The young man in black robes stared at Jax with an unreadable expression, he finally breaking the silence .
> "Your talent… it's too dangerous."
Jax furrowed his brows. "Dangerous? What do you mean my talent is dangerous?"
The man's eyes sharpened like twin blades forged from ice as he look at Jax.
"For centuries," he said slowly, "no one—not a single soul—has ever awakened the power to tame magical beasts."
He stepped forward, as his eyes locked on Jax.
"Humanity's greatest enemy… has never been the other races. It has always been magical beasts. Creatures born of elemental fury and primal instinct—beings of destruction. They don't follow rules. They don't care for reason. The weaker ones are driven by hunger alone… and the powerful ones rule the wilderness like tyrants."
His voice dropped lower.
"Even now, every kingdom, powerful clan, academy, and dark force and even the other races had continues to fight them. But the truth is… no one has ever truly won."
Jax stood still, his heart pounding as he listening to the young man words.
"And now," the man continued, "you have awakened the ability to control them. Not just tame them—but command them."
The words fell into Jax's chest like iron weights.
"Your talent," the man said, "isn't just rare. It's something this world has never seen. Which means… everyone will come for you. Whether it's to recruit you, control you—or destroy you."
Jax's body stiffened.
> Mom… Maya…
"If the wrong people find out," the man added grimly, "they'll do anything possible to control you even that means doing after the people you care about. Your mother… your little sister…"
In that moment, Jax's aura shifted as he heard this.
A cold killing intent erupted from his heart.
And without a single word, the Skyforge Lion and the Golden Armored Eagle stepped forward, their eyes gleaming with cold light as they faced the young man before them. They knew they stood no chance against the young man… but if their master commanded it, they would attack without hesitation.
The atmosphere turned razor-sharp.
Jax clenched his fists, stepping forward with burning eyes.
"So what about you?" he said coldly. "Do you want to control me too?"
Even as he spoke, he knew the truth: he and his two beasts stood no chance against this man. But still—if this man dared to threaten his family...
"I don't care if you try to control me. But if anyone lays a finger on my family… I'll make them regret it. Even if it's you."
The man simply just smiled. A calm, casual smile as he look at Jax in the eyes and said.
"If I truly wanted to control you, you wouldn't even be standing right now."
Jax's eyes narrowed. He knew what the young man before him said was right but he still wanted to protect his family.
"Then what do you want?"
The man raised his hand, and the air around them calmed instantly.
"I want to give you an offer."
"An offer …What kind of offer?"
The man's voice was clear and strong.
"I want to take you as my disciple."
"...What?"
"You heard me."
The man gave him a rare, genuine smile.
"You are the first Beast Monarch this world has ever seen. Your path will be full of trials—people will try to use you, kill you, worship you. But if you accept me as your master… I will protect your family. I'll give you cultivation resources. I'll help you grow strong. And I'll guide you to tame even more powerful beasts."
Jax stared at him, confused.
"Why? What do you get out of this?"
The man looked off into the distance, as if seeing something far beyond the present.
"I want to see how far you'll go," he said. "That's all. You are the only one… the only one who can do this. And I want to witness it."
" Do what...."
The young man did not replied but simply look at Jax .
Jax fell into silence.
> With his help, Mom and Maya will be safe... I'll have a real chance. But what does he want me to do.
Even with all his suspicions, Jax understood one thing clearly: in this dangerous world, he couldn't survive alone.
Jax exhaled slowly.
"Ok …I accept."
The man's smile widened.
"Good. Good. Good."
With a casual flick of his fingers, a golden token appeared in the air between them, glowing with radiant energy.
"This is my disciple's token," the man said. "It will mark you as mine. With this, no one under heaven will dare to touch you."
Jax reached out and caught the token. His eyes widened.
"You just pulled this out of thin air?"
The man raised his hand and revealed a black ring etched with silver runes.
"This is a storage ring," he said. "A spatial treasure that can store anything—except living things. I'll get you one later."
> A storage ring?! Like in those cultivation novels from Earth?!
"Drip your blood on the token," the man instructed. "It'll bind to you."
Jax nodded and pricked his finger. A drop of blood fell onto the token—and the moment it touched, the token burst into light and shot into his chest, vanishing into his body like a star fusing with his soul.
"W-What was that?!"
"Don't panic," the man said with a slight laugh. "It's bound to your life force. You can summon it with a thought."
Jax closed his eyes and felt the token— glowing warmth in his chest, steady and firm, like a mark of destiny.
Then he looked up at the young man.
"…If I'm your disciple now," Jax said, "shouldn't I know your name?"
The man grinned.
> "My name is King."
