Chapter 3 - CREATION CORE

Damien opened his eyes in the endless darkness, with only a single thing flickering in his eyes.

[World core awakened:

Universe: Blank

 Creator Rank: Beginner

Core Power: 100

Return: Allows you to go back to your world for 24 hours every month

World Shaping: Make planets, stars, seas, landmasses, moons, atmospheres, and dimensions.

World Rules: Set how your world works: gravity, time, magic, physics.

Create Life: Create species, ecosystems, or sentient beings.

Cycles: Create basic time cycles: day/night, seasons, ages.

Edit World: Direct editing of created matter, species, or laws

]

Damien's thoughts swirled in the darkness. The flickering system window hovered silently in front of him, its pale glow the only anchor in the void.

He reached toward it, hand trembling slightly, not out of fear, but from sheer awareness. This wasn't just a menu; it wasn't some game. Every option here could twist reality from nothing.

[World Shaping]Planets. Stars. Seas. Moons. He hovered over it, then pulled back.

Not yet.

There was no rush. It was a blank universe, a canvas with infinite stretch. He could ruin it all with a single mistake.

He scrolled down to[World Rules].

Gravity. Time. Magic. Physics.

He narrowed his eyes. What would happen if he set nothing? Would objects float? Would time stand still? Would things break?

I need to know the rules before I set them.

He closed the tab.

Next was [Create Life]. Damien hesitated longer here. Species. Ecosystems. People.

Just clicking it might bring something into existence. What if he did something wrong? Something unstable?

He moved on.

[Cycles]Time loops: Day/Night, Seasons, Ages.

Does time even pass here? Damien asked quietly.

He looked around, still, there was only void. There was no sun, no moon, no wind. Just thought, and the quiet pulse of the Core at the edge of his mind.

[Timeflow: Frozen][Active Laws: None]

So, time only moved once rules were set or the world had begun to exist. That explained the stillness.

Damien hovered over[World Shaping], breath held.

It wasn't that he feared the unknown; he feared the permanence of it. Once he made something, it wouldn't just exist, it would define what came after. But the silence, the weightless pressure of the void, was getting to him.

He tapped the tab.

The window expanded, revealing new options. A lattice of choices branched out in his vision:

[Planet][Star][Moon][Atmosphere][Sea][Dimension]

His eyes rested on the simplest: [Landmass].

Just ground, somewhere to stand and think. It felt like a safe first step.

He selected it.

A prompt appeared:

Define Size:Small | Medium | Large | Custom

He chose Small, hesitated, then hit Confirm.

The reaction was immediate.

With a soft rumble that echoed in the back of his mind, space bent below him. Light spilt out in threads, golden veins spreading across the void, weaving geometry out of absence. From that tangled web, something solid rose.

A small floating island formed beneath his feet, stone-grey and warm, smooth like obsidian, wide enough to hold a small plaza.

He staggered slightly as gravity snapped into place.

[Landmass Created: 200 meters][Core Power Used: 5][Remaining: 95]

It was beautiful.

It was real.

Damien crouched and pressed a hand to the surface. It felt stable. Grounded. There was no wind, no sound, but the sensation of something being present was overwhelming.

He stood again, eyes wide.

I made that, he whispered.

A single square of real terrain in an endless void.

It was small. It was simple. But it was his.

And in this silent universe, that meant everything.
