My name is Aria,I grew up with a single and wealthy mother in a small town called Ashwood.
Life was good,I had a friends that cherished and love me,maybe not for who I am but for what I have.
Aria,Aria.A voice echoed
'Hey,don't disturb me I'm writing my new novel'. I answered without turning to see who the person was.
'Hey come on, it's time to party'. She replied.
I look up from my book to see who the person was and it turns out to be my best friend,Ella.
'Come on,you know I don't play when it comes to my novel'. I answered her turning my head back to what I was writing.
Ella was my childhood friend and a sister,we grew up together,play,eat and even sleeps together at times. Life has been so great with her by my side and every moment spent with her feels so great.
'But you planned this party,it won't be good if you are not there.'She pleaded.
'Haa,you know I can't resist those puppy eyes that's why you are using it again right?'. I mumbled!.
I stood up from my sit and decided to follow her to the party since it won't be lively without me.
Pick a clothes for me, I don't know what to wear'. I said,heading to the bathroom.
You have a lot of clothes but yet couldn't pick which one to wear,huh you are so weird'.
After some minutes,I came back from the bathroom,wore my clothes,did my make up and went straight to the party without telling my mom.She doesn't care anyway.
The party has been going on before we got there and everyone was patiently waiting for me to come while some people have been thinking I wasn't coming.
I parked my car gently in the parking lot and got down Then I looked up at Ella seeing how happy she was I decided not to tell her that I won't stay long so as not to spoil her mood.
All eyes turned to us as we entered,even the school minions couldn't resist but stared at us,we ate without leaving crumbs.
I stepped aside to one corner of the hall to sit and let Ella do her things which is dancing with guys (her favorite things to do).
After some minutes I started getting bored so I stood up to go outside and breath in some fresh air.
My face was glued to my phone watching my favorite show on my way outside the hall when I bumped into someone.
I said sorry without looking up to see who the person was and continue walking away when I heard a cold voice behind me,
"How are you this rude'?.
I turned back to see who could dare talk to me like that and it turned out to be someone I had a biggest crush on.Elan
'Elan'!. I mumbled his name trying to recover from the shock.
'What are you doing here?'. I asked in disbelief.
Elan is not a type that goes to party how come'. I thought to my self.
Elan was the school heartthrob and practically our school face. A beauty with brain.
He's a tall and handsome looking guy and I've developed feelings for him since he got transferred to our school. Although I didn't show it to anyone in class but my best friend know about my feelings for him because we talked about him every night.
'What am I doing here?'he asked starring at me with a stern look, 'You mean I can't attend the party I was invited to'.
'No,no,I mean I'm sorry for bumping into you'. I replied with a trembling tone.
'Nah,it's okay. It's hard to see a rich kid with proper manner anyway.' With that,he just turned around and left.
'What a jerk.'I said angrily and rushed to my car.
'When I was in my car still replaying Elan statement in my head.I received a message from my maid that my mom is back from her trip and I needed to rush back home cos she was furious. I wonder what she was furious about. I dropped a message for Ella to grab a cab home that I won't be able to take her home because mom is back and I rushed home immediately.
When I got home I could hear my mom voice from the upstairs, 'What is it again this woman' I said in my mind while I find my way upstairs.
'Mom,you're back!.' I said, trying to give a peaceful atmosphere.
'Aria,I need a reason why you spend almost thousands of dollars on a party right now'. She said angrily.
I could sense it from her voice,the anger,I knew she wasn't joking with me. I must have did too much this time around.
Yeah,she wasn't lying at all,I spent almost 50 thousand dollars on party I didn't get to enjoy. I wasn't a spoiled child,I just like making my friends happy. They needed the party and I gave it to them.
'Mom,I didn't mean to spend much I just got carried away.' I said with a calm tone.
When she heard this,she just stared at me for a moment and moment and went to her room. I could still feel the anger through her gaze. So I decided to let her calm before talking to her.
Me and my Mom have a cool relationship but we weren't that close since she was always busy with work and I'm always in my room all day except when I go to school. But I can still ask for anything I want and talk about anything with her.
When I got to my room that night,I couldn't continue my novel so I just jump on my bed trying to sleep. Every conversation I had with Elan kept playing over and over on my head.How I got my mom angry also kept playing.
'It was actually a bad night for me'. Was the last thing I said before I slept off.
The next morning,I woke up with a heavy heart of how I made a fool of myself in my own party and how I got my mom angry. I shake it off and went to get ready for the day. After taking my bath and dressed up,I went downstairs to check if my mom has woken up yet.
When I got there,I saw her sitting on a couch reading her newspaper and sipping coffee.
When my maid saw me,she signaled to me that I shouldn't say anything cos she wasn't in good mood. So I told her to let me know when the breakfast is ready and went back to my room.
Last night incident literally made me forgot about Ella,I forgot to ask her how she got home.I picked my phone immediately I remembered,to text her.
After texting her,I decided to go through her story and what I saw left me questioning myself. It was Ella dancing intimately with Elan.
