Ellis Joyner is always at a beef with the sun in the mornings, it always hits him in the face when his sleep is always the best. With a groggy groan he slowly sits up in his bed before stretching like a gymnastic accompanied by some yawning here and there too "Man... it's that time of year already? oh summer why must you end at times like these..." reluctantly he rolls off the bed right into his feet before making his way into the bathroom to start his usual routine and mentally prepare himself for what's to come... no more games from this day onward, he's in the endgame now, the senior year looms over his head with unspoken threatening intent.
As for Ellis, he's an average nineteen-year-old on the outside. Messy brown hair that refuses to be combed no matter how hard one might try, a slim trapezoid build under his belt thanks for his unhealthy habit of skipping class and of course having the rare green eyes at his disposal. He's not the lonely type nor the popular, just in between and wanting to stay out of the spotlight. A little sarcastic, quick with comebacks and of course the colossal sass he has on that mouth of his.
Spitting the toothpaste out he washes his mouth off before glancing at himself into the mirror. While he prefers to be by himself it is quite hard to do so when you have a bandage that wraps all over left eye due to a certain... incident. With a soft sigh and replacing the dirty bandage with a new one, changing into a pair of gray jeans followed by a white t-shirt due to the weather being warm he was ready for trouble. Putting his backpack on and shielding his only good eye he started making his way towards his school.
Setting on a good pace on the pavement and already lost with his own thoughts a pretty loud voice echoes through his ear " 'ELLO THERE MATE!" Ellis lets out a startled yelp as he moves away, looking at the new guest that spawned like out of nowhere "J-Jeff? w-what the hell man! you scared me half to death!" the Jeff in question lets out a laugh patting Ellis on the shoulder, guiding him forward like an old man "Relax man, you're still kickin'. So are you ready to head out to our doom? because I'm certainly more than ready... oh how much I missed seeing Jasmine... mark my words she'll become my wife this year".
Meet Jeff, the guy who doesn't follow the rules because he doesn't know how to read. Typically that friend you really don't want to hang around with but at hard times he's the only one who's going to stick with you until the very end. It's only natural he makes Ellis's life much more harder that it needs to be.
After a while of catching up and cursing each other to other realms unknown to humankind the two finally arrived at the gates of the high school. While Jeff was already thinking of ways how to probably smash some windows for good measure Ellis was mentally preparing himself for what's to come, not to mention those pesky students... the popular girls, that one bully who abuses lockers, the goth chick talking about reincarnation... it's all coming together. Oh and the teachers... oh the bloody teachers have the seniors at the tip of their fingers, finally taking some revenge on them for having to put up with their nonsense for three years.
"Jeez there's so many people in here" Mumbled Jeff under his breath as Ellis looks around with a frown plastered across his facial features, he already wants to restart summer, he was not thrilled in the slightest.
Usually in the first day of school nothing really happens... usually Ellis and Jeff would catch up with their friend group or their favorite art teacher but not this time, they were too bus squeezing through the crowd in order to get inside the main building. "You know Jeff, I already miss the idiots... Eliza and Matt made things interesting man" Jeff simply shrugs, but a soft sigh escaped from his lips "Life goes on eh? I tried to convince them not to drop from school but hey, it was like talking to a wall. Who knows what's going on in their lives behind closed doors" "I hate it when you're right Jeff".
Eventually they managed to find their classroom, a night prior on the group chat their head teacher, a grumpy man in his fifties, sent everyone the class number they'll spend their final year in... class F-5. Upon entering absolutely no one paid attention to the two, scanning the room Jeff was quick to claim a seat in the left middle row with Ellis following from behind "I did some studies and it's usually better to stay in the middle, you have better chances at cheating and not getting called out to the board" spoke Jeff as a matter of fact, Ellis just rolled his eyes before putting the school bag next to his chair and taking a seat "You're weird sometimes Jeff, but that's your charm".
Bored out of his mind already Jeff grabs his phone to play Geometry Dash... why? to farm those pretty stars of course. Ellis meanwhile studied the other students in the classroom, they were pretty much the same like last year... few exceptions to the class's hot girl which has some long nails as if she's Wolverine and the wealthy boys which are oddly clothed in business suit. But something was odd about the desks "Jeff? is it me or this desk is... big?" Jeff not even paying attention from his phone nodded "Yeah man it's so weird like this level, who the hell puts three spikes with a slow speed changer?" Ellis groans annoyed, snatching his phone for a moment "no man look, the desk literally can hold three people unlike two" Jeff was about to snap at Ellis but he takes in his words, his expression turning into confusion "Now that you mention it yeah, it's weird... does this mean we'll have to share with another dumbass the desk?".
Not having time to theorize on the fact the desks now are able to hold three students instead of two the door swings open revealing a peculiar grumpy man "Ah damn the dino arrived..." the dino in question, known as henry, also known as the head teacher, halts in front of the students. They all turned silent including our duo, staring at Mr. Henry who seemed to be looking out the window instead of talking. Nick, one of the wealthy boys was about to comment but the raspy voice of the dino cut him off "Welcome back to your final year of high school... blah blah... you the god damn point. No need for formalities and the boring speech, we know each other, you know what you all are in this year. All I can tell you everybody is good luck".
Jeff was trying his hardest not to burst into laughter while Ellis looked half asleep already. However Henry was not done talking "However while the main speech is boring, I do have to inform you that this year it will be a little bit different. We'll be having transferred students with us this year" a collective of groans are heard echoing throughout the room, some students straight up did not care while the others were starting a whole revolution. Jeff however was intrigued, definitely not thinking about the new girls while Ellis was questioning his life choices.
Henry, seeing the amount of chaos produced from a simple statement slams his palm into his desk, in a moment the whole classroom goes silent "Everyone shut the hell up before I give you all a starting test! as I was saying, these students come from Japan exclusively, they DO KNOW english so communication won't be a problem... your behaviors though? I have a better chance winning the lottery that convincing you all to behave. Regardless I want you ALL on your best behavior you hear me? otherwise we'll be having big trouble" the revolutionary students stood up ready to complain but the door swings open again... an in walked a group of people. Ellis already scans the majority of them trying to figure out which ones are threats... "Ah yes we were just talking of you. come in come in" Henry spoke with a forced smile behind that damn moustache of his.
There were roughly eight new students, all having their own quirks and odd looks. jeff was beaming with happiness since five of these students were girls "Man oh man so many potential waifu-" he got cut off by Ellis punching his gut, not too hard nor easy "Stop being a creep, we'll get in trouble day one." Jeff grumbles annoyed holding into his side, most likely spelling curses on Ellis for later. As the two were too busy kicking each other under the desk, Ellis's ears perked up as Henry's words finally reached to him again "Alright lass you're the final student that needs introduction, what's your name?" Ellis stops kicking as Jeff also turns around, the two were surely confused, were they so busy trying to assert dominance over the other that they missed everyone's introduction? clearly it's Jeff's fault.
The girl in question was a bit of an odd one in Ellis's eyes, a faint smile that doesn't reach her eyes... lifeless eyes... an emotionless cold figure who seems to be playing multiple personas at once, or at least that's what Ellis can make out. Her uniform was pristine and top quality, while she was giving off an uncertain vibe she had manners under her belt, but Ellis's uncertainty only grew the moment her lips moved apart and spoke "My name is Ayano Aishi" that tone of hers... cold, emotionless... matching her overall appearance. Even Jeff who's totally a lady killer was getting some bad readings from this girl.
Henry however wanting to be done with the new students just nods his head "Alright lass, welcome to our humble class, how about you go sit..." Henry quickly scans the room and locked eyes with Jeff for a brief moment before turning back to the girl "Between those two guys over there, their names are Jeff and Ellis".
The boys gave each other a look, Ayano didn't seemed to be bothered at all as she slowly made her way towards the desk, her steps graceful yet eerily silent. "Nice to meet you, boys, you can call me Ayano" she holds her hand out to Jeff and he reluctantly shook it... and she did the same thing with Ellis who was getting unsettled by this girl "Yeah... nice meeting you too mate.." mumbled Jeff as he moved on the left seat, allowing Ayano to take the middle seat. Everyone, in fact, except for the transferred students were glancing at Ayano but didn't really dare to say anything "Well now..." henry began, coughing a bit "Let us begin the senior year".
