Aria ' s pov
Everything around me was filled with darkness and an unknown shadow was coming towards me .The sound of its footstep made me feel paralyzed .
Each footstep sounded like a whisper from hell ,sending chills down my spine .
" I kept trying - desperately - to escape but I could not .I was trapped struggling to break free from that place , but it was like the darkness would not let me go
I ran, breathless my legs heavy like they were made of stone , The darkness closed in , and that shadow - the one with burning red eyes - kept coming closer .
I tried to scream , nothing came out
I gasped and shot upright drenched in sweat ,my heart pounded in my chest like it was trying to escape , i blinked at ceiling trying to remember where I was - what was real
Suddenly a voice echoed through the void - " Ma'am, please wake up ! It's already late , have your breakfast
My eyes flew open - sunlight was now spilling through the curtain and realized I was back in my room , the maid stood near the door ,tray in-hand , looking at me with concern
" The dream still clung to me like smoke "
I had ordered flora , my maid who was standing near my bed to bring my breakfast, she placed the tray gently on the table and looked at me with concern .
" Ma'am , are you alright ? You look pale " she asked softly
I forced a small smile , I "m fine pretending everything was normal. I did not want to talk about the dream of whatever it was .
" You can leave now " I added ,keeping my voice calm she quietly left the room . " I stared at the food , unsure why this dream kept coming back again and again , why did it brother me so much ?
" I remember my childhood clearly " my father left us when I was young , so it was just my mother and me we lived together until she passed away, after that , I was sent to an orphanage
I completed my schooling and received a scholarship to continue with college , but I don't remember any of my college memories.
What surprised me the most is that I don't remember how I met my father and his family ,yes he has a new family .
The first time I saw them was from a hospital bed , I was in shock - I thought they must hate me ,but to my surprise Myra and Raha ,my sister's showered me with love, I grew to love them deeply too even my goofy brother .
" They sent me to newyork to leave behind those haunting dreams and begin a fresh new life .
Raha joined after a while but now she has some work to do , so she 's no longer with me"Right now I am living with my brother leon "
I stood up and started getting ready for college .it was my first day and I didn't want to be late I felt little nervous , my sister worked so hard to get me admitted to this college so , I had to behave well
I got ready for college -slipped into my black jeans and green top , dabbed on a little makeup and had my breakfast before heading out .but even in the morning rush that haunting dream still lingered , quietly weighing on my mind..
