beauty.

That was Tang Xuewei—her older sister.

Luo Feng and Tang Xueying were classmates, but once, when he saw them together, he couldn't spot a single difference between them.

As someone who prided himself on being an expert at "spot the difference" games, Luo Feng was completely stumped—proof of just how identical they were.

Still, Luo Feng was fairly close with Tang Xueying since they were in the same class, whereas he barely interacted with Tang Xuewei.

Moreover, Luo Feng had quite a soft spot for Tang Xueying. Just yesterday, he had invited her to play games together—who knew they'd end up in this world today?

The thought made Luo Feng worry—had Tang Xueying also been dragged into this ocean world?

So, he decided to post in the chat channel.

"Tang Xueying, have you entered this world? If you h

ave, can you contact me?"

After Luo Feng spoke, he caught the attention of the crowd.

These people had already remembered Luo Feng's gaming name because of his generous spending.
