On a late night after a both men had completed a separate mission for the ada and pm, dazai and chuuya crossed paths when walking to their apartments. "Well look who I bumped into, lil' chibi" Dazai said walking up to chuuya with a smirk.
"This is just great, I get to see an overgrown beanstalk on my way home, lucky me" chuuya groans already dreading the coming interaction.
"Hey chibi I never really realised how short you were. What, did you stop growing in second grade?" Dazai snickered while walking lazily next to chuuya.
"I DID NOT STOP GROWING IN SECOND GRADE YOU DAMN MACKEREL!" Chuuya yelled already fuming because of dazai's antics as usual.
"I'm just saying no 20 year old is that height and was still growing in high school" dazai replied "though you're height is kinda cute" dazai leaned down looking at chuuya with a smirk. It was his usual smirk but for once it left chuuya unsure if he was mocking him or being serious.
"Shut up with the teasing makerel" chuuya retorted though it lacked it s usual bite. Chuuya and dazai kept walking though. Dazai started an endless amount of teasing while smirking the whole time happy to have gotten a different reaction out of chuuya. "Are you okay? You haven't hit me yet for teasing you… oh no my poor chibi has gotten sick" he says overly dramatically while poking chuuya as if to see if he's going to react.
Chuuya swats his hand away with an annoyed expression "are you trying to get hit dazai?" He looks up at him with a smirk and slightly violent glint in his eye.
"You're supposed to take me out for dinner before you get that dirty chibi" dazai says in a teasing voice while poking chuuya again. Chuuyas face immediately goes a bright red as he jumps back away from Dazai.
"I DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT YOU IDIOT!!!" Chuuya yells but keeping a distance from him and dazai though his face is still blushing. Dazai moves closer smirking.
"Is the feared mafia executive scared of a little joke?" Dazai teases slowly backing chuuya up against a wall. "Hit me then chibi". Chuuya gulps the proximity too close for his liking. Their lips mere inches away, but chuuya pushes him away.
"Have you ever heard of space?! You weirdo" He says pushing past him seeming as to escape from the dirty mind that is Dazai but deep down chuuyas heart was racing. "Just go home, stupid mackerel." Chuuya said dismissively almost muttering the last part as his voice quietens.
"Fine" Dazai groaned as if it was the most tragic thing in the world. "See you around chibi" Dazai waves and walks off into the distance, leaving chuuya behind stuck to the spot filled with an assortment of emotions. As well as many questions.
