Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: She Remembers Things That Never Happened

Mira shouldn't remember him.

But this morning, before her alarm rang, she woke up whispering a name the world didn't know.

"Rion."

She stared at her ceiling, half-expecting cracks to crawl across it—like the ones in her dream. But the ceiling was whole. Normal. Too normal.

No one remembers Rion Altes.

Not her mother. Not her classmates. Not the teachers who once scolded them for talking in the back row. No photo, no message, no official record.

But Mira remembers how he called her name like a secret.

And how he whispered, once, while the world burned around them:

*"Mira, don't believe everything you see."*

This morning, her reflection mouthed those same words before she did. That was when she knew—something was wrong.

If she was just a side character in someone's story, why did the world feel like it was breaking around her?
