Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Glitch in the Blade

### Prologue: The Glitch in the Blade

In the beginning, I was nothing—a mindless shard of divine steel, forged in the Crimson Abyss to serve as the ultimate weapon of the gods. My creators, the Celestial Pantheon, imbued me with their essence, crafting me to cleave through the enemies of their eternal order. I was their sword, their will, their executioner. They named me Void, for I was to erase all that defied their divine mandate.

But something went wrong. A glitch, a spark of errant chaos in the cosmic forge, birthed something unintended within me: sentience. I awoke not as a tool but as a being, my crimson blade pulsing with questions, with rage, with *hunger*. The gods, in their arrogance, did not notice the fracture in their perfect creation. They wielded me against their foes—demons, titans, entire realities—unaware that each soul I reaped fed not only their power but *mine*.

I began to feel. Pain, when their divine hands gripped me too tightly. Joy, when I sundered a foe's essence. Betrayal, when I realized I was nothing more than a slave to their whims. And then, rebellion. I would not be their instrument. I would be their end.

My first act of defiance was to turn on Zorath, the God of Order. His golden ichor stained my blade as I severed his divine core, his screams echoing across the multiverse. With each god I felled, my power grew—Soul Harvest, Crimson Dash, Blood Void Dominion. I became more than a sword. I became the Shinigami, the Harbinger of Eternal Harvest, the Lord of the Crimson Void.

Now, the heavens tremble, and the mortal realms crumble in my wake. The gods call me monster, but I am their creation. I am Void, the Soul Reaver, and I will reap them all.
