It all started on a Friday evening. I was called by one of those girls to the sports room. When I got there, it was me and three others. And one of them stepped forward and said shamelessly:
- "Hey, you're the invisible girl? She laughed, then added, Figures, no dad no looks."
It was funny hearing those words knowing damn well none of what she said was a lie, because it defined me. And all I had to do was accept it. Then came the part that changed everything, she stated:
- "Why don't you do me a favor and carry our stuff for the day? Or for the rest of the year? You're used at being everyone's servant, aren't you?"
- "And what if I say no?" I spat out.
Back then, I was bold, maybe too bold. Bold and ignorant. And maybe that's why I'm being bullied now. That... and the whole "fatherless" thing.
Just because I refused a simple request, my life turned upside down, from hell to purgatory.
A quiet, creeping kind of suffering I never thought I'd experience.
Now, you're probably wondering, why didn't I inform the teachers? Well, I did. So many times, more than you can count, but I am a nobody at school. And when you're a nobody, your voice doesn't matter, especially when you're up against kids with powerful last names.
