Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

A car accident destroyed her life.

Her once smooth skin had become wrinkled and scarred. Her hands were amputated due to severe burns, and even her sweet voice had been lost in the crash.

The renowned top medical genius, Su Jin—now without hands—had become a shadow of her former self, neither fully human nor ghost… a discarded shell.

"You bitch, look at your disgusting self now. It honestly makes me so happy."

Su Nuo leaned in close to her ear, her voice laced with cruel pride.

"I'm afraid you still don't know… it's all thanks to me that you ended up like this."

She let out a soft, satisfied laugh.

"And guess what? Zeyu has already slept with me. He said he feels sick just looking at you."

When had Lu Zeyu gotten involved with Su Nuo?

No… no!

Lu Zeyu had once loved her deeply—he had even said he would marry her.

"No… he wouldn't do this to me," Su Jin murmured weakly, but no one could understand her broken voice.

Seeing her in such a pitiful state, Su Nuo laughed even louder.

"Oh? Still trying to talk? Let me guess—you want to ask why, don't you?"

Su Jin blinked slowly, her response a silent agreement.

"Because only when you die… will Zeyu completely belong to me," Su Nuo hissed through gritted teeth.

Su Jin's eyes widened in shock, filled with disbelief and mounting hatred.

"I'm telling you this so you can die knowing the truth. You really thought your father loved you?" Su Nuo sneered, her tone dripping with scorn.

"Don't be so naive. Your father only cared about your value. Now that you're useless, he has no reason to care."

No wonder her father hadn't appeared once since she was hospitalized.

So that was it.

How foolish she had been, always believing he truly loved her. She had worked tirelessly for the Su family, pouring in her heart and soul.

Now, all she felt was regret… and hate.

She had been blind to the viper by her side—Su Nuo, the venomous snake she never recognized for what she truly was.

She had pretended to be gentle, weak, considerate… but it was all a calculated act.

And yet, Su Jin had treated her like a real sister.

In the end, she had fallen to such a miserable state.

Seeing the despair and sorrow on Su Jin's face, Su Nuo let out a twisted giggle. She gently stroked her own chest, her expression turning sinister.

"So go ahead and die," she said coldly. "Only when you're gone will this healthy heart truly belong to me. I'll be able to have children for Brother Zeyu… and live a happy life with him."

Su Jin spiralled into collapse and madness. She shook her head wildly, refusing to accept the cruel reality.

The people she cared about most hated her and took everything away from her.

She had to die.

"Wuwuwuwu…" The hoarse sound rasped from Su Jin's throat. She was like a trapped animal, struggling in the face of death.

She didn't want Su Nuo to get what she wanted.

Seeing her resistance, Su Nuo smiled even more gleefully.

"There's no need to look so surprised. I have good news for you."

Su Nuo raised her slender finger, showing off the diamond ring glittering on her hand. She shook it in front of Su Jin.

"Just now, Brother Zeyu proposed to me. He said he would love me for the rest of his life—forever. My father supports the marriage wholeheartedly and has even transferred your property into my name as a dowry. I'll marry Brother Zeyu with everyone's blessings…

And you? You're only fit to lie in a cold coffin."

After saying this, Su Nuo looked down at the pitiful Su Jin like a victorious queen.

"Oh, and one more thing—Fu Siyan is dead."

Su Jin's lifeless eyes suddenly regained their light, sharp and filled with shock.

Fu Siyan… dead?
