Chapter 2 - Reincarnated Into Another World (1)

Arthur stared at his reflection in the mirror. His gaze didn't shift, his hand trailed from his smooth chest to his hair. 'I'm beautiful,' he thought, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Contrary to what people told him about Isekai, Arthur didn't feel anything. Well, if you excluded the pain from the memories that had flooded into him, nothing else felt unusual.

Maybe it was because he had already hoped for this to happen to him, and had read too many books with the same old trope that he decided, "Hey, why don't I switch things up," that was if anyone could even hear him in the first place.

Arthur's grin vanished as the memory of the last few minutes before his death flashed before his eyes.

His face turned a deep red, then with a sharp swing, he slammed his foot on the wardrobe the mirror stood on.

'Stupid Isekai! Stupid World!' he then gripped his leg tightly, as the maids opened their eyes wide as if enjoying his little drama.

Arthur turned to them, then he crouched low, burying his face with his palm. 'So shameful, but what about my kiss,' he sobbed slightly.

"All I wanted was one. Damn. Kiss," he whispered.

"Young Master?"

Arthur didn't raise his head to look at the voice, but from the memory he had just inherited, he could tell who it was. "What is it, Isabella?"

The young maid with black hair and eyes pointed at her lips. "If you want a kiss, Young Master…"

Arthur raised his head, only to see the four maids pointing at their lips. "We are happy to serve you."

Arthur blinked. 'Wait! Wait... Just one second!'

He looked left and right as if searching for a phone. He had been too caught up in the fact that he couldn't get his kiss that he hadn't even confirmed where he was.

Arthur crossed his legs, his finger placed on his jaw. 'Come to think of it, my monitor did write a weird message before I left…'

Arthur felt beads of sweat form on his forehead, his eyes struggling to stay open, as he felt his entire world flip over.

His hand trembled ever so slightly, as the cold snowy breeze made him feel like freezing.

Arthur glanced out the window from where he sat, then shifted his gaze to the maids, before rising and returning his focus to the mirror.

His hands were still trembling, he felt his leg slip and with a loud thud, the mirror fell to the ground—so did he.

The maids hurried to help him, his body was weightless so they carried him rather easily, even though he tried to lay on the ground a bit longer.

The absurd strength of the maids, their provocative acts, the modern-day medieval building, the air from the northern region of a strange land, and a strangely beautiful character.

Arthur's face twisted as he yelled, "Arthur Arcain, you son of a bitch!"

He quickly turned to the maids who were shocked by his vulgar tone and asked with a straight face, "Take me to my mother."

Yes, it must be a mistake. There was no way he was inside the body of his useless dipshit character who couldn't take in mana to save his life.

Greatest Prodigy, more like he was the worst mistake the developers ever made.

First, he had to check if their mothers matched. If they did, then there was nothing he could do but wait for his system to activate.

Arthur Arcain was still the character he used to finish the game after all. And plus, he had hot baddies around him.

And if it was Arthur Arcain he was in, then this was an all-women clan—with no male competitors.

Arthur grinned broadly. 'Either way it is a win-win. Hell, I'm thinking it would be better if I was really Arthur Arcain.'

Isabella and the other three maids guided Arthur through the expansive hallway. His eyes instinctively drifted from one spot to another; he already possessed memories of this mansion, however seeing it firsthand felt entirely different.

Isabella, who was leading the group and walking beside Arthur, glanced at him. "Young Master, you look rather radiant today."

Arthur met her gaze—her tone held a hint of suspicion—but he wasn't in the mood to answer questions, so he simply looked away. "Is that so?"

Isabella smiled, as though his reaction was exactly what she had expected. They walked for another minute in silence before arriving at a massive black door crafted from obsidian.

Isabella intended to glance at Arthur, but before she could, he stepped in front of the group.

"Mother is supposed to be in a meeting, correct?"

Isabella bowed. "Yes, Young Master." She lifted her gaze slightly. "That means only you can open the door."

In The Magic Academy's Scholars game, Arthur Arcain was a powerful character not just because he served as fan service, but because he was a critical ally needed to complete one of the hidden quests.

This quest involved retrieving the liquid elixir from the Demonic Dragon Clan, and since the Matriarch listened to no one except her son, he was an essential component of that mission.

Arthur placed his hand on the door and pushed with all his strength.

Typically, only those who were awakened and could wield mana or aura could open it, but if it was Arthur, and his mother sensed him, then... it would surely open.

And just as he anticipated, the door slowly creaked open.

The moment the room beyond the door came into view, the loud chime of a system echoed in Arthur's mind.
