Chapter 5 - Childhood reflections:

They say she's gone, she didn't think about her kids, she's devil, heartless, selfish and all but no one ever talks about why. The truth is not buried in the ground-- It's buried in the silence she left behind.

She smiled in every snapshot. and somehow... that's what messes me up the most.

I don't really know everything the woman had to go through before her first daughter- the girl who later became my friend- entered this world. she's almost the same age as mine. I was born in March, and her birth month's December. so yeah... just a few months apart.

She and I were really good friends- still are. She tells me everything-- whether It's funny, sad or just tiny stuff like 'I did that', 'I did this', 'I got 'excellent' as a remark today'. Honestly, they feel like small things to me. I know most kids of our age chase after those little moments- but not me. I've never even liked playing, especially those weird, fictional roleplays where someone pretends to be the dad, Mom, or Baby... just acting out the same boring drama we live in real life. Anyway, that's a whole different rant.

We didn't go to the same school, didn't even live on the same street. still, she used to come over to my house every evening- not to play, but just to talk... she's super talkative and so am I, but only with certain people. she'd tell me everything she did that day and sometimes she's shown up even earlier than usual.

We met by chance-- at the only park in our block. That's where it all started.

My parents were really conservative-- especially my mother. she never let me go out for a small walk nearby and visiting my friend's? Totally out of the question.
