Chapter 1 - Chapter1- Awakening

Lying motionless, in the cold dark pits of the abyss, in an ancient dungeon long laid dormant.

A being of great power displayed signs of life.

The air shifted. Dust, undisturbed for a thousand lifetimes, trembled as if in anticipation. Deep beneath the world, where time itself had forgotten to flow, something stirred.

A crack echoed in the silence — not of stone, but of soul.

Fingers twitched. A chest heaved. And then, a breath. Ragged, ancient, and raw. As if the very act of breathing defied the weight of centuries.

Eyes that had once seen stars now fluttered open to darkness, their glow faint, uncertain like dying embers remembering fire.

Memory surged like a flood through a dry riverbed, crashing against the dam of time. Pain. Glory. Loss. Purpose.

And with that breath — stolen from oblivion — the forgotten awoke.

Recovering from the harsh pain of flooded memories, a hand reached. Iced to the touch, the rugged yet perfectly preserved ancient hibernation device covered in moss and symbols long forgotten to the common tongue yet to the common eye, perceived as a long forgotten story.

The device slowly illuminated, inside and out around its smooth stone architecture that became crude overtime imbedded with small fractures yet still intact.

The icy glass retracted, the cold air setting in. The ancient being jolted, gasping for air followed with a pathetic attempt for an alarmed scream.

A rude, yet long awaited awakening. Utilising the dimmed light from the box, the individual took in what little he could see of his surroundings, struggling to lift up his arms, moving them around in a way that could portray his looks and his condition was not what he expected.

*echoing whispers* The abruptly awoken man struggled to call out in response to whispers. " Hello?". A distinct voice, crept upon him, no one in site nor the sound of footsteps. Looking around, he was surrounded by darkness and the distance echo of running water.

Still getting used to his condition, the man struggled to remove himself from the device he long laid in slumber, reaching out with the use of touch and hearing he clicked his tongue trying to find a passageway. Shortly finding a staircase, the man stumbled as he stubbed his toe. Reaching the top of the stairs, looking around he could see a glistening blue light. Attractive to the naked eye, a floating crystal filled with a dense yet illuminating blue mist pulsating.

*Whispers*Focusing, trying to understand what these inaudible whispers were trying to say. Approaching the crystal, the voice got louder, a sweet, angelic voice was soon heard "come closer".

Hovering over what looked to be an old and ancient slab with various sigils engraved, an arcane alter of sorts, the pulses eminating from the crystal slowly intensified, edging closer until finally reaching out and with a minute touch *BANG* laying his hands upon the crystal, the light intensified as if it was ALIVE a wave of energy pulsated knocking him back, reacting to the long forgotten touch of it's master. Pain, a burning sensation on the back of his hand engraving what looked to be the core being shielded by a dragon with gigantic wings.

A screen appears in front of the master displaying. " would you like to commence dungeon restoration. Y/N "

Upon clicking yes, the crystal soon dimmed until no light nor a drop of energy could be sensed. Until a small crystalline sparkle occurred and a enormous surge of energy spreading far and wide illuminating what looked to be well preserved ruined of castle, his eyes dashing around the room taking in as much visual information until. A throne fit for a king atop of a well designed staircase covered in runes was seen towering over the crystal from behind.

Small stet cures throughout the room appeared, moss resinded, illuminating fixtures encroaching the walls soon enlighting the room, the sudden surge of brightness cause the man to squint covering his eyes with the back of his hand taking in the surreal yet powerful changes to the surrounding environment.

Once complete, the crystal shone, not too brightly and not too dim, Balanced by nature itself. A screen arose, with a welcome. "Greetings. The First Ember, Lord Of The Deep Flame, He who sleeps below. Threxar, The Bound Dragon. First of his species, ruler of all draconians"

After touching the crystal, the sentient being lying within sensed the dormant power held deep within the humanoid figure. Reacting to this humanoid trying to claim him so the crystal could be reborn, sending a pulse of its power out, both powers clashed one dominating and claiming ownership of the other, the latter proudly accepted being claimed due to the immense power recuperated to it's aggressive approach. Ancient power, long forgotten with the baron lands of the abyss, very few in the modern era knew of this power.

The crystal awakened this dormant power within Threxar, both the crystal and Threxar were old, thousands of years old yet the crystal did not know of this powerful being in front of it and soon realised Threxar was much, much older.

After being engulfed by Threxars might, the crystal learnt Threxars name but knew very little information about him, but enough to fear and respect him all though clearly not as strong as his former glory.

After Threxar's power dominated the crystal, they became connected, almost one being yet seperated in physical form but their was a connection between the dungeon crystal life form and Threxar.

Threxars response to this was " where am I? What happened to my dungeon Azerakh? * looking around before asking another question * How long has it been? "

Hearing the slight stress and panick in Threxars voice the crystal let out a soothing energy to relax him before answering with. " My name is Synthia, and you are from before my time yet history has some records of you. As to what happened to you're old dungeon, I cannot say but we can assume that it is no more given you had no marking before connecting with me. You are currently in a deep and long abandoned section of the abyss, all you shall find here are forgotten civilisations and other dungeon entities without masters along with wild beasts roaming the caverns".

After some communication Threxar soon calmed, realising that his late memories of destruction before his long slumber were events that occurred 10,000's of years ago and nothing could be changed.

Now, all he has it what seems to be a powerful dungeon entity that has accepted him as a new master and a burning desire to learn what has happened since his time.
