While Oberon was questioning inside the girl's body, the girl in front of her continued looking at him, waiting for his response.
To the girl's eye, Oberon was undoubtedly beautiful, everything about him screamed "prince" but that would be in another time.
What she needed was the response she was waiting for, once again, the girl called out to Oberon.
"Uh... Hello, are you there?" The girl waved her hand in front of Oberon's face, snapping him out to his ponder.
"Yes, yes~ what does this beautiful girl need from me?" Oberon smiled at her, questioning the girl's actions.
"Well... I just thought... Why are you crouching in the alley?" The girl answers Oberon's question indifferently.
"Well, what can I say? I'm broke and never have a house, oh, poor me~" Oberon jokingly teared up.
The girl looked at him with pity and felt bad about her questions, she can only keep quiet while looking down.
Oberon seeing this can't help but smirk, it was easy for him to play with their emotions, a little tweaky here and there, they'll immediately feel bad.
"Hahaha~ just joking- right, how rude of me. My name is Oberon, just Oberon." Oberon posed, his hand behind his back while his other hand touched his chest, bowing a little with gracefulness to his motions.
The girl smiled at his introduction, she too, introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you too Oberon-san, my name is Mei, Raiden Mei." The girl- no, Mei smiled at Oberon but then, her smile went off, sharing her name was cursed.
It was a curse she inherited because of the actions of her father... Mei could only wait for criticism, yet...
It never comes, silent simply was only a sound she could hear, looking up- Mei saw Oberon smile, it was an easy going smile, looking at this, she can only ask.
"You're... Not gonna criticize me?" Her shaky voice came out to her mouth, hearing this, Oberon could only tilt his head.
"Criticize? Why would I do that? I don't know you nor do I know why you would ask that question." Mei hearing this could only look at him with confusion, he didn't know her?
The world treated her father as a criminal, and she too was treated as a criminal just like her father.
"I... Don't you watch the news on tv?"
"I don't~ I'm new to this city and never bother looking at the media~" Oberon answered her questions with no indifference.
"Why, don't tell me you're famous~~?" He jokingly asked the question.
Mei seeing his lively nature can't help but sigh in relief, not because he doesn't know her situation- but because of his nature, his easy going Bright smile still plastered across his face.
"Well, we can go that way. I am indeed famous, Oberon-san" Mei smiled at him, she finally can talk with someone who will not criticize her.
Raiden Mei POV:
I was once loved by everyone and idolized because of my father's business, being the daughter of Raiden Ryoma, the CEO of ME corporation, a massive electric corporation in nagazoria.
Everyone treated me with care and love, I have friends to talk to, and teachers to look at me with greater care. Of course I'm grateful for them, but sometimes I feel embarrassed...
Ah, well not about their actions but to me, I never did anything to my father's company but everyone seems happy and eager to talk to me, praising my work.
But... Those times did not last long, my life went dramatically in another direction, my father was framed and accused of being a fraud.
Reporters once burst in my house, questioning me, asking my father whereabouts, and so on.
Overwhelmed by despair, I could only hide in my room, and wait for them to go away. The once lively mansion, has now become a deserted place, the maids left, the driver and the cook left the house.
Me, being the daughter of Raiden Ryoma could only shoulder the burden my father left. It was a relief my bank account has not been frozen if so, I might have died from hunger.
Since everyone left this house, I can only cook to myself, even though this was my first time cooking, the food was edible.
I've missed school for three days, tidying up my uniform, I left the house and walked towards the school... In the street, their disgusted gazes upon me, I could only lower my head and continue walking towards the school.
Once I arrived at school, I was hoping to find my friends but fate did not look upon me, instead what I received was criticized, disgusted, judgement and betrayal...
I tried to talk with my friends instead of compassion and sympathy, I got insults and criticisms.
Only then I realized, they only wanted my heritage and money, they never cared about "Raiden Mei" but the "Raiden Mei" as the heritage of ME corporation.
Faced with betrayals and insults, I could only lower my head and head towards the classroom.

How truly ironic, we condemn each other for a single misstep, a moment of weakness, a lapse in judgment. We forget that we're all works in progress, that we're all stumbling toward growth and understanding. We demand perfection, yet we're far from perfect ourselves.
